Enzo Maresca gives blunt response to clear Nicolas Jackson red card
Enzo Maresca was tight-lipped after a red card for substitute Nicolas Jackson essentially killed off any chances Chelsea had of rescuing a result against Flamengo. The striker endured a miserable 24th birthday as he was sent off in the Club World Cup just four minutes after coming on. He received a straight red card for a dreadful challenge on Ayrton Lucas as Chelsea lost 3-1 to the Brazilian side, having led 1-0 after the first half. Jackson will miss Chelsea's third and final group game against ES Tunis on Wednesday. His absence will likely open the door for Liam Delap, the Blues' newest signing, for another start after he led the line-up against Flamengo. 'It was a red card. So nothing to say,' Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca told DAZN after the game. 'Congratulations to them, they deserved to win. We tried to do something different, also for next season, for the future, but congratulations to them. I think they deserved it.' He said he had not yet spoken to Jackson after the sending-off. 'It is a bit of bad luck,' Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella said afterwards. 'He [Jackson] tried to put his foot in to kick the ball but he kicked the player's leg. That's it. We now miss him for the next game. 'He is a young player with a lot of quality and maybe he needs to improve this. We are not perfect, it's part of the game.' Chelsea led 1-0 until the 62nd minute in Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field through Pedro Neto 's early strike, before a chaotic six minute-spell in the second half completely turned the game on its head. Substitute Bruno Henrique tapped in an equaliser before turning provider for Danilo three minutes later, while momentum shifted yet further when Jackson was sent off. The Senegal international replaced Delap as Maresca hunted another goal, but instead received a straight red card for stamping on Ayrton Lucas' foot and shin. Chelsea never looked likely to overturn the deficit after that and Flamengo's 20-year-old Wallace Yan, a late substitute, cemented a brilliant victory for Filipe Luis' side with his first goal for the side, inside the final ten minutes. 'Completely changed the game,' Maresca said of that six-minute spell. 'Unfortunately we conceded two goals in a short moment, then the red card, then it's very complicated to come back in the game. We tried.' Jackson has lost his cool in games before, notably receiving a straight red against Newcastle just last month as Chelsea fought for Champions League places. The Blues endured 55 minutes with a man down in that game and lost 2-0.

The six-minute implosion which led Chelsea to defeat at Club World Cup
Nicolas Jackson was sent off as Chelsea crashed to a 3-1 loss to Flamengo at the Club World Cup. Pedro Neto fired the Blues ahead early on but Enzo Maresca's side imploded in the second half in Philadelphia. The Blues conceded twice and saw Jackson dismissed for a horror tackle in the space of just six minutes after the break. Their woes were compounded when Wallace Yan wrapped up the scoring late on, adding to earlier goals from fellow substitute Bruno Henrique and veteran Danilo. The result – played out in front of a crowd of 54,019 at Lincoln Financial Field – left Chelsea with a win and a loss from their two outings in Group D having earlier looked set to take a giant stride towards the last 16. It made for a disappointing full debut for new striker Liam Delap, who had been brought into the side for Jackson, but a notable scalp for Flamengo manager Filipe Luis, formerly of the London club. The game got off to lively and feisty start yet while the Brazilians looked more at ease in the heat – 27C at kick-off – they struggled to carve out clear-cut openings. Former Chelsea midfielder Jorginho did fire over in the early stages but Robert Sanchez was not troubled in goal. Despite a lack of possession and a subdued performance from Cole Palmer out wide, Chelsea offered a threat on the counter-attack. Delap went close to opening the scoring when he burst clear and forced Agustin Rossi to palm over. Chelsea grabbed the lead when Neto benefited from a fortunate ricochet after being struck by an attempted clearance from Wesley. The Portuguese broke clear from halfway and calmly tucked away his second goal of the tournament from the edge of the box. Neto almost created another for Delap but his pull-back was cut out by Wesley and Chelsea had a penalty appeal rejected after Enzo Fernandez went down in the area. Levi Colwill headed clear off the line after a Flamengo free-kick was slung into the area but it was not until the second period the Brazilians began to cause serious problems. Gerson should have equalised when he cut back inside Colwill to create an opportunity but his mishit shot was intercepted by Trevoh Chalobah. It rebounded to Gonzalo Plata but he somehow poked wide. Chelsea were inches away from a second when Leo Pereira, under pressure from Delap, clipped the ball narrowly past his own post but the Blues had little control. They had another escape when Sanchez tipped over from Plata. The equaliser came just after the hour when Plata headed back across goal and Henrique raced in to pounce at the back post. Chelsea were reeling and were stung again just moments later as Henrique turned provider to head back a corner for Danilo to volley in. Chelsea's capitulation continued as Jackson, just minutes after coming off the bench, was given his marching orders for a reckless challenge in which he caught Ayrton Lucas on the shin with force. Yan rubbed salt in the wounds seven minutes from time when he readjusted and tucked home after getting in the way of a shot from team-mate Plata.

