Prince William's relationship with his brother Prince Harry is believed to be irreparable after a tumultuous five years. Harry's departure from the UK and Royal duties in 2020 was already viewed as a betrayal by some within the Palace.
However, instead of maintaining a low profile, the Duke of Sussex, with the support of his wife Meghan Markle, has criticised the institution and his family, while also expressing a desire for reconciliation. This contradictory stance has reportedly left William feeling indifferent, and he is said to be the main obstacle to Harry mending ties with their father, King Charles.
A new point of contention arose this year when it was revealed that Harry and Meghan were still using their HRH titles, despite assuring the late Queen Elizabeth they would not. While Charles has been hesitant to formally strip the couple of their titles, William reportedly has no such reservations about doing so when he ascends the throne.

This stance is expected to apply to Harry and Meghan's children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, who have been raised in the US and are even reported to have American accents.
Earlier this month, there were suggestions that Harry wished to retain the HRH titles for Archie and Lilibet, hinting at a future role for them within the Royal family. However, a friend of William's reportedly dismissed this idea as "beyond parody", reports the Scottish Daily Express.
Speaking to the Daily Beast, they said: "William obviously isn't going to hire Archie and Lilibet. This is just trolling on the part of Harry and Meghan."
An HRH is not a title but a 'style' used to address someone. It doesn't imply that the individual referred to holds an official rank.
Another friend of William's explained that it's a relatively straightforward process to revoke the HRH titles: "An HRH is bestowed by letters patent-which is essentially a fancy way of saying it is a legally binding Royal decree-and by precedent an HRH can be taken away by Royal decree also.
"Consider Diana and Fergie. The HRHs weren't removed 'because they got divorced,' the rules were subtly altered to remove HRHs from Royal exes. There is a distinction.
"They have politely requested the Sussexes to cease using the style, to no avail, so I suspect William will simply issue new letters patent to formally strip the entire family's right to use HRH when he ascends the throne."
The source suggests William will frame this action as "part of a broader tidying up exercise to reduce the number of HRHs in circulation".
They further added: "He could, for instance, state that only working royals are entitled to use HRH, which seems reasonable if you're aiming to modernise, or specify that only children of the monarch are HRH, not the grandchildren, which would have the added benefit of clarifying things for their own children's families in the future."

Carole Middleton and King Charles share sweet moment as fans spot same thing

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Royal Ascot has seen the turnout of the Royal family and their confidantes at the premiere Berkshire racing event, reveling in both the equestrian events and this pinnacle occasion on the social calendar. Despite key figures consistently partaking in Ascot's pomp since its commencement earlier in the week, Carole Middleton – mum to Princess Kate – was spotted indulging in the excitement on Wednesday. This came as a pleasant surprise especially after her daughter, Kate, decided against attending at the eleventh hour. While Kate's absence was noted, her mother, Carole, lost no time in enjoying the company of the royals, sharing laughs with King Charles and embracing her son-in-law, Prince William. It's not unusual for Carole and the extended Middleton family to be seen at significant Royal functions – think King Charles' coronation in 2023 – however, their presence in relaxed settings, visibly having a good time, is somewhat of a novelty. The jovial interaction between Charles and Carole caught the attention of Royal enthusiasts, particularly within the Royal suite where their camaraderie was unmistakable, sparking an array of heartwarming comments regarding their evident close-knit rapport, reports the Mirror. A fan expressed delight on X stating: "It's lovely to see them together," while another remarked fondly: "Love that they have a lovely warm relationship." A different Royal spectator chimed in with: "So nice to see. Good that they all get along so well." Another individual commented: "I love that when they're together, they're just in-laws. He's the King, but he's also her daughter's father-in-law and they share grandkids." Throughout the day, Prince William was also observed embracing his mother-in-law, suggesting a strong kinship between them, with William having become as integral to the Middleton family as Kate has to the Royal Family. Even though her daughter Kate dropped out of Royal Ascot, Carole Middleton still attended the event on its second day without her presence announced less than two hours before she was expected to join Prince William in the Royal procession. Given that Kate's name was already included in the programme for day two and had been circulated by Royal Ascot's social media channels, her sudden withdrawal raised eyebrows among the public. The Palace, nevertheless, promptly addressed the confusion about Kate's absence, stating it was down to a "miscommunication". A representative from Kensington Palace explained: "We notified Ascot that Her Royal Highness would not be attending. Unfortunately an inaccurate version of the carriage list was issued in error after that notification. The correct list was then circulated." It seems that the Prince and Princess of Wales have no plans to make further appearances during the festival. It is believed that Kate's absence is due to her striving to strike the right balance as she gradually resumes public-facing engagements, just months after announcing her cancer was in remission.

Lizzo reveals the secret to her major weight loss

Lizzo has finally revealed the secrets behind her major weight loss journey after undergoing an entire lifestyle change in the last few years. The American pop singer and rapper, 37, rose to international fame during the late 2010s with body positive anthems like Juice and Good As Hell. Born Melissa Jefferson, Lizzo proudly wore her 'Big Grrrrl' status on her sleeve and posed nude on the front cover of her 2019 album Cuz I Love You. In the 2020s, Lizzo began to lose weight and, as of January 2025, had reached a weight she hadn't been since 2014 – she dropped 10.5 off her BMI score. Now she's revealed how she managed to shave 16% off her body fat total, admitting to trialling a popular method of weight loss that's currently all the rage. Speaking to the Just Trish podcast, she said: 'I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full.' Ozempic, which contains the diabetes management drug semaglutide, has become popular among both celebrities and civilians for helping to suppress their appetites, control blood sugar levels, and lose weight. However, the 2 Be Loved singer insisted that while she tried Ozempic at first, she realised she couldn't rely on it and tried to mimic its effects with her own willpower. 'But if you can just [control your diet] on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing,' she added, also revealing that stopping her vegan diet also helped. 'What [caused weight loss] for me was not being vegan. Because when I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats. I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full.' She continued on to say that, on some days, she was consuming anywhere between 3,000 and 5,000 calories per day in order to avoid feeling hungry. 'When I started actually eating whole foods and eating, like, beef and chicken and fish, I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that wasn't actually filling me up.' Despite dropping off Ozempic pretty quickly, Lizzo maintains that using it – and similar branded drugs like Mounjaro – isn't 'cheating' and that people criticising those who do are 'fatphobic'. More Trending She said on Instagram: 'Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!' Lizzo had said in an earlier video, 'I am actually on an intentional weight loss journey right at the end of my weight loss journey, I'm not going to be considered thin by any means. 'I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI, and little bros on the internet are still going to call me 'big backed.' But I will be happy,' she said. The video then cut to her today, where she could be seen grinning ear to ear as she declared: 'And I am happy'. Got a story?
