Motherwell have selected a manager with 'strong authority' in Jens Berthel Askou, according to his boss at Copenhagen.
Dane Askou, 42, will take up the reins at Fir Park next week, just ahead of pre-season training starting, as he replaces Michael Wimmer, who surprisingly quit so he could return to Germany for personal reasons.

Copenhagen boss Jacob Neestrup, who former Norwich City defender Askou was assistant to, says the Lanarkshire club have selected a man with many qualities.
When appointing Askou, Neestrup said: "He is a coach with a big profile and a strong authority.
"He comes with toughness and firm determination to succeed.
"He is a man who I believe can make our defence even better, both individually and collectively.
"We think he can improve the players. He can help us become an even more competitive team, especially at defending set-pieces. Jens will be responsible for that.

Former Millwall star Askou's qualities were also praised by former Gothenburg midfielder Andreas Pyndt, who now plays for IK Sirius in Sweden, and says Askou was respected by players.
He said: "Jens Berthel Askou was an incredibly talented coach from day one.
"He had a very clear strategy about the role of all the players, and how we should play.

"He was also a good motivator, and he encouraged me to fight for the team.

"He used to analyse videos of the players and was very good at pointing out our strengths and where we could do better. He was really determined to get the team and each player to improve.
"When it came to set-pieces, he was very strong on that and about how to defend them.
"He was respected by the players and I am sure he will be a success in the future."

'I beat the horse racing odds and I'm now on track for £18m with my digital publishing firm'

'I would have saved myself a lot of aggro had I not set it up in Manchester all those years ago,' Andrew Trotman says of his regular M62 commutes from Leeds to front one of the biggest social media publishers in the UK. 'But I don't regret it.' After launching a horse racing tips subscription service during his university days to creating some of the biggest sporting parody accounts on X, formerly Twitter, Trotman founded digital publisher Komi Group in 2016. Starting out as Facebook page It's Gone Viral (IGV), Komi Group builds, owns and operates over 40 creator brands on social media. While IGV has 11 million followers, reach across its brands totals more than 150 million and generates over 4 billion monthly views in total. Read More: We sold a hand cream every 36 seconds after appearing on This Morning With 125 staff based out of Manchester — less than a mile from fellow publishing giant LadBible — and set to grow headcount by another 25% this year, Komi Group's stock has risen after several years working on how to best deliver content and serve audiences. 'It was very exciting, the fact that we could go after the big players in the game and, for many years, stay really silent and actually build this business,' says Trotman. 'I love the idea you can be a bit of an underdog that suddenly people have got to take notice.' Growing up in Scotland, Trotman moved to Leeds aged 15 and attended Northumbria University to study business management and marketing. He didn't know anything about horse racing when he first set up his tipster service, but instead looked at ways to beat the odds with overvalued prices. Following a placement working in marketing at a private school, he returned to his final year with a fully functioning, six-figure business. He left Northumbria with a first as the road to entrepreneurship took shape. 'I've never worked for anybody else in my life,' he says. 'I've always taken the mantra that if I'm going to do something it's because I believe it's the right thing to do." Trotman turned to X to build the UK's largest network of football pages despite the running theme of not knowing about the sport he was engaging. 'Social media is a great opportunity because everything's so new and there's so many opportunities to be better than other people,' says Trotman, a former rugby player and now sponsor at Wetherby RC. The account he is most proud of, Zlatan Facts, centred on "Chuck Norris type facts" on the well-travelled footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Read More: The boss who has found 'nature's answer to plastic' The viral account reached its peak when Ibrahimovic was interviewed by Bleacher Report reading out some of the best tweets. Trotman never envisaged reaching the former Swedish star in such a way but understood the power of social media. He has taken diversification into the Komi Group, which now has over 100 different revenue sources and includes talent management and licensing arms. Social media stagnation is clearly not in Trotman's business outlook, with the rise of other in-house brands such as Ultimate, Go Fetch, Back to the Past and The Tradesman. With over 100,000 licensed clips, Trotman says the difference between his business against the more traditional spaces is an ability to leverage its expertise and identify content faster for a competitive edge. Komi uses its Insights platform to see when videos are doing better than average. A case in point is last year's viral video of an Amazon (AMZN) driver helping a mother with health conditions who had fainted after her six-year-old had asked for his help. Footage was captured on a Ring doorbell and the story went global. 'We were one of the first people to view this, we licensed the content and it went all over the news,' says Trotman. Amazon commissioned Komi Group to create a bigger story around the content which the retail giant then published across its social channels with record engagement. 'The way that brands use UGC (user-generated content) is still a massive untapped potential,' adds Trotman. The Manchester-based firm's average employee age is 28 and Trotman believes that putting staff and audience first is key to its success. 'The most important people in our business is where the value exchange happens and that is the creators and editors in our business,' he admits. 'We aren't top-down and we do everything the other way around. 'You'll regularly hear me and Sam [Lenehan, group managing director] say, 'We are the least important people in the business because we're the furthest away from the audience.' Read More: The Briton who invented Alexa is now helping to make AI trustworthy 'It's our job to make sure that we've got the right data, training and resources for those people so that we can serve our audiences.' Komi Group has raised over £10m from private equity firm BGF and, with 40% of its audience based in the US, is seeing 45% growth year-on-year. After revenues of £2m in 2021, Trotman says Komi Group is on track to double revenue to £18m for 2025. 'I'm a very inquisitive person, I love to ask questions, how things work and I hope that that never stops,' adds the 34-year-old. 'Being a young entrepreneur, I think it's very easy to get swept up in trying to pretend you're something that you're not. 'What I've tried to do over the last couple of years is make sure that whatever room that I go into, whether that's with older people, investors or any team member, that I'm just me and I'm the same person.' Your 2025 Dolphins Offensive Stat Leaders