EXCLUSIVE Living Nostradamus predicts Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick's relationship will be over within TWO YEARS
A psychic who has successfully predicted numerous world events has made a serious projection about the future of Bill Belichick 's relationship with Jordon Hudson - and their alleged engagement. Belichick, 73, has been dating Hudson, 24, since 2023, but their relationship has made headlines in recent months - especially after she steamrolled his interview on CBS Sunday Morning in April. She caused shockwaves throughout America after she pushed back on a question that journalist Tony Dokoupil had asked the former New England Patriot's coach while they were talking about his new book. Dokoupil asked him how the two met, to which Hudson sharply replied, 'We're not talking about that.' Adding to the drama, a shocking report from the New York Times last month claimed that Hudson had told 'at least one person' that she is engaged to be married to Belichick. Their relationship seems to be going strong - for now, at least - as psychic Athos Salomé, 38, from Brazil, issued a stark warning for the pair. Salomé, who is often referred to as the 'Living Nostradamus,' told the Daily Mail that he believes their romance won't make it past 2027. He is called the 'Living Nostradamus' due to his numerous accurate predictions - including his forecasting of the coronavirus pandemic, Queen Elizabeth II's death and the Microsoft global outage. Salomé told the Daily Mail exclusively that he foresees their relationship 'consisting of three distinct phases, peaking in 2026, and gradually dissolving by 2027.' 'There will be no explosive breakup. The bond will quietly fade away, like a spiritual contract that has run its course,' the clairvoyant claimed. He also said he doesn't see the two of them ever making it down the aisle, noting that he predicts a 'formal marriage' will not occur. They will not have children together, either, per the psychic. Salomé said he believes what 'unites' the couple together right now is a 'vibrational pact,' adding, 'Jordon seeks learning and projection; Belichick, emotional rejuvenation.' But what about that 'engagement' ring? 'There is a symbolic commitment between them, perhaps materialized by a ring, but without any intention of public consecration,' Salomé claimed. 'It is an energetic exchange, not a traditional union.' 'They are temporary karmic companions,' he claimed. 'They are together to learn, not to stay. It is a reflection, not a fusion. Functional, but not spiritual.' However, as of right now, it looks like Hudson is still scouting out some potential wedding locales. She's following multiple wedding-related Instagram accounts from her public-facing page, @jordon. According to screenshots obtained by Hudson is following the Instagram account for The Breakers Hotel weddings in Palm Beach, Florida, as well as Boston Weddings by Boston Magazine, a page that shares the 'ultimate guide to New England celebrations.' The Breakers Hotel, a luxury resort near Mar-a-Lago that can cost thousands of dollars per night during peak snowbird season, offers a venue that can fit up to 500 people. The hotel's Instagram account for weddings showcases the various events that they throw, sharing pictures of brides' dresses, catering, and decorations. It's a luxe getaway that hosted the 2015 wedding of Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello. The hotspot has multiple locations on its property where you can tie the knot, too, including its Ocean Lawn overlooking the Atlantic, or its 6,100 square foot Mediterranean Ballroom, which was modeled after the 'loggias of Italian villas.' However, you can't get married there without spending a pretty penny. Per Party Slate, a minimum wedding spend at The Breakers is $50,000. Vergara's wedding at the locale reportedly cost $4 million. It's unclear if this is the venue that Hudson and Belichick will choose for their alleged upcoming nuptials, but it certainly seems like the bride-to-be is looking into it - or at least taking some inspiration from the opulent hotel. Belichick owns a condo in Jupiter, Florida, per People - only a mere few miles away from the Palm Beach hotel. Speculation about the couple's relationship has been rife for months, ever since Daily Mail exclusively photographed Hudson at a New Orleans dinner during Super Bowl week with a rock on her left finger. The coach also notably changed his boat's name from 'VIII Rings' to 'I + VIII Rings.' Belichick has won eight Super Bowls as a defensive coordinator and head coach in New York and New England, respectively).
