Health Minister Ong Ye Kung is "dismayed" at the $52,188 monthly rental bid for a general practitioner (GP) clinic in a Tampines HDB estate as "this must translate to higher cost of healthcare one way or another." I-Health Medical's unusually high bid to operate the 52 sq m ground-floor unit at Block 954C Tampines Street 96 continues to draw attention but a co-owner for the company insists they will not raise prices to compensate for their rental costs. Health Minister Ong said that going forward, bids for future HDB GP clinics will be assessed using a Price-Quality evaluation Model (PQM) that focuses less on price, and more on quality of care.

Health Minister Ong Ye Kung has expressed his dismay at the $52,188 monthly rental bid for a general practitioner (GP) clinic in a Tampines HDB estate as "this must translate to higher cost of healthcare one way or another."
The health minister made the comment in a Facebook post on 4 June after media reports of I-Health Medical's unusually high tender bid to operate the 52 sq m ground-floor unit at Block 954C Tampines Street 96.
Earlier this week, a co-owner for the healthcare firm, Andrew Chim had explained the unit's location near several Build-To-Order projects as well as the surrounding competition justified the high rental amount. Chim, in the same interview with the Straits Times, also said the company would not increase their prices. "Rent is not commensurate with [consultation] fee," Chim said in a separate interview with CNA. "I can assure you that the total bill for different cases will be in range for other heartland clinics."
HDB has also moved to assure the public that the rental for this Tampines clinic "does not set any price requirements for future tenders by HDB, and it also will not affect the rentals that HDB is charging other existing clinics."
I-Health Medical tendered for the Tampines unit in December 2024 and won it in March. This was before the Ministry of Health (MOH) and HDB had launched a new tender approach for GP clinics at Bartley Beacon last month.
Health Minister Ong said that going forward, bids for future HDB GP clinics will be assessed using a Price-Quality evaluation Model (PQM) that focuses less on price, and more on quality of care. "Quality of care will account for 70% of the tender evaluation, and rental 30%," he said.
"We will make the new PQM approach the norm, when tendering our GP clinics in our HDB heartlands," Ong said.

‘There's a baby in there. But it's dead:' mom shares horrific story

'Oh my god, you're pregnant.' The nurse had whispered it like a revelation. As if she had been delivering good news. But all Ash could do was blink at her. She had to once again recount her nightmare: 'That's literally the whole reason I'm here… There's a baby in there. But it's dead.' 3 'There's a baby in there. But it's dead,' a woman named Ash shared about her health issues. kidspot 'It could have been life-threatening' Ash had just completed a routine urine test ahead of surgery, which had flagged high hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) levels. Weeks beforehand, The Gold Coast mom terminated her pregnancy after the embryo implanted in her C-section scar, left behind from her previous pregnancy. 'It would have been like life-threatening had I continued that pregnancy ' Ash revealed to Kidspot. 3 Weeks before, Ash terminated her pregnancy after the embryo implanted in her C-section scar, left behind from a previous pregnancy. Seika – The frightening list of risks she was faced with included permanent bladder damage, severe haemorrhaging and the potential need for a hysterectomy. Scar tissue doesn't stretch like the uterus does. Had the baby been left to grow with the placenta attached to her scar, the outcome could have been devastating. It is one of the rarest forms of pregnancy, so rare that many doctors hadn't had much experience with a case like hers. It meant different specialists, numerous appointments and trying to find whatever information she could online. She turned to Google, Facebook groups and TikTok to find others who had experienced the same thing. 'I tried every possible like hashtag like 'cesarean scar', 'c-section defect.' I tried all of them,' she revealed. 'It's crazy that as women, we don't even know our own bodies and how things can work. It's just… it's crazy.' Originally, after terminating her pregnancy, doctors were keen to wait for her body to absorb and pass the pregnancy. The doctors treated her with methotrexate. Only they didn't foresee the complications. Ash was in and out of emergency rooms, consistently begging doctors to do something to help. 'That led to like a cascade of months of like emergency trips to the hospital where I was having haemorrhaging bleeds and intense pain,' she said. 'I'd get to the emergency and then they would say there's nothing that we can do. You've just got to wait for this to be absorbed by your body.' The mental toll of waiting became too much. 'I snapped one day' she admitted. 'How many more emergency trips to the hospital am I going to have to go through?' 'My bladder was fully adhered to my caesarean scar defect' Throughout this process, Ash repeatedly asked for other options. She'd asked doctors to perform a D&C (dilatation and curettage). 'They're like no you can't have a D&C due to the location of the pregnancy,' she recounted. Doctors were concerned it could lead to a rupture of her uterus. After months of complications, pain, and being medically gaslit, a private surgeon in Brisbane performed a robot-assisted laparoscopic resection of her uterus. 'They cut open the uterus. He took out the old pregnancy,' she explained. 3 'It's crazy that as women, we don't even know our own bodies and how things can work. It's just… it's crazy,' Ash said. kidspot But he found something else. 'My bladder was like fully adhered to my caesarean scar defect on the outside of my uterus,' Ash revealed. 'He said it was like folded like a concertina three times and attached.' It explained so much. 'I just thought, no wonder I could never fully empty my bladder after giving birth,' she said. For Ash, it explained symptoms she had ignored for years. 'So I remember asking him 'So is this the reason why that like I could never fully empty my bladder?'' she said. 'Since the surgery my bladder has been performing like normal. Like pre-children.' 'No one's talking about this' More and more mothers are experiencing chapters of her story, and in some cases some mothers replicate her experience. 'That's what made me want to share on TikTok. The amount of women that have come into my inbox and say 'I had this, I never even knew',' Ash revealed. 'We don't even know our own bodies, because no one's talking about this.' And through all of it, one thing kept her going. Her son. 'I kept thinking, 'I have to be okay. I have to be here for him,'' she said. ' As much as I wanted this baby, I already had a little boy who needed his mum.' The door isn't closed to more children, but the risks are now clear. 'I am allowed to try again after the three month mark,' Ash said. 'But there's a chance it could be an ectopic again.' Any new pregnancy would be high-risk and require close monitoring and early delivery by repeat caesarean. 'I don't know if I'm brave enough to risk it,' she admitted. 'I want another baby… but I also want to stay alive for the one I already have.'

