Watch the scary moment Katy Perry gets ambushed, startled by rogue fan on stage
The one that got away.
Katy Perry was ambushed by a rogue fan who found his way onto the stage during her 'Lifetimes' tour this week.
The scary incident occurred on Monday night as the 40-year-old singer was performing her hit song 'Hot N Cold' during a concert in Sydney, Australia.
Perry appeared visibly shaken during the startling encounter, and she quickly grabbed her guitar and spun away from the stage crasher immediately after he put his arm around her shoulders.
'Well, there's never going to be another show like it, so just enjoy it, Sydney,' Perry said into the microphone as the dancing fan was grabbed by security, per a video of the incident shared to X.
'What the hell is going on?!' the 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' singer then shouted as the interloper was finally escorted off the stage.
Although Perry kept her cool during the incident and continued her performance without a hitch, fans of the pop star rushed to social media to express their shock regarding the 'very dangerous' incident.
'A very dangerous moment,' one person tweeted. 'Security to be fired, especially the one who was supposed to guard the entrance to the stage. Katy's bodyguard was the first. This could have ended really badly!'
'Why did he think that would be a good idea to assault an artist like that?' commented another fan. 'Katy Perry took it in a professional way, thank god she is ok.'
'Katy handled that like a pro – chaos on stage, and she still kept it cool,' added a third. 'Iconic energy. Now that's how you own the moment.'
However, other viewers claimed that the incident was 'staged.'
'Staged,' one skeptical person tweeted. 'So she can go viral.'
'Honestly, this looks staged,' added a second person. 'And I hope it is because if it's real, that's seriously worrying.'
The Post has reached out to Perry's rep for comment.
Meanwhile, that wouldn't be the first time that the 'Firework' hitmaker suffered a startling mishap mid-concert.
On May 17, during a show in Las Vegas, Perry's bejeweled bra almost popped completely off during her performance of 'Part of Me.'
'Oh s–t,' Perry said into the microphone during the wardrobe malfunction, 'my bra is gonna come off.'
'Put my bra back on, Patrick,' she joked after calling over one of her assistants. 'Sorry, guys, you didn't pay that much.'
Shortly before her wardrobe malfunction, the 'I Kissed a Girl' songstress 'scolded' a fan for messaging her husband, Orlando Bloom.
'I know why you're here,' she began. 'Listen, if you keep DM-ing my man… you've been doing it for months, ever since the residency. You didn't come to see me play.'
'If you keep on DM-ing my man, I'm gonna have you removed,' Perry continued. 'Seriously, get your own life. I'm his wife. I don't want it. I'm his.'
'He don't want you, Kyle. I'm his wife,' she added. 'I'm his, he's mine… stay the f–k away!'
It was later revealed that Perry's shocking remarks were scripted and part of the transition into her next song, the 2024 single 'I'm His, He's Mine.'

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have lunch in Florida. Could an Aerosmith reunion be next?
It was just another sunny day on Florida's west coast — until two rock legends showed up for lunch. Singer Steven Tyler, 77, and guitarist Joe Perry, 74, of Aerosmith were spotted grabbing a bite and posing for a photo together at Morton's Gourmet Market, a longtime specialty food store in Sarasota. The market opened in 1969 — just a year before Aerosmith launched the career that would eventually land the band in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. In the photo shared by Morton's on social media, Tyler — wearing a sheer black shirt, patterned pants, layered necklaces, and holding a Morton's bag — stands smiling next to two employees in branded black shirts. To their right is Perry, in a burgundy button-down shirt, ripped jeans, beaded jewelry, and his signature wild hair, completing a snapshot that must have delighted fans and likely surprised a few unsuspecting shoppers. Why did Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith visit Morton's in Florida? A manager for Morton's — which opened more than half a century ago when Ted Morton purchased Marable's Market — could not be immediately reached for comment. However, the gourmet grocery store revealed on social media that the rock stars, once known as the 'Toxic Twins,' dropped in for a bite to eat. 'Never a dull moment at the market!' Morton's posted on Thursday, June 19. 'Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith dropped by for lunch. Awesome guys!' Of course, Sarasota has deep ties to Aerosmith, with Perry owning a home on Longboat Key. But appearances by the guitar hero remain rare — especially ones where he's accompanied by his longtime lead singer and songwriting partner, a duo responsible for such classic rock anthems as the Aerosmith hits 'Walk This Way,' 'Same Old Song and Dance,' and 'Back in the Saddle.' Could an Aerosmith reunion be happening? Aerosmith retired from touring last year after Tyler suffered a vocal cord injury. But Perry is preparing to get back on stage with his namesake group — and some familiar faces are joining him. The Joe Perry Project's eight-date run kicks off Aug. 13 at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event Center and features fellow Aerosmith members Brad Whitford and Buck Johnson, along with Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes and Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz of Stone Temple Pilots. Could Tyler make a surprise appearance? The Sarasota sighting certainly fuels the speculation. Perry's publicist did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

First-ever pornstar to be crowned Coney Island Queen Mermaid at parade
