Post Malone Brings Out NBA Legend Allen Iverson for ‘White Iverson' Performance in Philadelphia
At the turn of the century, it was Allen Iverson who served as the bridge between hip-hop and basketball while also boasting a massive amount of pop culture influence. Part of the influence came after he retired, when the Philadelphia 76ers icon inspired Post Malone's breakout hit 'White Iverson' in 2015.
A decade later, Posty returned the favor and invited Iverson to join him on stage Saturday night (May 24) while performing a countrified version of 'White Iverson' in Philly. Malone invaded Citizens Bank Park over the weekend as part of his The Big Ass Stadium Tour with Jelly Roll, and gave the Philly faithful a fun surprise when Iverson hit the stage with Posty.

'ALLEN IVERSON LADIES & GENTLEMEN!!!,' Post captioned footage from the performance on Instagram, while Iverson wrote, 'Being a inspiration is golden! Shout out to @postmalone and shout out to Philadelphia! Ain't nothing like Philly love!'
Fans agreed it was a beautiful sight to see Iverson get his flowers while he can still smell them from his second home.
'Gave us some of the best years Philly has ever seen,' one fan wrote. Another added, 'I'm so glad you're getting your flowers while you're still here. The media always tried to portray you as a bad guy but we the people has and will always the love you!'
Of course, it's not the first time A.I. and Post Malone have linked up, as the superstar duo initially met back in 2017. 'I met the legend last night and there'd be no 'White Iverson' without him,' Malone told Billboard at the time. 'I'm still tripping at how sick it was, and as A.I. says, 'The culture has no boundaries.''
'White Iverson' arrived in 2015 and peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track is now certified Diamond — giving Post eight Diamond plaques — by the RIAA.
As for Iverson, The Answer spent 12 seasons with the 76ers after being drafted out of Georgetown in 1996. He led the Sixers to the NBA Finals in 2001, the same season he won his first MVP trophy.
The Big Ass Stadium Tour remains in Pennsylvania this week with shows slated for Hershey and Pittsburgh before heading to Massachusetts.

'I'm going to protect my teammates.' Sophie Cunningham gains nearly a million followers after ejection
LAS VEGAS – Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham will always stick up for her teammates. Even if that includes being part of a late-game melee. Cunningham was ejected from the Fever's game Tuesday after committing a flagrant 2 foul on Sun guard Jacy Sheldon, pulling her down by the head as she was going up for a layup. Sheldon and fellow Sun guard Lindsay Allen immediately reacted, rushing Cunningham and pushing her back into the fans sitting on the baseline. Cunningham grabbed Sheldon's hair as their other teammates and officials ran in, working to separate them. It turned into what the officials and league eventually ruled a fight — Cunningham was ejected because of the foul on Sheldon, while Sheldon and Allen were both giving technical fouls for fighting and ejected. It was the second scrum of the night, with the first coming midway through the third quarter. Sheldon poked Fever star Caitlin Clark in the eye, and Clark immediately recoiled and reacted, turning to Sheldon as the two shoved each other. Sun center Tina Charles got in between the two, but Sun guard Marina Mabrey also came running into the scrum, puffing out her chest and knocking Clark to the ground.
