The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday issued the Decree No 59 of 2025 appointing His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Maadheed as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport.
His Highness the Amir also issued the Decree No. 60 of 2025 appointing HE Dr. Ghanem bin Mubarak bin Ghanem Mohammed Al Ali as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture.
The decrees are effective from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.

QNA Doha His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed with his brother HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud the strong fraternal relations between the two countries, as well as a number of regional and international developments of common concern, particularly the Israeli attack on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This came during a phone call received on Sunday by HH the Amir from the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Both sides emphasized the need to de-escalate tensions and to reach diplomatic solutions. HH the Amir discussed with his brother HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the fraternal relations between the two countries. They also discussed a number of regional and international developments of common concern, particularly the Israeli attack on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This came during a phone call received by HH the Amir on Sunday from the UAE president. Both sides emphasized the need to de-escalate tensions and to reach diplomatic solutions. HH the Amir and President of the French Republic HE Emmanuel Macron discussed the developments following the recent attacks on the sisterly Islamic Republic of Iran, which targeted its nuclear facilities, and efforts to return to dialogue and diplomatic tracks to resolve outstanding issues. This came during a phone call HH the Amir received on Sunday from the President of the French Republic. Also during the call, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to regional and international developments of common concern. Likewise, His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed with Prime Minister of the Italian Republic HE Giorgia Meloni the latest regional and international developments of common concern. This came during a phone call HH the Amir received from Italy's Prime Minister on Sunday. The discussion also addressed the recent attacks on the sisterly Islamic Republic of Iran, including the targeting of its nuclear facilities, as well as efforts to resume dialogue and diplomatic initiatives to resolve the outstanding issues. Additionally, the two sides reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations, and explored ways to further strengthen and develop them.

QNA Doha The Ministry of Justice (MoJ), represented by the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, participated in the Saratov Legal Forum organised by the Saratov State Academy of Law in Russia, on June 19 and 20, via videoconferencing. Director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Ministry of Justice Dr Abdullah Hamad Al Khalidi presented a working paper on the future prospects for the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, capacity building and advancing the legal profession. He reviewed the centre's experience in supporting the legal system in Qatar through training and qualification programmes aimed at developing legal cadres in various sectors. Dr Al Khalidi highlighted the centre's efforts to build legal capacity through a range of programmes that include preparing judicial assistants, qualifying lawyers, and offering specialised courses in legal drafting, memorandum writing, and legal contracts, in addition to offering modern programmes in the fields of artificial intelligence and law, smart contracts, and digital transformation in the legal field. Dr Al Khalidi also discussed the centre's role in promoting legal research, noting the use of modern legal and statistical data to analyse legal reality and develop judicial policies. He also introduced the Center's Legal and Judicial Journal and its role in publishing peer-reviewed research and enhancing legal knowledge. In the area of legal awareness, Dr Al Khalidi showcased the centre's efforts to implement national initiatives aimed at raising legal awareness among various segments of society through community partnerships and the use of digital media to expand impact and disseminate legal culture. In his presentation, he also addressed the centre's strategic directions within the Ministry of Justice's 2025-2030 plan, including developing quality policies in training, establishing specialised legal writing units aligned with the Qatari legal system, integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the delivery and evaluation of training programmes, and building an integrated digital environment for managing legal knowledge in the country. The forum participants praised Qatar's experience in developing the legal profession, emphasising the importance of exchanging expertise and enhancing international cooperation in the field of legal capacity building. The Center for Legal and Judicial Studies' commitment to best practices and its commitment to adopting the latest legal and training systems was emphasised to ensure excellence and innovation in this vital sector.
