Rainbow Six Siege X just dropped with its sleek new interface and gameplay upgrades. Whether you're a returning operator or fresh boots on the ground, one thing's for sure: the game is more fun with friends.
But with the all-new UI revamp in
Siege X
, even seasoned players might find the friend system a little unfamiliar. This guide will show you exactly how to add friends in Rainbow Six Siege X in the fastest, cleanest way possible, no matter what platform you're on.
Step 1: Launch the Game (All Platforms)
First things first — fire up
Rainbow Six Siege X
on your platform of choice. This could be:
PC (via Steam or Epic Games)
Console (PlayStation or Xbox)
Ubisoft Connect (the ecosystem that ties everything together)
No matter where you launch from, Ubisoft Connect will always be active in the background.
It's the bridge between your game and your social squad.

Step 2: Access the Social Menu
Once you're on the main screen (you'll see your operator standing by), look near the Playlist tab for a 'Social' or 'Friends' keybind. It's usually in the top-right corner of the screen.
On PC, press the key indicated (commonly Shift+F2)
On Console, use the designated controller button (usually Options or Menu)
This opens up the Social Menu, your one-stop hub for friend requests, parties, and invites.
Step 3: Use Ubisoft Connect to Add Friends
Once inside the Social Menu, you'll see an option to open Ubisoft Connect. That's where you can add new friends.
Here's how:
Open Ubisoft Connect overlay from the Social Menu
In the search bar, type your friend's exact Ubisoft username
Click on their profile and hit "Add Friend"
If they've sent you a request, you'll see it under the three-dot menu
Pro Tip
: Ubisoft usernames are case-sensitive and symbols matter. Double-check before hitting enter.
Step 4: Invite Friends to Your Party
Once added, your friends will appear under the 'Friends' tab.
Select their name
Hit "Invite to Party"
Wait for them to accept!
From there, you can jump into Core Siege, Dual Front, or any of the new Operation Daybreak playlists.
How to
Add Players from Previous Matches
in Rainbow Siege X?
Played with a cool random teammate? You can add them too!
Open the Scoreboard from the match summary
Select the player's name
Press the Ubisoft Connect button to send a request directly
That's it! Ubisoft may have redesigned the interface, but the process is still smooth once you get the hang of it. Squad up, strategize, and dominate—because Siege is best played with allies who've got your six.

6 open-world mechanics GTA 6 should borrow from Ubisoft's games

(Image via Rockstar Games) When it comes to open worlds, Ubisoft has been doing a lot . Sure, not everything hits, but some mechanics from games like Assassin's Creed , Far Cry , and Watch Dogs have changed how we explore digital worlds. With GTA 6 bringing us back to Vice City in full next-gen glory, Rockstar has a shot to level up — and borrowing a few tricks from Ubisoft wouldn't hurt. Here are 6 open-world mechanics from Ubisoft that GTA 6 should totally steal. 1. Seamless Co-Op (Watch Dogs: Legion) Watch Dogs: Legion gave us the ability to hop into missions with friends on the fly . No loading screens. No hassle. GTA Online is great, but if GTA 6 's campaign or side missions had instant co-op like Ubisoft's? Instant upgrade. Just press a button and boom — your buddy's in the mission with you. GTA 6 New Parkour Mechanisms 2. Parkour Climbing (Assassin's Creed) Vice City's rooftops and high-rises are begging to be explored. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed climbing system would be perfect. Let Lucia and Jason scale buildings, escape the cops parkour-style, or sneak into places like real pros. No more getting stuck on knee-high fences, please. 3. World Events & Ambushes (Far Cry) You're vibing through the jungle in Far Cry , and suddenly — ambush. Wild animal. Civilian in distress. GTA 6 should bring in these random events across Leonida. Imagine: you're cruising in Grassrivers, and someone runs up needing help escaping a gator. Or a shady roadside deal goes wrong. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like ¡No me lo pierdo! Orange Undo That chaos? Pure Rockstar energy. GTA 6 - NPC Details Leaked! 4. NPC Schedules & Daily Lives (Assassin's Creed: Odyssey) Ubisoft made their NPCs actually do stuff . They go to work, go home, and take breaks. In GTA 5, NPCs had some patterns, but GTA 6 could take this to a whole new level. Following a corrupt politician from mansion to nightclub to back-alley deal? Yes, please. Make us feel like the city breathes with or without us. 5. Hacking Tools (Watch Dogs 2) Ubisoft turned phones into power moves. Open a garage door, trigger a car alarm, or drain someone's bank account — all with a click. In GTA 6 , Jason and Lucia could seriously use some digital chaos. A Vice City full of hackable ATMs, cameras, and security systems? We're here for it. Ubisoft doesn't always hit gold, but they've mastered some genius mechanics that would feel right at home in GTA 6's wild and vibrant Leonida. Rockstar's open worlds are already iconic — but steal a little Ubisoft sauce, and we might just get the perfect criminal sandbox. Now it's just a matter of waiting for 2026… painfully. 5 smartphone myths you shouldn't fall for in 2025

