Jaipur: Anvi Rathore, Shreyansh Chaudhary and Jaywardhan Singh emerged champions in their respective categories on the third day of the RD Baheti Charitable Trust Jaipur District Open Badminton Championship at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium here on Wednesday.

Anvi Rathore won in women's singles, Shreyansh Chaudhary triumphed in the U-15 boys singles, while Jaywardhan Singh reigned supreme in the U-17 boys singles.
In the women's singles summit clash played in the morning session, there was a tough fight between Anvi Rathore and Utsava Pilot that lasted for about 55 minutes. Anvi staged a remarkable comeback to edge past Utsava 15-21, 21-15, 21-8 to clinch the crown.
Similarly, the U-15 boys singles final also witnessed a gruelling three-game battle.
Shreyansh Chaudhary lost the opening game but rallied back strongly to down Sunny Jangid 16-21, 21-11, 21-8.
Jaywardhan Singh did not have to stretch much as he defeated Devashish Prajapati in straight games -- 21-14, 21-19 -- to pocket the U-17 boys crown.
Wednesday's chief guest Pradeep Baheti of RD Baheti Trust and Jaipur District Badminton Association secretary Manoj Dasot welcomed all the players who reached the finals.
These players were Sunny Jangid, Shreyansh Chaudhary, Jaywardhan Singh, Devashish Prajapati, Amber Chandravanshi, Anvi Rathore, Utsava Pilot, Padmaja Singh, Garima Yadav and Apeksha Chaudhary.
According to organizing secretary Atul Gupta, doubles matches of 15, 17 age group and senior were played today and the players reached the semi-finals after playing quarter finals. Tomorrow the semi-finals and finals of all doubles will be played.
Apart from these, the men's singles, U-15 girls' singles and U-17 girls' singles finals will be played on Thursday. The session will start at 9 am. Under-11 and U-13 singles will also be played on Thursday.

Jaipur: Padmaja Singh claimed a quadruple while Rakshit Singh Mehra and Garima Yadav grabbed a triple crown each as the eight-day long RD Baheti Charitable Trust Jaipur District Open Badminton Championship concluded at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium here on Monday. On the last day, five finals were played out of which Rakshit emerged victorious in three. In the U-11 boys singles, Rakshit outclassed Naitik Bansal 21-9, 21-14. Stamping his authority in the higher age group too, nine-year-old Rakshit trounced Lakshyaraj Singh Nathawat 21-10, 21-10 in the U-13 boys singles. The pair of Rakshit and Lakshyaraj downed Anees Chahar and Pranav Mulchandani 21-12, 21-19 to clinch the U-13 boys doubles title. Jaipur: Garima Yadav bagged a double crown on the penultimate day of the RD Baheti Charitable Trust Jaipur District Open Badminton Championship at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium here on Sunday. Dominating the U-19 category, Garima won both the singles as well as doubles titles. Padmaja Singh also continued her fine performance and bagged the U-13 girls singles title. In a thrilling U-19 girls singles title clash that lasted for 48 minutes, Garima rallied back splendidly to edge past Nidhi in three tough games 18-21, 21-18, 23-21. Later in the day, Garima teamed up with her partner Advika Agarwal to defeat the pair of Navya Arora and Pratishtha 21-16, 21-18 in the U-19 doubles final. Padmaja did not have to stretch much in bagging the U-13 girls singles title, by ousting Riddhi Batra 21-14, 21-15 in the final. In the U-11 boys singles semi-finals, Rakshit Singh Mehra thrashed Lakshit Rewar 21-4, 21-3, while Naitik Bansal got the better of Garvit Dahiya 21-9, 21-12 to enter the final.
