Triple H calls WWE a global brand, reveals location selection process
Triple H is Chief Content Officer for WWE and explains to the media why they love Vegas, but consider themselves a global brand.
The WWE "Monday Night Raw" fans roared and chanted "Goldberg" like it was still 30 years ago when the familiar beats of his entrance music hit. Many in the pro wrestling world are speculating whether he was there for the retirement match he alluded to not long ago.
Bill Goldberg was back in the WWE for the first time in more than three years Monday and announced his return to the ring in a confrontation with world heavyweight champion Gunther. During a segment in which Gunther initially challenged new Money in the Bank winner Seth Rollins, Goldberg instead appeared through the smoke and pyrotechnics once more.
The 58-year-old former NFL player congratulated Gunther on regaining his title last week and then told him they had a match at Saturday Night's Main Event on July 12 in Atlanta. Goldberg's feud with Gunther stems from a segment during the Bad Blood premium live event in Atlanta in October 2024, when Gunther insulted Goldberg in front of his son.
LIV MORGAN INJURY UPDATE: WWE Women's Tag Team Champion suffers shoulder injury
"A few months ago, you started something with me and my family in Atlanta, Georgia, and I am going to make sure I end it in Atlanta, Georgia," Goldberg told Gunther in front of the crowd in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Monday night. "You're mine because you're next."
Goldberg previously said during an appearance on ESPN's SEC Nation on Nov. 2, 2024, soon after his initial confrontation with Gunther, that WWE had granted his request for a retirement match in 2025. Goldberg did not mention retirement during Monday's appearance.
But WWE is already promoting the match as "Goldberg's Last Ride" on merchandise, and Goldberg wore a "Goldberg's Last Ride" shirt out to the ring to confront Gunther.
Goldberg became a pro wrestling sensation in WCW in the late 1990s, with a memorable undefeated streak using his spear and jackhammer finishing moves. He has appeared periodically in the WWE since WCW's demise, but not since a match against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber in February 2022.
Saturday Night's Main Event is scheduled for July 12 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Goldberg's hometown.

Watch: Tennessee Titans rookies take on Nashville Hot Chicken challenge
Watch: Tennessee Titans rookies take on Nashville Hot Chicken challenge With the NFL being in the midst of the dead period between the offseason workout program and training camp, this is a time when rookies and new acquisitions can become familiar with their new cities. For the new faces of the Tennessee Titans, Nashville is an incredible city full of nightlife and delicious food, and of course, Nashville Hot Chicken. The origins of this tasty cuisine are shrouded in betrayal and revenge, yet the spicy delicacy has become famous worldwide and is now, like a meat and three, a must-have when visiting the city. Recently, Hattie B's in Nashville welcomed some new faces and hosted some rookies for a hot chicken challenge. Were these young players up for the challenge? Watch and see. Being cheered on by Cam Ward, Xavier Restrepo, and a chorus of other rookies, Femi Oladejo and David Gbenda took part in the battle, diving into the fiery mixture of peppers and seasoning. Oladejo ultimately pulled out the victory after eating 16 wings, but Gbenda held his own with a respectable 15. While not a traditional football activity, these rookies hanging out and growing together off the field is an excellent sign for the future of the Titans. Even in this hot chicken challenge, the competitive nature of this class comes across loud and clear, speaking volumes about the cultural change being undertaken by the organization this offseason.

WWE legend makes bold Blake Monroe prediction after NXT arrival
Blake Monroe made her WWE debut earlier this month for the NXT brand as the company continued its tear of free-agent signings, shaking up the pro wrestling landscape. Monroe, who was formerly known as Mariah May, made a name for herself in Stardom and was a women's champion at All Elite Wrestling and ended her time there after an epic feud with Toni Storm. Now, she has her sights on NXT women's champion Jacy Jayne and the rest of the Fatal Influence faction, hoping to add another accolade to her already impressive resume. Pro wrestling legend Bubba Ray Dudley told Fox News Digital in a recent interview that Monroe maximized her potential in her previous role and that coming to WWE was the right move. "Blake Monroe has caught my eye, caught my intention over the last couple of years, for the body of work she was involved with in another company," he said. "She did a phenomenal job and maxed out her potential there. I don't think Blake Monroe could have gotten better at where she was, I don't think there was enough talent that was better than her for her to work up to. "I don't know if there was enough minds that could have worked with Blake Monroe to have her be the sports entertainer she could be. I didn't use the word pro wrestler I used sports entertainer because when you look at Blake Monroe's body of work the last couple of years its more sports entertainer than pro wrestler to me and at the end of the day it's world wrestling entertainment." Dudley expressed optimism that Monroe would be a "big star" in WWE moving forward. "So, I think Blake Monroe coming into NXT was a very smart move on her behalf, working with all this new talent I believe working with Shawn Michaels and working with all the talented creative people he has under him and the producers," he said. "Blake is truly going to shine in the system. And I think she will go on and be a big star in the WWE." Monroe had her "contract signing" on NXT this past Tuesday and told the audience that her "dream" was to always come to WWE – something she has posted about on social media continuously as she began her pro wrestling journey. It is unclear when her first official match will be, but Jayne gave Monroe her welcome to NXT moment when she put Monroe through a table.