Smartphones play a crucial role in our daily life, with over 7 billion users worldwide relying on these devices for communication, work, entertainment and creating content to make money. Despite rapid innovation and aggressive marketing, many buyers fall for common myths that can lead to poor purchasing decisions and wasted money. Understanding the facts behind these myths can help consumers make smarter choices. Here are five widespread smartphone misconceptions you should know before your next purchase. RAM in smartphones acts as short-term memory for running apps and processes. While the amount of RAM in phones has grown, from 6GB to as high as 16GB in some models, having more RAM does not automatically make a phone faster. Instead, RAM allows the phone to keep more apps active simultaneously without reloading them from slower storage. The speed of the RAM and the efficiency of the phone's processor play a bigger role in overall performance. A phone with a powerful processor and optimised software will often outperform one with excessive RAM but weaker hardware. Therefore, prioritising processor quality and software efficiency is more important than simply choosing the phone with the highest RAM. Also read: Love robots? 5 shows where humanoid robots are unexpected heroes High-end processors like Snapdragon 8 Elite or Apple's A18 Pro often receive attention for their raw power and gaming capabilities. However, most users will find mid-range processors such as Snapdragon 7 series or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 series to be more than sufficient for daily tasks like browsing, messaging, and streaming. Real-world performance depends heavily on software optimisation rather than just processor speed. Phones with mid-range chips and well-tuned software can provide smooth user experiences and better battery management. While flagship processors offer advanced AI and camera functions, these features rarely impact the average user's daily routine. Instead, focusing on how well the phone performs in everyday tasks and receives updates should guide your choice. Also read: Microsoft cancels Xbox handheld, but teases more thrilling portable gaming experience with Asus ROG Ally Many buyers believe that a higher megapixel count or multiple cameras automatically produce superior photos. In reality, photo quality depends on sensor size, lens quality, and image processing algorithms more than just the number of lenses or megapixels. Phones may include extra cameras like macro or depth sensors that serve little practical use and primarily boost marketing appeal. A well-executed dual-camera system often delivers better results than cluttered multi-camera setups on budget phones. Also, very high megapixel counts, such as 200MP, use pixel binning to combine pixels for better low-light shots, which results in photos that are smaller in resolution than the sensor suggests. Exceptional models like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra use high-resolution sensors to enable features such as detailed cropping and 8K video, but these benefits depend on good overall camera design, not megapixels alone. Also read: India's digital job scene to expand in 2025 with rise in AI and data-driven roles Specifications like high refresh rate displays, fast/rapid charging, and many camera lenses look impressive, but don't always translate into a smooth user experience. Software optimisation, battery management, thermal control, and regular software updates contribute significantly to how well a mobile phone performs day-to-day. A device with top-end specs but poor software tuning can feel slower and less reliable than a mid-range phone with efficient software. When choosing a phone, pay close attention to real-world reviews and the manufacturer's update policies rather than just the spec sheet. Specs and features often dominate buying decisions, but a critical aspect lies beyond the initial unboxing: after-sales support. Even the most advanced smartphones can develop faults or require repairs. Unfortunately, some brands have inconsistent warranty policies or limited service infrastructure. Users might face long waits for repairs, unavailability of parts, or out-of-pocket expenses for manufacturer faults. Issues like screen defects or battery problems can turn an otherwise good phone into a costly burden if support is lacking. Researching a brand's reputation and the quality of its customer service is essential for a smooth ownership experience. Also read: How to quietly limit someone on Instagram without blocking, unfollowing, or causing drama Smartphone buyers should look beyond marketing claims and focus on the real factors that affect their usage experience. More RAM doesn't mean faster speed, flagship processors are not necessary for most, megapixels aren't the sole measure of photo quality, and after-sales support matters as much as hardware specs. Consumers can avoid overspending and disappointment by understanding these truths and selecting devices that truly fit their needs. The key is to balance hardware capability, software optimisation, and reliable support rather than chasing every flashy spec on the market.

Rockstar removes PS Plus requirement for GTA Online on PS4 & PS5

Source: Rockstar Games PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players can temporarily play GTA Online without an active PlayStation Plus subscription for a short time. Rockstar and Sony have lifted the PS Plus requirement temporarily as part of the new Money Fronts update celebration, granting more players entry into Los Santos and a taste of the latest features. The free period will expire on July 1. Free GTA Online access now open to everybody on PlayStation — TezFunz2 (@TezFunz2) The PS Plus paywall for GTA Online has been dropped on both PS4 and PS5, so that everybody, whether subscribed to PS Plus or not, can play the game's online universe. This offer coincides with the release of Money Fronts , a new update that brings new criminal businesses, cars, and missions designed to further enrich the player's money-generating opportunities in the game. Rockstar has employed the same access events before, on the occasions of big content drops, to bring back lapsed players or bring in new players. While some of these events have run for a weekend, this one is running for two weeks until July 1. Throughout these two weeks, non-PS Plus players can experience GTA Online in its entirety, purchase new vehicles, engage in jobs, and enjoy community events taking place throughout Los Santos. Why Rockstar is doing this and what players will be getting This type of move is in line with Rockstar and Sony's wider strategy to promote player interest whenever a new update drops. GTA V keeps selling millions of copies each quarter, and for numerous new or casual gamers, the PS Plus subscription can act as a barrier to getting a taste of GTA Online. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo By lowering that barrier temporarily, Rockstar makes more people experience the latest updates and maybe stay engaged in the long run. Next week, an additional six vehicles will be included in the game as part of the Money Fronts update, and everyone, subscribed and non-subscribed alike, will have access to them if they play inside this timeframe. Meanwhile, existing PS Plus subscribers also have access to GTA III via the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog under the Extra and Premium plans. With Money Fronts rolling out and free access now available, there's never been a better time to revisit or try GTA Online on PlayStation.