Have You Seriously Considered The Option Of Orale Steroïden?

Steroid tablets may cause side-effects if taken for an extended period, such as osteoporosis and weight gain. You can minimize these side effects by taking calcium and vitamin D supplements, exercising regularly and refraining from smoking. Always carry with you a red or blue steroid emergency card provided by the person prescribing or dispensing your medicine, which outlines your dosage and medical condition to healthcare providers. Trustworthiness Online purchasing of steroids offers convenience, yet also poses certain risks to buyers' health and legal repercussions. Furthermore, counterfeit or unregulated products could be purchased. Therefore, buyers should ensure their vendors are legitimate by doing a detailed investigation and reviewing customer feedback as well as looking for professional website designs, secure payment options and transparent shipping policies from them. Steroids are powerful substances that can dramatically change how the body functions if taken under medical guidance and with other substances. If taken alone or taken by people not familiar with them, however, steroids can be potentially lethal. Google-owned YouTube and Facebook make it easy for potential steroid users to obtain appearance and performance-enhancing drugs (APEDs) without prescriptions, with searches for specific names of APEDs leading to videos providing contact details and instructions on purchasing them; other searches pointed towards bodybuilding or fitness model websites hosting content about steroids containing relevant terms relating to them. In addition, most websites did not present accurate information about use or risks and declined legal responsibility when selling illegal substances – all making life easy for steroid buyers. Customer service Purchase of steroids online requires taking into consideration several aspects to ensure its legality and safety, such as regional regulations, product authenticity and effectiveness, payment security measures and shipping policies. Users also often evaluate customer service by testing responsiveness and helpfulness of support teams. Steroids may be illegally used to enhance athletic performance, such as marathon running or swimming. Unfortunately, long-term or high dose use of these substances can have adverse side effects; to ensure safety it's important to consult a doctor first when considering taking steroids. As mentioned previously, steroids may interact with certain medicines, increasing your risk of side-effects. This is particularly relevant if taken in combination with NSAIDs that cause stomach ulcers; additionally, steroids can make you less sensitive to pain – this could pose problems if recovering from surgery or experiencing injury and this could result in serious health complications if left unchecked. Payment options Steroids may help treat flare-ups of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus or gout. Steroids can be taken in various forms; from tablets to liquids or creams or injections. Some individuals experience side effects from taking steroids; usually mild and they subside once treatment stops; this is more likely to happen when dosage levels are increased or taken for extended periods. Your treating provider will monitor your symptoms closely and may adjust dosage if symptoms worsen over time. Steroid tablets often cause more side effects than creams or injections because they enter the bloodstream, where they can have widespread impact. Steroid tablets may lead to weight gain and increased appetite; increase infection risks; raise pre-diabetes risks and bolster diabetes or pre-diabetes risks; slow growth rates among children or teenagers and require periodic height checks for those taking them; these adverse reactions must all be carefully considered before choosing which form of treatment would work best. Some individuals combine multiple anabolic steroids together, or 'stack', in order to enhance their effects. Others may 'pyramid' their use by gradually increasing doses over a period of time before stopping for a time so their bodies can recover. Product availability Steroids are powerful tools that can help increase muscle mass, boost strength, and enhance performance. But to avoid unwanted side effects and legal complications, orale steroïden must only be purchased from reliable licensed providers like myroidshop1 net/nl/. Steroids carry potential side effects and may even be illegal in certain countries, making it essential to understand the various legal implications when purchasing online. Doing your research thoroughly on this subject will enable you to make wiser purchase decisions while avoiding potential legal ramifications. Dianabol, Clenbuterol and Trenbolone are among the most widely available anabolic steroids on the market. All three compounds are known to accelerate muscle growth and fat loss and can be found in high doses on the market. Be wary of untrustworthy suppliers who sell counterfeit or substandard steroids that could pose health risks to users. TIME BUSINESS NEWS

