Yet last week, Katy Armstrong actress Georgia May Foote - who left Corrie in 2015 and whose character was killed off-screen two years later - took to Instagram to report her salon unit had burned down.
She launched a fundraiser for herself and the other businesses affected while they await a potential insurance payout - yet was hit with flack from cruel online trolls.
Georgia, 34, has now given a hard-hitting update - telling fans the building will now be demolished, before capturing her abandoned salon chair in the rubble.
In another video posted to her Instagram grid, she thanked fans for their kindness to date and said: "Guys! thank you so much!
"Unfortunately the building is now about to be demolished, my heart is broken.
"I was to first of all say how sorry I am to anyone who has lost even a single item in that fire. I can't imagine how those who have things that can't be replaced feel. I'm so sorry.
"I posted my last reel as an appeal to help us all get back to work as soon as possible, without us working we can't buy stock, without stock we can't work. It's the hardest situation for so many of us to be in. With our whole place of work and tools gone and families to feed and bills to pay."
She then told how there had been a glimmer of happiness in the dire situation and said: "I aimed to raise 10k not thinking for a second we would bet this support! But here we are passing 10k!
"There are 12 of us affected by this who work in the beauty industry and every penny will be evenly distributed to help us get back where we were."

"Thank you for everything that has been donated too!

"If you have another business that has been affected from this fire and you want me to help you with your fundraisers please get in touch."

Back in 2023, she revealed her normal salon day job eight years after bidding farewell to Weatherfield.
She trained for two years for her career in beauty and set up her own brand, GMF Nails.
In 2023, she told how she had moved to the Middleton premises and wrote on social media: "Georgia said: "It's been over two years since I qualified as a nail tech and it's been the best two years getting to know you all!
"I spent the last two years working with some amazing girls who have now become life long friends, who taught me everything I needed to know, and gave me the confidence to do everything you guys throw at me!
"Over three months ago I took the plunge to move into somewhere a bit more intimate, working alongside another incredible nail tech and I absolutely love our new little space guys!"
She went onto admit that whilst acting was her main ambition in life, her new role in the nail industry allowed her some much needed "security."
She added at the time: "
"But nails gives me that little bit of head space and security most actors need!
"I am very grateful you have all supported me every time I have had to run off to film something! It means a lot when you are proud!
"I am now open to taking on new clients and looking forward to meeting many more of you!"

I spent £37k & get fillers every week to have the biggest lips in the world…breathing is hard & people call my pout ugly
Plus, scroll down for more on the risks of getting lip filler PLUMP PROBLEM I spent £37k & get fillers every week to have the biggest lips in the world…breathing is hard & people call my pout ugly Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A CONTENT creator has admitted to spending over £37,000 on lip filler to ensure she has the 'biggest lips in the world.' Vienna Würstel, who lives in Majorca, Spain, and is widely known for her huge pout, claimed that strangers call her extreme lips 'ugly', but doesn't plan to stop the filler anytime soon. The influencer began cosmetic procedures at the age of just 18, when she first got lip filler and now, her body has 'more plastic than body fat.' She has had multiple procedures and surgery to achieve her unique look, including a breast augmentation, a lip lift, an eye lift, a BBL, as well as cheek and chin implants. In total Vienna has spent around $160,000 [£119,565] on surgery and $50,000 [£37,365] just for her lips. So dedicated to her plumped-up pout, Vienna jets from Majorca to Frankfurt to get her filler fix, as she explained: "I get lip filler sometimes every week, mostly it's between two and four weeks. 'I want them really big, really extreme. I want to really stand out." But Vienna receives a lot of negative attention over her large lips, as she admitted: "I get a lot of judgement because of my appearance. 'People film directly in my face, people scream at me at how ugly I am. I get a lot of stares." Not only this, but online trolls have urged her to 'sue' her plastic surgeon', called her look 'nasty' and claimed that her surgeon 'should be arrested.' And it's not just judgement that Vienna has to deal with - she also finds breathing a challenge as a result of the size of her pout. I'm so obsessed with filler that my huge lips touch my nose - trolls can't understand what I'm saying, but I don't care She confessed: 'Having big lips totally affects how I talk but also how I drink or eat or breathe. Sometimes it's even hard to breathe.' I have the biggest lips in the world, but I won't stop there and want to go even bigger Vienna Würstel But despite the judgement, Vienna is determined to continue looking exactly how she wants, as she acknowledged: "I will never stop getting plastic surgeries because it makes me the person I want to be." Social media users react YouTube users were left gobsmacked by Vienna's plump pout and many eagerly flocked to the comments to share their thoughts. What are the risks of lip fillers? THE RISKS of dermal fillers depend on whether the procedure was done correctly and the type of filler used. The NHS recommends you speak to your practitioner about the risks beforehand. Serious problems are rare but can include: Infection A lumpy appearance under the skin, which might need to be treated with surgery or medicine The filler moving away from the intended treatment area, which may need to be removed using surgery Scarring Blocked blood vessels in the face, which can cause tissue death and permanent blindness You should see your GP if you have any complications that need medical attention and speak to your practitioner if you're not happy with the results or experience lumpiness. Source: NHS One person asked: 'What kind of beautician and plastic surgeon allows this?? Surely this is almost illegal??' Another added: 'She looks like she had an allergic reaction to something. What physician would allow this?' That looks very uncomfortable YouTube user A third commented: 'She doesn't look human.' Meanwhile, someone else wrote: 'It looks so painful!' Not only this, but another gasped: 'That looks very uncomfortable.' Unlock even more award-winning articles as The Sun launches brand new membership programme - Sun Club