This year's Coney Island Mermaid Parade is going to be hot and steamy — and not just because of the sweltering temperatures. The annual fishy fete has announced they are crowning a porn star as this year's Queen Mermaid — which is a first for the quirky and beloved Brooklyn event in its nearly 50-year history. Blue movie actress Queenie — whose career accomplishments include an Adult Video News Award for Best Orgy — says she couldn't be happier to be the first of her profession to be leading the parade. Advertisement 7 Queenie will be the first pornstar to serve as the Coney Island Mermaid Queen. Michael Nagle 'I'm honored to be the first. Obviously, it's so important to have representation of sex workers. I know that porn stars are the most public of that, but I'm proud to be able to represent the pornstar/sex worker girly community in such a iconic and storied New York institution,' Queenie told The Post Thursday at her Bed-Stuy home. Queenie, who shed her given name years ago, was asked to be this year's Mermaid Queen last week, and will serve beside this year's King Neptune, Eugene Hütz, who is the frontman of the Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello. Advertisement The adult film actress accepted the honor without any hesitation, noting the 'really iconic list of legends' who preceded her, which includes Queens Queen Latifah and Carol Razdiwill, and even the de Blasio kids. She'll storm the parade float Saturday in an elaborate crown and dress made by friends, with vibes she described as: 'shipwrecked seawench mermaid gladiatrix princess.' It wasn't until The Post told her she would be the first ever mattress actress to serve as the festivities' royalty that Queenie realized her presence would signify much more than fun. 7 Queenie won the award for Best New Starlet and Best Music in the same year. Michael Nagle Advertisement 'That's what New York is all about: the people who are misfits and come from wherever the f–k they're from all over the world, and they come here because they can be weird here and find other weird people and be creative and have this unbridled sense of curiosity and play. I feel like the Mermaid Parade really embodies that,' she said. Despite the parade's long history of being a progressive and open place, Queenie felt unsuprised that it took 43 years for a pornstar to serve as the festival's monarch. 'It's a really stigmatized industry and really insular and really kept apart from other industries,' she explained. 'But I also think it's really cool that I'm the first at this time now where a lot of our rights are coming under attack. Especially towards the adult community, it's become such a target of like freedom of expression and speech. So many states now are cracking down on porn,' she continued, referencing the dozens of states that have blocked X-rated sites like Pornhub in recent months. Advertisement 7 Queenie's career in the adult film industry 'stems from the curiosity,' she said. Michael Nagle 7 Her costume for the parade will give off 'shipwrecked seawench mermaid gladiatrix princess' vibes. Michael Nagle Queenie made her foray into the adult film industry back in 2022 after enjoying a decade in the New York City underground music scene as a club kid and part of her band 'Sateen.' 'I always see everything that I do as an extension of my creative self and doing adult films was something I was curious about,' Queenie said, adding that she was invested in 1980s-era Italian erotica films like that of Giovanni 'Tinto' Brass, and had dreams of becoming a modern day 'Tinto Brass girl.' 'It all stems from the curiosity and if I'm afraid of doing something, it's like a challenge to myself to do it and to explore it. So in that way, I consider it to be part of my artistic self. It's a performance art. And it's also a job.' Since then, Queenie has racked up numerous awards in the porn industry and for her music. 7 'Obviously, it's so important to have representation of sex workers,' said Queenie. Michael Nagle In 2024, she was named Best New Starlet and Best Music by the XMAs Awards and Adult Video News Awards, respectively. Advertisement This year, she defended her Best Music crown, while also racking up the title for Best Orgy. Plus, her experience in the adult film industry is giving her plenty of inspiration for her continuing music career — her newest single, 'Downfalling,' slated to be released next week, details the hate and shame lobbed in her direction, including from the very same people who view her videos. 'It's a drum and bass track with lots of fun harmonies and stuff about being a porn star. It's about getting weird DMs and wanting to push men down stairs,' she teased. The new song will mark a turn from Queenie's previous disco-house sound to fall under the pop umbrella and live in the same playlists that feature fellow former club kid Charli XCX, she said. Advertisement 7 Queenie will serve as parade royalty alongside Eugene Hütz, the frontman of the Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello. Michael Nagle Her legendary history in the club scene is exactly why the parade organizers picked her for the royal gig. Her sex work was more of a plus. 'She's a very well-known underground act as far as first band Sateen — so filled with color,' Adam Rinn, Coney Island USA's new Artistic Director, told The Post. 'At the end of the day, being sex worker positive — we as an organization, we have no problem with that. We have absolutely no regrets. We're very excited about it.' Advertisement 7 Thousands are drawn to the annual Mermaid Parade every year. Michael Nagle for NY Post Queenie appeared unworried about potential naysayers who might wag their fingers at her trailblazing appearance, imploring them instead to 'be a bit more open-minded and try to embrace everyone.' 'This is a parade where freedom is the main centerpiece of why everyone is there. I have done my research and I know that there's a lot of nudity already there. So I feel like if you're bringing your kids to the Mermaid parade, you already know that,' Queenie said. 'Sex workers are people and artists and plumbers and so many things. It's a job that a lot of people have for part of their lives, and sometimes it's a whole career. I would also ask them to open their mind a little bit and have a little bit more compassion.'

