Iranian Emergency Services: 14 Medical staff injured, 7 ambulances damaged in zionist aggression
Tehran – Saba:
The head of Iran's Emergency Organization, Jafar Miadfar, announced on Saturday that the Zionist entity's aggression on the country resulted in injuries to 14 emergency medical personnel and damage to seven ambulances.
He affirmed that emergency medical services continue to operate around the clock across Iran.
In a televised interview, Miadfar stated that emergency medical services remain fully operational without interruption through more than 3,400 emergency centers in various provinces, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim.
He noted previous delays in ambulance procurement due to administrative procedures but highlighted that cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Customs had expedited the release of stalled vehicles. He added that new batches of ambulances would be distributed in the coming days.
Miadfar emphasized the full readiness of doctors and nurses, including retired personnel, to provide immediate support if needed, though health authorities have not yet required their assistance.
Regarding direct damages from the aggression, he said, "Seven ambulances were directly damaged, 14 emergency staff were injured—some temporarily out of service—and three emergency centers, one health center, and three hospitals were damaged in recent days."
He mentioned that incidents near three hospitals in northern Tehran caused panic and distress among patients, describing the events as "a clear violation of humanitarian laws and human rights."
Despite the difficult circumstances, Miadfar stressed that healthcare workers had not abandoned their duties, with over 500 surgeries performed across the country's hospitals in recent days, aided by volunteer doctors.
He confirmed that heads of medical universities continue to inspect treatment centers, and medicines and supplies are being secured under a comprehensive national plan to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services.

UNRWA: Gaza's health sector in critical condition
Gaza - (Saba): The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Wednesday that the health sector in Gaza is in a critical situation due to the ongoing genocidal war perpetrated by the Zionist enemy. UNRWA added, in press statements, according to the Palestinian Safa News Agency, that 45% of essential supplies are depleted, and nearly a quarter of them could be depleted within six weeks. It indicated that stocks of vital medicines and blood products are on the verge of depletion, while needs are urgent and increasing daily. Since March 2, the Zionist enemy has closed the Gaza Strip's crossings to the entry of food, relief, medical aid, and goods, causing a significant deterioration in the humanitarian situation. With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 55,637 Palestinian citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 129,880 others. Military leaders inspect conditions of wounded in care centers, private hospitals
Sana'a - Saba: Major General Abu Bakr al-Ghazali, the Assistant Minister of Defense for Technology, along with Brigadier General Ahmed al-Khaiwani, Director of the Military Survey Department, and Brigadier General Mohammed al-Adhema, Director of the Legal Affairs Department, conducted inspections of the conditions of wounded Armed Forces personnel in Sana'a. Accompanied by Brigadier General Engineer Abdul-Ilah al-Azzi, Director of the Office of the Assistant Minister of Defense, they visited the 22 May Hospital, the Seventieth Care Center, and several private hospitals in the capital. During their visits, they received updates from hospital and care center officials regarding the health and treatment services provided to the wounded. The military leaders exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings with the wounded, conveying congratulations from the revolutionary and military leadership. They underscored that the sacrifices of the wounded serve as a testament to the strength and courage of Yemeni fighters in defending the nation's land, unity, and capabilities. They also highlighted the Revolutionary Leadership and Supreme Political Council's firm stance in supporting the Palestinian resistance. The officials asserted that Yemen has become a significant military force that cannot be disregarded globally, and that its current religious and moral position will not change until the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip ceases and the siege is lifted. They commended the high morale and unwavering determination of the wounded, who expressed a desire to return to the front lines to confront the Zionist and American aggression and secure victory for Yemen and the Islamic nation.
