LEGENDARY referee Russ Bray admits the pressure left Luke Littler and Luke Humphries looking like 'rabbits in headlights' at the World Cup.
Top seeds England were dumped out of the last 16 after losing 8-4 to Germany in Frankfurt.

World No.1 Humphries and world champion Littler were favourites to win the major but fell at the first hurdle.
Legendary referee Bray believes the weight of expectation left the pair frozen.
He said: 'With the two Lukes they looked like rabbits in headlights. They just couldn't get their game going at all.
'They were under a lot of pressure I think because of the hype, and you know world number one and two.

'People were saying they were going to win and nobody will touch them. I just thought that caught up with them a little bit.'
'The Voice of Darts' questioned how well the duo gelled as a team.
He added: 'And they are both very much individual players. I know dart players are.
'It's very much different being an individual and going out on your own than it is playing as a team. You've got a different mindset.'

Bray also reckons the lethal Lukes rhythm was disrupted by the stop-start nature of doubles play.
He explained: 'The two Lukes are also very much rhythm players. They're out of rhythm because they are not following the next player.

'They throw their three darts, and they have to wait for another six before they get back on again. There are lots of things involved.'
Northern Ireland won the tournament for the first time with an epic victory over Wales in a final-leg decider.
While others tipped the Three Lions for the title, Bray saw it differently
He revealed: 'If I'm being honest, I didn't expect the Irish boys to win it [Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney] — but I also didn't expect England to either.
'I thought Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton would be the ones to win it — alongside Scotland, would you believe, who got absolutely blasted out of sight.'
Gerwyn Price was quick to claim that England's failure was down to Littler and Humphries not playing as a team.
He said: 'I think you need a connection. I think you need to have that camaraderie off the stage.
'When all the teams first turned up on the first day, the only two players who didn't turn up together, didn't sit together, didn't play as a team.
'I'm not saying who they are. But they didn't win their first game. But you need to turn up together. You need to be as a team.
"You practice together, you sit together, it's a team ethic. It didn't show with England and it showed on the board.
'They are great players individually. But you need to be a team.
'I wanted them to do well but they didn't. I'm not just saying that, but they were rubbish!'
Meanwhile two-time world champion Dennis Priestley, 74, slammed world the pair for "letting their country down" after the early exit.

Moments later, ITV footage showed one poor helpless soul who tried to get him to calm down coming just inches from being kicked in the head. There were fears the worrying scenes could lead to Doyle being disqualified as he was unable to weigh in without his saddle - which was still strapped to Lazzat's back. But fortunately there was a happy ending for the Wathnan-owned horse, who is now back home in Reynier's French yard and doing well. Speaking to Sky Sports Racing, the trainer admitted Lazzat's meltdown was all his fault. It was Reynier who stood in front of the sprinter with the winner's cloth - and it was like waving a red rag to a bull. He said: "The horse is all good, nice and settled and he doesn't even seem tired. He's ready for more. "Me and James were laughing about it. It's my fault with the winning sheet. I came too close. I should've gone round the side. "But we were so happy and it was a freak (accident). "If I could have jumped on the horse with James I would have done! "But it was an amazing moment to share with all my friends on the day." Lazzat was made 5-2 favourite for the July Cup on the back of his 6f win at Ascot. But Reynier confirmed his next start will not be until August when he aims to defend his Maurice de Gheest crown in Deauville. He said: "This race will suit him well once again and obviously he will be the favourite. "On the European racing programme - he doesn'y mind the ground so the plan would be to stick with Group 1 sprinting races and Haydock and Ascot could be the next targets for him. "But we are focused on August 10 for Deauville and the Maurice de Gheest. "He is young and they often get better with age. "Maybe the best is yet to come." Ross has muscular dystrophy - a disease which causes muscles in the body to weaken over time - but he thinks that was an 'advantage' in his career. He said: 'Having muscular dystrophy was somewhat of an advantage for me as it meant I spent a lot more time on a computer when I was younger, as I couldn't go out and play sports like other kids.' His dreams of becoming a 'pro Fortnite player' were dashed when he realised he 'wasn't good enough' to match up to some of the best players in the world. However, Ross knew that he could put his talents to good use. At the age of 17, while still living with his parents Lesley and Craig, he decided to manage other players. His career quickly took off and he began to make an eye-watering sum of money. Ross said: 'By summer 2021, I was making £10,000 per month, and I told my parents I didn't want to sit my Advanced Highers.' His parents encouraged him to go back to school, but Ross quit after just one day. Ross said that he got his big break when he worked with Bugha, a streamer who only had 20,000 followers at the time. As his star continues to rise, Ross is eyeing a move to Dallas, Texas, where many of the biggest Fortnite streamers are based. The news comes after the makers of an online game with 40 million players will be removed from two consoles. Black Desert Online has long been one of the most popular games in the industry, but will soon no longer be available on PS4 and XBox One. Players will have to buy a Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 to play the game from June 26. The game's developers, Pearl Abyss, said: "We understand that this news may be disappointing for our longtime Adventurers on these platforms. "Please know that this decision was made after careful consideration, with the goal of ensuring the future growth and evolution of Black Desert Console. "We remain fully committed to delivering you the best possible adventures in Black Desert."
