Golf Fans Rip ESPN For Adam Schefter Coverage Thursday
Golf Fans Rip ESPN For Adam Schefter Coverage Thursday originally appeared on The Spun. Adam Schefter is getting into a new sport this week. The popular ESPN NFL insider is working as an on-the-course golf reporter at the Travelers Championship on Thursday. He's working a featured group of Rory McIlroy and Keegan Bradley. Schefter, known for his NFL coverage, is a major golf fan as well, working as an on-the-course reporter for ESPN+. Advertisement However, many golf fans are not happy with him. Golf fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about ESPN's over-the-top coverage of Schefter and his golf course shenanigans on Thursday. "We've got Adam Schefter out there calling shots, what else could you want?" the broadcasters said. But golf fans are not happy. NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - OCTOBER 18: ESPN analyst Adam Schefter on tv broadcast before a game between the Buffalo Bills and the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium on October 18, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans defeated the Bills 34-31. (Photo by)"Boy i think PGA Tour Live really overestimated how much folks want to see Adam Schefter on their TV screens lol. don't need the constant cuts to a man holding a microphone watching some golf" one fan wrote. "ESPN rolling out Adam Schefter for on course PGA Tour coverage is financial surrender," one fan added. Advertisement "It makes zero sense to advertise Adam Schefter as an on-course reporter if the other on-course reporter does all the work and Adam barely speaks," one fan added. "Everything espn does with their reporters is tiresome at this point. I don't care if Darlington is the golf guy, don't care if schefter is either lol. Just show the event," one fan added. "As if it's Adam Schefter's personality that has earned him a following," one fan added. "Thank GOODNESS PGA Tour Live is doing a split screen so we can watch Adam Schefter watch golf. A dream come true," one fan joked. The first round of the Travelers Championship is airing live on ESPN+ on Thursday with the second round coming on Friday. Dan Orlovsky makes bold prediction about Panthers QB Bryce Young
Dan Orlovsky makes bold prediction about Panthers QB Bryce Young "I would bet on Bryce Young this season.. I believe in Dave Canales and I love the addition of Tet McMillan.. This is a very good offensive line and I love the way Bryce Young bounced back last year"@danorlovsky7 #PMSLive — Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) June 18, 2025 A former NFL quarterback is ready to bet on Bryce Young. ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky joined this past Wednesday's episode of The Pat McAfee Show. When asked which young quarterback he thinks will make the biggest jump in 2025, he points to Young and the support system that the Carolina Panthers have surrounded him with. Take a listen: Despite some high hopes for his first season under first-year head coach and "quarterback whisperer" Dave Canales, Young got off to a miserable start in 2024. After throwing for 245 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions in a pair of blowout losses, the former No. 1 overall pick was benched for veteran Andy Dalton beginning in Week 3. Young would get his second chance in Week 8, and he didn't look back. Over the final 10 games of the campaign, he totaled 2,327 yards, 20 touchdowns and six picks while leading the Panthers to four wins. Carolina has since added more help for Young in the form of 6-foot-4, 219-pound Tetairoa McMillan, the eighth overall selection of the 2025 draft. They've also used the offseason to bring back their starting offensive line as well as few key depth pieces including Cade Mays and Brady Christensen. So if continuity is key, then Young and the Panthers will probably make Orlovsky look awfully good by the end of the year. Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.

Lions legend Calvin Johnson listed in ESPN's All Quarter Century Team
ESPN released its All Quarter Century Team for 2000-2025 on Wednesday, including just one name from Detroit Lions history. Hall of Fame wide receiver Calvin Johnson is the second receiver listed in ESPN's 53-man roster for the 21st century, behind Randy Moss and ahead of Julio Jones, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, and Justin Jefferson. ESPN analysts Andrew Schatz and Seth Walder put the list together, acknowledging Johnson's short but dominant run in the NFL. Advertisement "Johnson leaped over defenders en route to two 1,600-plus-yard seasons and the all-time single-season receiving yards record (1,964) in 2012," Walder said. "He ranks fourth since 2000 in yards per game behind only three current players with far fewer games played (Justin Jefferson, Puka Nacua and Ja'Marr Chase)." Walder also pointed out Megatron's individual success despite the talent around him, particularly before the arrival of Matthew Stafford. "During Detroit's infamous 0-16 season in 2008, Johnson managed 1,331 yards with Dan Orlovsky, Daunte Culpepper and Jon Kitna at quarterback." No other Lions made this particular list by ESPN, though it's not entirely surprising given how the first 20 years of this century went.
