The hunt for 50,000 roses
Did you know that 7 out of 10 Filipinos report feeling stressed regularly1? While it's easy to blame our fast-paced world, it doesn't make stress any easier to live with. This is why self-care is now a popular concept aimed at prioritizing one's well-being.
Self-care that makes scents
From calming pillow sprays to aromatherapy laundry detergents, Filipinos are discovering scent as a form of self-care. Our sense of smell is directly connected to the part of the brain responsible for emotions and memory, which explains why certain aromas can reset a stressful day.
Citrus scents, for example, are known for their uplifting and energizing effect. Peppermint's fresh scent can help improve concentration and mental clarity. Rose is a classic floral fragrance that has been shown to have a relaxing effect, reducing stress and inducing calmness.
The profound effect of scent has been captured in the rosiest rose bango takeover the country has ever seen. The Rose Bango Hunt is a recently concluded campaign where Surf gave away 50,000 rose-scented fabric flowers nationwide. This massive, rosy fragrance movement put the scent of roses in the hands (and clothes) of families from Luzon to Mindanao.
From May 19 to 25, Surf painted the country with the scent of roses through rose carts vibrantly adorned with rose-scented fabric roses. Public markets, transport terminals, offices, and the most unexpected corners of barangays rode the tidal wave of rosy scent as Surf Rose Fresh-scented roses and powder packs were distributed.
Surf stirred excitement for the national hunt for roses by dropping daily clues on where to find the next location of their rose cart through social media.

Helping Filipinos live better lives—then and now. To mark this milestone, RLC unveils a bevy of special anniversary offers across its developments—each one designed to elevate everyday experiences. Forty-five years ago, on 4 June 1980, Robinsons Land began with a clear and lasting vision from its founder, Mr. John Gokongwei, Jr.: to shape spaces that uplift lives.
