Brooklyn Beckham makes rare comment about dad David after 'family fallout'
Brooklyn Beckham has spoken about his father David as rumours of a family feud continue to rage on.
Over the past week David Beckham has been ringing in his milestone 50th birthday with a string of events, including a party at his and wife Victoria Beckham's £10,000,000 home in the Cotswolds and a star-studded dinner at the three-Michelin-star restaurant Core in Kensington.
The couple have been joined at these events by their children Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13.
However, notably absent has been Brooklyn, 26, which comes as reports claim the eldest Beckham child is at odds with his family, as is his wife Nicola Peltz, 30.
Brooklyn appeared to brush off any rumours of a feud in a new interview with The Sunday Times, as he openly spoke about his relationship with his former footballer dad.
Discussing his foray into Formula E, Brooklyn spoke about how he and his dad bonded over racing.
'It's something that me and my dad bonded over,' Brooklyn said at the Formula E Evo Sessions in Miami in March, revealing that his love for racing began when he was very young.
'My dad's had some pretty cool cars,' he added, revealing that David's number one is his '1954 Jaguar, which I very rarely drive, only when the weather's perfect'.
Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend any of the events for David's birthday – despite the couple also being in the UK last week.
Speaking to Metro, a source explained that Victoria is desperately hoping that Brooklyn will 'come around' as she has found the fallout 'devastating'.
'Victoria hates to think about her family being so divided, especially with it involving one of her children. Brooklyn's absence at David's 50th birthday party was noticeable and she desperately wished he would have been there,' said the source.
'She's hoping Brooklyn will come around and see things for what they are. They've always been a close-knit family and seeing how things are now has been devastating for Victoria and David.'
Reaching out to his son, David made an olive branch gesture earlier in the week, telling his son that he was 'missed' from a boys' trip fishing in Scotland as part of his birthday celebrations.
Posting on Instagram, David explained: 'Six months ago I planned a trip with my boys at the start of last week to camp and fish for my 50th was so much fun.'
He then posted photos taken on the holiday, including images of himself with his two sons. A few hours later, he shared a selfie he'd taken with Romeo and Cruz, acknowledging Brooklyn's absence.
'Fun times in Scotland, he wrote. More Trending
'You were missed,' he added, tagging his eldest son in the post.
It has been suggested that Kim Turnball, Romeo's new girlfriend, dated Brooklyn before she got into a relationship with Romeo, which has caused a rift between the brothers.
Although Cruz has rubbished claims that Brooklyn and Kim ever dated, it has still been reported that there are ongoing tensions within the family.

Superman fans still upset over David Corenswet's 'terrible' flying face
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Superman fans are still upset over David Corenswet's flying in a new snap from the upcoming movie about the beloved DC action hero. On seeing the picture, in which Superman looks like he's in an inspiring Amazon delivery ad, fans couldn't help but notice that David looked 'weird' in the wide-angle lens. 'The zoomed in fisheye lens look is so weird to me. I know everybody and their grandmother is obsessed with James Gunn and thinks he's some perfect filmmaker, but so much of the promotional material for this movie makes me want to not see it,' said @syaokuro on X. 'The close up shots look so weird,' said @Its_Me_Cole, while @ZibahTheCreator added: 'Why does it look AI generated than an actual studio work?' 'Probably gonna skip this one until it's free,' commented @Lbnumber34, while @adijain31 simply said: 'Looks funny af.' 'POV im waiting for you to give me my lil kiss on the forehead,' joked @Cuellar_Elissa about the hopeful facial expression on David's face. 'We need to retire this camera angle for good,' said @Rasheto. 'I know he REALLY wants this shot but man you gotta let this s**t go,' said @Jdemfoo. 'It looks terrible, unflattering and there's basically no right way to light this scene. Cutting room floor.' Some compared the moment to similar shots of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as Black Adam and Will Poulter as Adam Warlock in movies gone by. When the teaser trailer dropped in January fans had the same issue. 'I don't know why you would shoot a shot like this in that way. It's always gonna make a head appear bigger and give the shot a weird look – it also accentuates David Corenswet's strabismus eyes,' Reddit userDoctorBeatMaker reflected. 'I think there's something wrong with the cape too. It looks way too fake somehow,' equal-ad-2710 wrote. 'If I had to guess they've used this lens because it gives off a greater sense of speed and to be fair I definitely do get that feeling from it, even if it makes his face look a little weird because of the angle,' TheJosider defended. 'This shot looks so bad every time. why do filmmakers insist on it?' ProtectMeAtAllCosts complained. Over on X, many were comparing the flying sequence to Henry Cavill's version when he played Superman from 2013 to 2017 in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. 'Biggest downgrade in history of DC on screen,' chriwankenobi posted. 'The real issue isn't just the face it's the way he's flying the arms by his side just makes the flying look uncomfortable it makes David look ill at ease superman should look at ease when he's flying the flying should be graceful,' moviestvmad echoed. 