A couple of nights ago, I asked the following question: What's your prediction for who will lead the Miami Dolphins offense in any statistical category? Give us your list of leaders, along with statistical numbers, if you also want to predict those. Below are some of your thoughts and answers- Advertisement SlayerNation1 has all of the usual suspects. Achane 800/400 yards Hill 1400 (Waddle will miss games 1100) Tua 3,000 yards passing, will miss games Smith if He plays 700 yards, many of his short passes/behind LOS passes could go to a RB or Conner. Mcadaniel leads the league with 30 Delays of Game dedstrk316 added some new statistical categories. Injuries: Tua, Chubb, Phillips, at least one oline player. Timeouts due to not being able to get the play call in on time: McDaniel Hissy Fits: Tyreek Being a total badass: Seiler and Grant How the heck did he do that: Achane, Waddle Yarganaught doesn't know who it's going to be but believes that the run game will be a focus this coming season. Oh gosh, I really don't have any idea who will be The Man at any spot. I think the running game will be a focus, and the O-line will improve in that area. But will those carries go to Achane, or will he become an increased passing threat? Perhaps Wright or Gordon II will surpass him in rushing yards and TDs. As mentioned below by JUK, will MMD spurn Hill's ego (in what could be his final season with Miami) in turn for Waddle's? Similarly, will MMD try to replace Jonnu's TE production with one of the other TEs on the roster, will Achane assume many of those shorter yardage passes, or will a WR3 step up as the TE (Pharoah) assumes more of a blocking role again? And that's just on Offense!!! Dolphster sees the status quo remaining. Interesting question. I think Tua, Achane, and Hill will still lead in passing, rushing, and re Smith will stay, play to the same standard but be at least 20% down in counting statsceiving. Even if Jonnu stays, I don't foresee him replicating last year's stats, so I don't see him repeating for most receiving TDs. Not sure who I would guess would take that lead this year though. Maybe Achane for most overall TDs, but not receiving TDs. JUK has Achane leading the team in yards and Waddle besting Hill. Achane will lead the team in total yards from scrimmage, that's the easiest call for me if he's healthy. Waddle will outplay Hill, whether he leads the team in receiving yards depends if McD has learned his lesson or if he keeps trying to feed balls to protect Reek's ego. Bill Moody sees Tua staying healthy. QB (All) - Tua (he stays healthy) RB (Rushing and Scrimmage Yards, TDs) - Achane (Wright didn't look good last year, and Ollie is new) WR (Receiving Yards) - HIll (while I think both Hill and Waddle will have a resurgance, I think Hill gonna be on a warpath) These seem most likely to me. It seems that if there is any consensus, it is that things will continue as they are. Thank you to each of you who took the time to answer our question of the day. More from

Josh Allen Defends Second-Year Bills' Receiver: 'Very Smooth'

Josh Allen Defends Second-Year Bills' Receiver: 'Very Smooth' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Buffalo Bills only got a small taste of what former second-round receiver Keon Coleman can do. The Florida State product caught 29 passes for over 500 yards in his first season in the league. Advertisement While he showed the kind of potential that most teams look for, Bills fans were concerned about his lack of production. The team isn't too worried, though. In an interview noted by Bleacher Report, reigning league MVP Josh Allen discussed Coleman's production and the young receiver's future. "He looks very smooth right now. I feel like he's put on some muscle, he's moving quicker, not just physically but mentally, with our offensive system," Allen said. "I think he's attacked this offseason the way you would want a second-year receiver to attack." Allen has worked with a quality All-Pro receiver before. Stefon Diggs helped him become one of the league's better signal-callers. Advertisement Last year, Allen didn't need a star receiver to become the MVP. And ... Buffalo doesn't have a clear-cut No. 1 receiver. But it is comfortable with its current collection of weapons. If Coleman can develop into a star receiver, that will even help Buffalo's offense. It's easier said than done, though. Every offense needs a guy with Coleman's skill set as a deep-threat wideout. He'll still need to earn more playing time with acquisitions like Joshua Palmer, and Elijah Moore added this offseason. Allen still believes in his young receiver. If Coleman can take a jump in his second season, Allen's numbers will remain among the best in the league - and maybe Keon can be key to another MVP.