Matthew Perry's Ketamine Death: Second Doctor Agrees to Plead Guilty
The 'lead' doctor charged in connection with Matthew Perry's 2023 ketamine overdose death has accepted a plea deal, prosecutors announced Monday. Dr. Salvador Plasencia has agreed to plead guilty to four counts of distribution of ketamine, a spokesperson with the Central District of California said. The charges carry a statutory maximum sentence of 40 years in federal prison. More from Rolling Stone 'Will Sean Combs Testify?' and Other Burning Questions We Still Have Judge Dismisses Sean Combs Juror Over Inconsistent Statements Sean Combs Trial: Possible Juror Dismissal and Mogul's 'Threatening' Voice Notes Plasencia, 43, is expected to appear in court in the coming weeks to formally enter his guilty plea. He was arrested last August alongside Jasveen Sangha, the woman described by prosecutors as the 'Ketamine Queen' of North Hollywood. When federal officials first unsealed their 18-count indictment last year, they identified Plasencia and Sangha as the 'lead defendants' in the case. They said three other defendants already had agreed to deals in exchange for their cooperation. The other three were identified as Perry's live-in assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, Dr. Mark Chavez (another physician), and Erik Fleming, a local man who allegedly acted as a go-between for Sangha in ketamine sales to Perry. '[Plasencia] essentially acted as a street-corner drug dealer peddling a dangerous substance to somebody he knew was addicted,' Assistant U.S. Attorney Ian Yanniello said last year at Plasencia's arraignment in downtown Los Angeles. 'He commented to another patient that the victim was spiraling out of control, yet he still offered to sell [Perry] more ketamine.' In his plea deal agreement signed June 13, Plasencia admitted he once injected Perry with ketamine while the actor was in the backseat of a car parked outside the Long Beach Aquarium in Long Beach, California. He also admitted he visited Perry's house on Oct. 12, 2023, administered ketamine, and then watched as Perry's 'blood pressure spiked,' causing the actor to 'freeze up.' 'Not withstanding victim M.P.'s reaction, defendant left additional vials of ketamine with defendant Iwamasa, knowing that defendant Iwamasa would inject the ketamine into victim M.P.,' the plea agreement stated. Plasencia pleaded not guilty at his arraignment last year and was released on bond. His lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday. Sangha, 42, was remanded into custody and is awaiting a trial set to begin in August. Prosecutors argued last August that she was a flight risk due to her British citizenship and because she allegedly returned to selling ketamine after both Perry's death and the death of another man in 2019 that purportedly was linked to ketamine she supplied. Perry, an actor best-known for playing Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom Friends, died on Oct. 28, 2023, at the age of 54 from the acute effects of ketamine, his autopsy determined. He was found face down in a hot tub at his home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. Officials said Perry 'became addicted' to intravenous ketamine while seeking treatment for depression and anxiety at a local clinic in fall 2023. They said Perry turned to the four suppliers charged in the case when the clinic refused to increase his dosage. According to prosecutors, Plasencia and Chavez distributed about 20 vials of liquid ketamine to Perry in exchange for $55,000 cash during the last few weeks of the actor's life. The doctors charged Perry $2,000 for a single vial that cost Chavez approximately $12, officials said. 'I wonder how much this moron will pay?…[Let's] find out,' Plasencia allegedly texted Chavez on Sept. 30, 2023, according to the indictment. Later that day, Plasencia injected Perry with ketamine at the actor's house and left vials behind for Iwamasa to administer to Perry even though the assistant had no medical training, the filing stated. After the meeting, Plasencia allegedly texted Chavez that the interaction was 'like a bad movie.' Chavez is due to be sentenced on Sept. 17. Fleming has his sentencing scheduled for Nov. 12, while Iwamasa has his sentencing set for Nov. 19.