Kate Middleton shares a a heartfelt statement after pulling out of Royal Ascot

Kate Middleton revealed why she was absent from Royal Ascot. The Princess of Wales, 43, was expected to attend the annual horse race on Tuesday and Wednesday alongside Prince William, King Charles, Queen Camilla and other royal family members. However, Middleton ended up pulling out and is now addressing how she spent the last few days. In a Friday message, Middleton showed her support during Children's Hospice Week, highlighting the work she has been busy doing. 4 Kate Middleton reveals what she's been focused on the past week. 'No parent expects to hear that their child has a serious health condition that could shorten their life,' the Princess wrote. 'Sadly, this is the reality faced by thousands of families across the country, leaving them heartbroken, fearful of the future and often desperately isolated.' 'Being able to access the support of one of the U.K.'s 54 children's hospices means they don't have to face that future alone,' added Middleton. 'As Patron of East Anglia's Children's Hospices and Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice in South Wales, I have the immense privilege of seeing for myself the extraordinary work of our children's hospices,' she continued. 'Lifting spirits through laughter, fun and play, as well as listening, holding, caring and sharing, they support children and families through life, death and beyond.' 4 Catherine, Princess of Wales paints the hand of Maggie aged 4 years old whose sibling is being treated at Tŷ Hafan, a children's hospice based in Sully. Getty Images Middleton concluded her message with a note to the public, explaining: 'This Children's Hospice Week,I hope you will join me in celebrating the life-changing work they do and thanking them for the vital care they provide to children and families experiencing the most challenging times.' The Princess has been a stark advocate for kids hospice services since tying the knot with Prince William in 2011. Throughout her overseas tours, Middleton has also visited numerous hospices. In January, the royal visited Tŷ Hafan for the first time in Sully, South Wales, which was built with the support of Princess Diana. 4 Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge visits Waikato Hospice Rainbow Place on April 12, 2014 in Cambridge, New Zealand. Getty Images The director of family well-being services, Tracy Jones, said of the Princess' arrival: 'She immediately gravitated to the children and families — she spent quality time talking to every child and their parents.' 'It's been the most inspiring visit,' Jones continued. 'She crouched down and was straightaway on the level of the children. If they were in a wheelchair, she crouched at that level. If they were on the floor, she would be at the level,' she continues. 'We were seriously impressed with how she could stay in a crouch, as it's not that comfortable!' 4 Prince William, Prince of Wales (Colonel of the Welsh Guards), Prince Louis of Wales, Prince George of Wales, Catherine, Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte of Wales watch an RAF flypast from the balcony of Buckingham Palace after attending Trooping The Colour 2025 on June 14, 2025 in London, England. Getty Images 'She instinctively seemed to know where to touch a child that was going to provide the connection, but not cause any distress or startle a child. She was looking at the children, even if she was talking to the parent. It's what we do, as we're used to working with children who are nonverbal.' Despite missing out on Royal Ascot, Middleton joined her husband and their three kids Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, for the annual Trooping the Colour in London on Saturday.
