KEEP DANCING Controversial Strictly star forced to slash ticket prices by 50% after show scandal meant tour failed to sell out
STRICTLY Come Dancing pros have slashed tickets to one of their upcoming shows after failing to sell out.
The performance, scheduled at New Theatre Oxford tomorrow (Tuesday 17th June), will see two faces join forces as part of their joint tour.

Giovanni Pernice, who famously left Strictly after Amanda Abbington triggered a probe into his backstage behaviour, has teamed up with Anton Du Beke for a tour they've named 'Together Again'.
However, tickets have now been slashed to 50% off via the Show Film First in order to fill seats, with £43 tickets now going for £20.91.
At their most expensive, tickets were going for £143 each, but now available for just £53.
The entire balcony has also been closed off in order to bring ticketholders down to lower (and typically pricier) seats.

The Together Again tour will continue across the UK through to the end of July.
Giovanni and Anton have been longtime collaborators, with their travel show being axed in the wake of the Giovanni scandal, despite earning a Bafta nomination.
Giovanni has since been cleared of all but six allegations made against him by former partners, including Abbington.
Whilst Giovanni was cleared of being physically abusive to Amanda Abbington, he stressed that it made last year 'a dark year'.

He said previously: 'I'm not going to lie, there were dark moments in terms of, you know, this is finished, this is the end of my career.
"That was one of my down moments. Sorry for my language but 2024 can f**k off," he added. "I've been looking forward to seeing the back of it.'

Despite the Sicilian dancer sharing his hopes to rejoin the series, The Sun recently revealed that Simone Arena is set to replace him.
The hunky Italian, 33, is the boyfriend of Michelle Tsiakkas, 29, who is also on the show, will join in the Autumn as one of two new pros.

But all is not lost for Gio, who managed to bag over £1million in the last financial year – his most lucrative to date – via other television appearances, dance workshops, and moving to the Italian version of Strictly, Ballando con le Stelle.

Strictly Come Dancing stars share statement after 'difficult circumstances'

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Fans were left disheartened as Strictly Come Dancing luminaries Dianne Buswell and Vito Coppola announced the cancellation of part of their evening's programme. In the throes of their Red Hot and Ready tour, Dianne, 36, and Vito, 32, were set to dazzle the audience last night (22 June) at the prestigious Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End. The blow came for those who had shelled out for the Meet and Greet package; they received news that this element was axed. Emails bore the disappointing message: "We're sorry to inform you but due to very difficult circumstances that have occurred today, today's meet and greet with Dianne and Vito has unfortunately been cancelled." The communication extended the twosome's sincerest apologies and recognised the unfortunate disruption. It reassured ticket holders that, despite this setback, the pair were ready to carry on with Sunday's show. (Image: Red Hot & Ready) Guaranteeing a refund, the organisers strove to soothe ruffled feathers, reports the Express. This setback came after Dianne conceded to experiencing a challenging period on tour, confessing: "I've been struggling, I've had a struggle struggle week." In her chat on the Winning Isn't Everything podcast alongside ex-partner Chris McCausland, she confided: "Because I did have a moment, I've cried and everything, I had a moment where I thought, 'I feel really bad when I used to be so mean to Chris about being sick'." Joining in the banter, the comic jested: "Hang on, when we did Strictly, I'm just trying to think, even when I was bad or injured," prompting an interjection from Dianne who quipped: "You were quite sick a lot." (Image: BBC) He retorted: "How many times did I cry that wasn't for joyous, emotional reasons? How many times did I cry because of illness or pain or sadness?" After taking a moment to reflect, he humorously added that the number was "zero". In her defence, Dianne remarked that women often appear "much more emotional" than men, reasoning that hormones play a role. The dancer, famed for her relationship with YouTuber Joe Suggs, and her colleague Vito branched out following the annual national tour of Strictly Come Dancing – which, this year, marked the first time without its reigning champion. Chris, achieving a milestone as the first blind victor in 2024, missed the tour due to a calendar conflict with his own engagements. At that juncture, he released a statement regarding the tour collision: "I'm afraid I will not be able to do the Strictly tour. My own tour was meant to be on the road in September and a lot of dates were moved to Jan and Feb to accommodate doing #Strictly." He lamented: "It's unfortunate as it's been so much fun, but my own dates can't be moved for a second time."

Homes Under the Hammer's Martin Roberts says 'I failed on every level'

Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts has been working to transform a rural Welsh pub into a tourist destination, but the building is still in dire need of renovation Homes Under the Hammer star Martin Roberts openly confessed to hitting rock bottom in his latest endeavour, as he struggles with the mammoth task of converting a down-at-heel Welsh pub into a holiday hotspot. Currently faced with the enormous challenge of refurbishing the rural Hendrewen Hotel in Rhondda Valley, the premises are far from ready, with parts of the building close to collapse. Once confident that a two-year timeline and a £500,000 budget would suffice to revive the eight-bedroom inn, 61 year old Roberts now finds himself dealing with major delays two years into the renovation. Speaking to The Sun, he shared: "I'm still smiling but, oh my word, what a challenge it's been." ‌ ‌ He candidly admitted: "I'll be honest, it's the first commercial property I've ever done. There have been lots of residential houses and flats, but commercial properties have a lot more complications." Roberts estimates that the project is about "60%" complete and remains optimistic that the work will "come together really quickly" as he approaches the home stretch. His goal is to have the doors open by next Easter at the absolute latest, subject to overcoming hurdles such as planning permission related to local flood risks. The TV personality recounted the numerous obstacles he's encountered, saying there were "lots of hoops to jump through", and initially finding the building plagued by slanted walls, collapsing windows, and bats roosting in a leaking roof, reports the Express. In a surprising twist, Roberts revealed he hadn't even shared the news with his wife Kirsty about purchasing the dilapidated pub while in Wales recuperating from a heart operation. The local watering hole is set to become the star of a ten-part ITV documentary series next year, cheekily titled Oops! ‌ I Bought A Pub. Taking inspiration from Jeremy Clarkson, plans are afoot to dangle a Rolls-Royce upside down from the dining room ceiling, mirroring the chrome tractor feature at Jeremy's establishment, The Farmer's Dog. Guests will have the chance to stay in one of the venue's eight uniquely themed bedrooms, each named after different TV shows and designed with an "individual feel". There's also a new bar and restaurant in the works for the property. ‌ The pub aims to bring about 30 jobs to the area, including a teaching kitchen where celebrity chefs will impart their knowledge to the youth. And for those with musical aspirations, there will be a stage area to showcase their talents.