'Seriously, what is up with these weird face-on lens distortion flying shots focusing only on the character's face lately? Black Adam, Adam Warlock, and now Superman. 'There are so many cooler ways to visualize flying; just look at anything in Man of Steel. These just look goofy,' @ColtonC_20 argued. For those worried about the use of computer graphics, however, the CEO of DC Studios and filmmaker James Gunn shut down speculation on Threads. 'Looks dope!! Great camera angle of Superman flying!! Except there's something with his face that looks a little off. I know there's plenty of time to refine the CG,' @blutattu commented. James replied: 'There is absolutely zero CG in his face. People's faces can look different when you put a wide angle lens up close. The background plate in Svalbard [a filming location in the Norwegian archipelago] is 100% real as is David.' For the most part, there is plenty of excitement for this new take on the age-old superhero, which also stars Rachel Brosnahan as heroine Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as villain Lex Luthor. 'Lives will be changed. I can't wait for this!' @silverscreen_re wrote. 'This movie is gonna be so f**king good…I actually can't wait,' @thecollectorn shared. 'Keep getting more and more hyped for this,' @theslyfox13 wrote. In a recent interview with Gizmodo, James reflected that the new movie was about the 'basic kindness of human beings' and even offered a rebuttal to the more toxic side of the internet. He continued: 'When I watch the trailer and the movie, we do have a sort of battered vision of Superman at the beginning. I think that is our country. 'I believe in the goodness of human beings. And I believe that most people in this country, despite their ideological beliefs [or] their politics, are doing their best to get by and trying to be good people, despite what it may seem like to the other side and what that other side might be. 'I think this movie is about that. It's about the basic kindness of human beings. And that it can be seen as uncool, and it can be seen as under siege when some of the darker voices are some of the louder voices. 'That's what happens when you let the internet seem like it's the world—when it's not the world. The world is us.' More Trending Meanwhile, the 31-year-old actor has previously opened up about the side-effects of bulking for the role. 'I wasn't 238 (pounds) when we started shooting. I was 238 at my max,' he told the Manly Things (Soft Of) podcast last year, as a result he 'didn't fit into any of [his] pants.' Superman arrives in cinemas on July 11, 2025. She shared the news by posting the piece to fans, which read: "For Phoenix. Born sleeping, forever loved." The phoenix bird symbolises immortality, resurrection and life after death. Kelsey - who announced in January she was expecting her first baby with boyfriend Will Lindsay - wrote on social media: "Before I receive an influx of lovely messages and heartfelt well wishes, I want to just say that I truly appreciate everything you are all going to say and share. "But with the news being so raw, I would really like to ensure that we as a family are given space and time to process this devastating and earth-shattering news. "I love you all and thank you for your understanding and space." After uploading the raw message, her followers were on hand to offer support and messages of condolence. Kate Ferdinand then posted: "Oh Kelsey, I'm so sorry. You've been through so much as a family already, this feels so unfair. "Thinking of you all and sending so much love." Kelsey Parker mum-shamed for admitting she doesn't put suncream on her kids She was referring to the fact that Kelsey lost her childhood sweetheart husband Tom Parker in 2022 aged 33 following a brain tumour diagnosis. Tom was aged just 33 when he died of glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, just 18 months after diagnosis. She shares two children, five-year-old Aurelia and Bodhi, four, with The Wanted star. The family have remained dedicated to raising funds for brain tumour research in Tom's honour with an annual charity football match in his memory. Married At First Sight expert and podcast host Paul Carrick-Brunson then shared his close bond with Kelsey, and wrote: "Kelsey, I'm heartbroken for you. "Over the last year, I've had the privilege of getting to know your strength, your grace, and the immense love you carry. "This loss is beyond words. I'm holding you and your family in my heart. May you feel surrounded by love as you begin to heal." Giovanna Fletcher then put: "A beautiful name for a beautiful soul. I'm so sorry for your loss Kelsey." The trio were just a handful of celebs who sent their best wishes, with fellow mum and TOWIE alum Amy Childs who added: "I'm so sorry for your loss Kelsey." Fans were also quick to add their messages of sadness. KELSEY'S JOURNEY Kelsey went public with her new relationship in September last year, saying she knew her late husband Tom would 'send the right man for her.' She excitedly revealed her pregnancy in January before being pictured ring shopping with her tree surgeon boyfriend, 27, earlier this month. Yet just days ago, her "haunting" words about pregnancy came to light. Kelsey said in March that she was trying to enjoy every moment of her pregnancy after losing her husband to a brain tumour in 2022 taught her "how precious life is". Speaking to OK! Magazine earlier this year, then-pregnant Kelsey said: "I'm due at the end of June. I'm trying to enjoy this pregnancy more, because I think when you've been through something like I've been through, you realise how precious life is. "I know that sounds clichéd, but it's true." 6 Married At First Sight's Paul C Brunson opened up on his bond with Kelsey Credit: YouTube/@The Diary of a CEO 6 Podcast anchor Giovanna Fletcher sent a sweet message Credit: Shutterstock Editorial
