This year I discovered Lisa Eldridge's Seamless Skin Enhancing Tint, (£37, lisaeldridge.com) a self-proclaimed ' Fresh, luminous and light coverage tint in a feel-good formula made of 78% skincare ingredients.' Not only is it pocket-friendly, but it is also packed with superlative skincare, plus looks and feels like your own skin - but better. Delivering plump-ness but also support, it is supple, but not slippery. I don't even need to powder . Heaven! Clarin's Skin Illusion Tinted Moisturiser SPF25, (£45, clarins.co.uk) is another trusty option.
I'm more than a little captivated by Prada's Dimension Eyeshadow in Poetry, (£67, boots.com). The payoff is mega and I love the metal foil effect of that pink. If you can't wear sparkle at Glastonbury, where can you? Charlotte Tilbury's new Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Sticks, (£30, charlottetilbury.com) are great multitaskers. I wear mine not just on my cheeks, but my lips and eyelids too. Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara, (£12.99, lookfantastic.com) is a total winner for festivals. Last but not least, makeup artist Francesca Abrahamovitch told me about ONE/SIZE On 'Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray (£15 at sephora.co.uk) and I have loved it ever since. It holds make up in place like a dream, keeping it looking fresher for longer.
We're not washing our hair at Glasto are we? ‘Not guilty': US singer Chris Brown fights UK assault charges in London court

The alleged incident took place at a nightclub in Hanover Square in London on 19 February 2023 while Brown was touring in the UK. Grammy winner Police detained him in the early hours of 13 May at a five-star hotel in Manchester after he reportedly flew in by private jet. Other bail terms include surrendering his passport if he is not travelling. He is also required to live at a specific address known to the court and is not permitted to visit the nightclub where the alleged assault took place or contact the alleged victim, Abraham Diah. He appeared in the dock with co-defendant Omololu Akinlolu, a US national, with whom he is jointly charged. Sabrina Carpenter's New No. 1 Hit Pushes A Years-Old Album Back To The Charts

There's a lot of excitement around Sabrina Carpenter and her music at the moment. Just when it looked like interest in her previous efforts might be dwindling, she announced another album — and earns another global smash at the same time. The recently-named Grammy winner dropped 'Manchild,' the first taste of her upcoming album Man's Best Friend, a little over a week ago. This frame, the cut launches at No. 1 on a number of charts all around the world, including in the United Kingdom, where she's become a true superstar. Fans in that country didn't just focus their listening on 'Manchild,' though. They also returned to several of her older titles, turning one of them into a success years after it was released. Carpenter broke into mainstream consciousness for many people in 2024 with Short n' Sweet, but it's her previous album Emails I Can't Send that mounts an impressive comeback. That project reenters both the Official Albums chart and the Official Albums Streaming ranking this week, after missing both tallies just a few days ago. The full-length returns at Nos. 93 and 98, respectively. Emails I Can't Send was released in the summer of 2022. By that point, Carpenter had already made a name for herself, but wasn't yet a true pop star. The project has thus far spent a little over a year on both tallies, and has only barely broken into the top 40 on either of them. In fact, Emails I Can't Send reached its all-time high of No. 40 on the main list of the most-consumed albums in the U.K. in March of 2025 — well over two years after it debuted. Short n' Sweet, Carpenter's latest full-length, also gains quite a bit of ground, seemingly pushed north by the release of 'Manchild,' even though that track isn't featured on the Grammy-winning project's tracklist. The project returns to No. 1 on the Official Albums Streaming list and continues to live inside the top 10 on the Official Albums chart, though it dips a few spaces. The set also ascends on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums rankings and reappears on the Official Vinyl Albums tally, becoming a bestselling title once again. 'Manchild' is one of seven tracks by Carpenter currently charting in the U.K. The new country-leaning pop tune opens at No. 1 on four of the half-dozen tallies on which it debuts, and becomes an instant top 10 smash across the board.

Town's 'good news' magazine to stop publication

A magazine celebrating the good news in a town is set to stop publication after its next issue in October. The Happy Hood, released quarterly, was started in 2018 in Northampton after receiving funding from the then borough council and the National Lottery. Laura Graham, the magazine's founder and editor, said the brand would continue along with its monthly walking group. In a post of social media she said: "Cost are rising, people can't volunteer like they used to, and people aren't buying it in the numbers they used to." Ms Graham added "funding is really difficult to get hold of" with the magazine running without any grants since 2023. Since launching, more than 250 people had made voluntary contributions to the publication which is sold in shops, bars and cafes in Northampton. Earlier this year it marked its seventh birthday and 26th edition with an event in the town. In her social media post Ms Graham said the decision to stop publication was "difficult". But she said: "What we've done is revolutionary, and unheard of, and we've done something really cool. "Who knows what we might do in the future."
