Steelers trade target Jalen Ramsey may have just followed Pittsburgh players on IG
The Jalen Ramsey-to-Pittsburgh rumors are red hot after his supposed following of several big-name Steelers players on social media.
The speculation storm took off on Thursday, as several fans and social media pages brought Ramsey's recent following list to light — with the four-time All-Pro cornerback seemingly having just followed Cam Heyward on Instagram.
Steelers fans should take the claims with a grain of salt, as it's difficult to pinpoint whether or not Ramsey had already followed him before the trade rumors began — and even if he did just follow him, it's hardly an official confirmation of his arrival in Pittsburgh.
Back in April, insider Ian Rapoport confirmed the Dolphins and Ramsey mutually agreed to seek a trade, with the Rams and Steelers serving as the two most likely landing spots — HC Sean McVay stated that 'obstacles' were preventing Los Angeles from making a move.
From Ramsey's UCLA training post to his supposed following of Steelers players, the intriguing developments in this potential trade scenario have kept the buzz alive this offseason.

Oregon Ducks target Khary Adams announces college commitment
The Oregon Ducks have been recruiting 4-star cornerback Khary Adams strongly over the past few months, but on Friday afternoon, they got some unwanted news. Adams, the No. 36 player and No. 3 cornerback in the 2026 class, per 247Sports, announced his commitment to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. It appeared that this was the likely outcome over the past week, especially when Adams cancelled an official visit that he had planned to Eugene for this weekend. Adams stands at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, and is from Towson, Maryland. It makes sense for him to stick closer to home at Notre Dame, but he would have been a significant win for Oregon had they been able to land him. This may not be the only win that Notre Dame gets over the Ducks on Friday in the recruiting world, either. 5-star safety Joey O'Brien is scheduled to announce his commitment later this afternoon, and the expectation is that the Oregon target is also going to end up committing to the Fighting Irish as well. While these are two unfortunate losses for the Ducks on the recruiting trail, they did get to celebrate a big win on Thursday, with 5-star safety Jett Washington joining Oregon's 2026 class. Washington is rated as the No. 18 player in the nation, and he becomes the No. 1-ranked safety to ever commit to the Ducks. Kobe Bryant's widely touted nephew commits to Oregon in college football splash
Though he bears a different last name and stars in a different sport, Jett Washington is carrying on the athletic legacy of his late uncle, Kobe Bryant. Washington announced his commitment Thursday night to play college football at Oregon. The top-ranked safety in ESPN's class of 2026 recruiting ranks, Washington is the highest-rated four-star recruit and holds the No. 22 spot in the entire class. Per 247Sports, he is a five-star recruit and holds the No. 18 spot in the 2026 class. 4 Jett Washington committed to Oregon to play his collegiate football. Jett Washington / Instagram Washington's commitment makes him Oregon's top-ranked defensive player in its 2026 class. He chose the Ducks over the likes of Alabama and USC, where he also took official visits. 'I have that great time with [Oregon defensive backs coach Chris Hampton] and the coaching staff,' Washington told ESPN. 'I loved the way they treated me out there. My relationship with them has been going the right way ever since I started talking to them.' 4 Jett Washington posing in an Oregon uniform on a visit to the program. Jett Washington / Instagram Washington hails from Las Vegas, where he is entering his senior season for the football powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School. In his junior year, he racked up 38 tackles and five interceptions. The youngster was practically destined to be an athlete, and not only because of his uncle. 4 Washington rocked a football-cleat version of his uncle's iconic Kobe 6 basketball shoe in his photoshoot with Oregon. Jett Washington / Instagram His father, Jerrod Washington, played running back at Virginia for four years before being drafted by the New England Patriots in 1994. His mother, Sharia Washington (Bryant's oldest sister), was a volleyball player at Temple. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing in at 210 pounds, Washington has some basketball-like size, which he not only utilizes on the football field. Like his uncle, Washington also has talent on the basketball court, as he helped lead Bishop Gorman to a second straight Nevada Class 5A state basketball title earlier this year. Washington was close with both Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, who were among the nine people tragically killed in a 2020 helicopter crash in California. 4 Jett Washington as a child smiling for a photo with his uncle, Kobe Bryant. Oregon Ducks / Instagram Washington wears No. 2 on the basketball court, just as Gianna did, and would go to his uncle for advice often. 'Jett was Kobe's guy,' Washington's father said. 'Kobe used to tell me, 'I need him every summer to come work with me.' He would give Jett words of wisdom. Anytime Jett would play in something, he'd send his uncle a clip, and Kobe would make a comment. Kobe would send him back emojis or tell him to make this adjustment or that adjustment. They were close.'

Big 12 basketball teams ranked by returning production entering 2025-26 season
The 2025-26 Big 12 basketball season continues to draw closer with teams planning their summer exhibition series and nonconference schedules being finalized. NBA draft prospects are either heading to the draft or returning to school after the deadline to declare passed in late May. The spring transfer portal is also in the rearview mirror meaning that most 2025-26 roster is finalized. Notable Big 12 players expected to be selected in the draft include Baylor's VJ Edgecombe and BYU's Egor Demin but plenty of other conference stars 12 stars will be back to dominate arguably the top conference in college basketball. CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein recently posted the Big 12's updated returning scoring numbers for the upcoming season. As is the case for football, returning production is a strong indicator of which teams will have success in the upcoming season. Despite the Big 12 sending the second-most teams to the 2025 NCAA tournament, the conference does not have a single team with more than 50% of their 2024-25 scoring returning. The transfer portal has complicated returning production due to several high-profile teams turning to the portal to replace departing stars. However, the stat still has value when looking at general preseason rankings and predictions. Here are Rothstein's returning scoring numbers for every Big 12 team entering 2025. Big 12 programs saw a lot of turnover following the 2024-25 seasons with no team returning more than half of their scoring production. Houston was the national runner-up, but even the Cougars won't have the same squad that nearly won the title last season. On the surface, these percentages would suggest more parity in the conference and perhaps more chances for sleeper teams to make a run. However, the transfer does deflate these numbers as top teams consistently add high-profile scorers that would not count towards returning production. Iowa State looks like a legit Big 12 contender after going 25-10 last season and Houston is not going anywhere setting the conference up for another hotly contested season. Some teams will be happy that their returning production is lower if they are looking to rebuild after a down year, Colorado, Arizona State and Oklahoma State are a few examples. However the Big 12 shakes out, it should be another wild basketball season. Follow Charlie Strella on X, Threads and Instagram.
