This is the first picture of a 'hero' restaurant manager who was stabbed to death after trying to break up a fight outside a west London Muslim centre.
The victim, named locally as Dara Sayed Barham, had intervened as 'peacemaker' after two men fought near his eatery on Hanworth Road.
His best friend Kavan Soleman described how Dara had not considered his own safety when he came between the battling men on Sunday.
The road remained closed today as forensics officers trawled the scene for clues.
Medical bags still lay strewn outside the Hounslow Muslim Centre.
Kavan told Metro that his friend had come to London four years ago and had been a 'perfect citizen'.
He said: 'He was my best friend he would help anyone and do anything for anyone. The fight was nothing to do with him. But he was a perfect citizen, a hero who tried to come between them without worrying about himself, he was a peacemaker.
'I'm devastated he was such a good, hardworking person. He is Kurdish like me. His family are there. I'm going to the hospital as I live in London. I can't believe he has gone.'

Farnhan Ali, who runs a mobile phone store near the restaurant where the victim worked, described him as 'just a wonderful guy' who had recently bought a phone from him to use to send home to his Kurdish family.
Farhan told Metro: 'I'm in shock he was a wonderful guy, my best customer. He bought a phone he had been saving up for from me. He said he wanted to use the camera to send a picture home to his mother. He was such a peaceful guy he was the best person.'
A statement from the Metropolitan Police, issued yesterday, said officers were called to busy west London street yesterday after receiving reports that a 22-year-old man has been stabbed.
Dara was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where he later died. His next of kin has been informed.
No arrests have been made.
Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation and enquiries are ongoing. A crime scene remains in place.
Detective chief inspector Wayne Jolley said: 'Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim at this incredibly difficult time.

'This incident happened in a busy part of Hounslow during the middle of the afternoon. It's vital we hear from anyone who was in the area and witnessed the attack, the moments leading up to it, or the aftermath.
'If you think you might have caught any dash cam or mobile phone footage, please contact the police as soon as possible. You may have vital information that could assist our investigation.
'The incident happened outside the Hounslow Muslim Centre. At this time, there is nothing to suggest a link to the venue.'

Manhunt for thief launched after £150,000 violin stolen from pub

A manhunt has been launched after a 285-year-old violin belonging to a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra was stolen from a London pub. Scotland Yard released CCTV footage to try to and identify a suspect in the alleged theft of the 'priceless' instrument from The Marquess Tavern on Canonbury Street, Islington. Violinist David López Ibáñez, 30, told police it was worth more than £150,000 and was a loan for major concerts with the Philharmonia. The footage captured the moment a man with a light-coloured hat on allegedly snatches the violin in its black case from the north London boozer on February 18. The treasured violin was made by Florentine instrument maker Lorenzo Carcassi in 1740. It has a distinctive heart-shaped hole in the scroll and was kept in a black Riboni Unoeotto case, alongside three bows – including one with a mother-of-pearl tip – as well as white cotton bag made by David's late grandmother. David, originally from Spain, previously told Metro the 'rare' instrument they had played for eight years was 'worthless' to the thief, but 'priceless' to them. 'Instantly I felt like a part of me was gone,' they said. 'As a musician you have such a special bond with your instrument. It is a companion, it comes with you on your back all around the world.' They added: 'I moved to the UK to pursue a childhood dream of becoming a violinist and now my voice has been taken away from me. 'The violin sounds so in tune with me. I am so in tune with it. I feel like my life has been torn apart. I cannot fall asleep.' They said the loss was the 'stuff of nightmares'. 'There is nothing which could compare to this. This is up there with one of the worst things that can happen.' David has played the violin at London's most well-known concert venues, including Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and Conway Hall. More Trending After the theft, the violinist has been forced to use a spare instrument in some performances. PC Michael Collins, from the Met's local policing team in Camden, told Metro: 'We've been working hard to try and locate the suspect and are releasing this CCTV in an effort to help identify them as soon as possible.' He added: 'It is incredibly precious, and for the victim, it's priceless. 'Please help us find the person responsible and have the violin returned to its rightful owner.' Crimestoppers launch campaign to tackle violence over summer holidays weeks after Kayden Moy's death

The campaign will be promoted to youths on social media platforms, including Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram. Crimestoppers has launched a new campaign to keep kids safe over the summer holidays. The charity's youth service Fearless wants to engage with youngsters to prevent violence and warn of the dangers of off-road biking. ‌ The Scotland-wide campaign, which is backed by Network Rail Scotland, will see the Fearless team active on social media platforms including Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram, to engage with young people during the summer months. ‌ The teams will also operate a number of outreach events, including at TRNSMT in Glasgow Green on July 11-13, where kids can speak up about crime anonymously. The initiative comes after the death of 16-year-old Kayden Moy at Irvine beach last month. The youngster was laid to rest this week following the tragedy on May 17. A 14-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys have appeared in court charged with murder. Police Scotland has also vowed to crackdown on youth violence at Edinburgh's Portobello beach after two people were attacked in the last three months. A rise in violence sparked the Record's Our Kids ... Our Future - our response to a youth violence epidemic. ‌ As part of the campaign, we have repeatedly demanded the Scottish Government to invest in young people, so they can be nurtured, mentored and guided in every community. Following Kayden Moy's death last month, Scotland's justice secretary Angela Constance pledged an additional £6m to tackle youth violence. Lyndsay McDade, Fearless Scotland Manager at Crimestoppers, said: 'We were proud to launch this year's summer campaign in Kilmarnock with the support of Network Rail Scotland and local partners. ‌ 'The summer holidays can be an exciting time, but we know they can also bring challenges. 'From understanding the dangers of off-road biking to preventing violence and promoting prosocial behaviour, we're here to support young people across Scotland to stay safe and to remind them that they can always speak up at 100% anonymously. Always.' Minister for Victims & Community Safety, Siobhian Brown, said: 'I am pleased that our partner Fearless continue to use their strength of campaigns to drive positive change to encourage young people to stay safe, as well as recognising the dangers of crime and how to get advice and support when they need it. 'Scotland remains a safe place to live and I hope the positive choices this campaign promotes resonates with all young people to enjoy a safe summer holiday.' Assistant Chief Constable Mark Sutherland, said: " Keeping our young people and communities safe throughout the year, as well as during the summer and school holidays, is a priority for Police Scotland officers."