I was replaced on the BBC by Gary Lineker and haven't spoken to him since, I knew he was the wrong man in the wrong job

Rider initially kept quiet about his replacement, until in 2015 when Lineker took a swipe at the R&A in St Andrews. The former England captain was upset with the R&A's decision to flog rights to the Open, previously held by the Beeb, to Sky Sports. Lineker called the R&A "pompous" and "superior" - which Rider took issue with. READ MORE ON GARY LINEKER BLOCKED BY BEEB Lineker's BBC feud worsens as final interview with Mo Salah is BLOCKED The veteran presenter called Lineker at the time "the wrong man in the wrong job", before adding: "Gary was honest enough to step aside from the golf, but his attack on the R&A was sour and misguided in the extreme." Rider has now claimed that Lineker "blundered" into politics during an interview with the Telegraph. Reflecting on the presenter's controversial BBC exit, Rider added: "To put forward his opinions so energetically, you need to step outside the framework of the BBC. "That message was never convincingly conveyed to him by the BBC, and that's where they are at fault. He needed to be saved from himself. So, there was a kind of inevitability about it." Rider has not spoken to Lineker since criticising his swipe at the R&A a decade ago. Legendary BBC and ITV commentator retires after glittering 48-year career as sporting icons say goodbye During his stint with the BBC, Rider hosted Sports Personality of the Year alongside Des Lynam. Taking aim at the current incarnation of SPOTY, the outgoing ITV stalwart said: "The commercial aspect took over. "The thinking was, 'Let's take it to a 5,000-seat arena with a big shiny floor'. It killed the chemistry. "Unfortunately, this happened just as the BBC's involvement in sport started declining. "Now it's very, very uncomfortable to see. It's not the type of programme you would invent now. "It has become a bit of a ball and chain.'

Our UK seaside village is inundated with tourists after TV show made us globally famous – it's forcing us out our home
Tens of thousands of fans flock to the peaceful fishing town each year SEA TO BELIEVE Our UK seaside village is inundated with tourists after TV show made us globally famous – it's forcing us out our home Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A POPULAR TV show is forcing residents to leave their picturesque coastal village - because it has become a mecca for tourists. Residents in the Cornish village of Port Isaac have fumed that droves of Doc Martin fans arriving each year have made their town unlivable. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 9 Tens of thousands of Doc Martin fans flock to the village each year Credit: Neil Hope 9 During summer months, the town is so crowded that locals steer clear Credit: Neil Hope 9 Over the past two decades, house prices in the area have quadrupled Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk Tens of thousands of 'Clunatics' - the nickname for fans of the show and star Martin Clunes - flock to the peaceful fishing village annually. During the summer months, the town's narrow winding lanes are so crowded that locals steer clear of the historic harbour. Fans from the UK, USA, Australia and mainland Europe has turned the once quiet village into an international tourism hub. To some in Port Isaac, this has brought new opportunities including walking tours, cafes and merchandise shops. Rubber-necking tourists reportedly flock to view iconic landmarks such as the home of Martin Clunes' character Dr Martin Ellingham, and Aunty Ruth's cottage above Squeezy Belly Alley. But locals have suggested that their home has become a "victim of its popularity". Over the past two decades, house prices in the area - renamed Port Wenn on the show - have quadrupled. Mum-of-two Anne Wilce, 44, a lifelong Port Isaac resident, told how it had become "unrecognisable". She fumed: 'It is horrific, there is no affordable housing available for anybody now. 'My sons are 19 and 22 and they won't ever be able to afford to buy a house at this rate. 'Without more affordable housing in the village the younger generation will move away because there is nothing here for them. 'My house is 30 years old and it's part of the last affordable housing that has been built here. Martin Clunes announces sad death of Doc Martin co-star live on air - two years after hit ITV show ended 'I don't go down to the village centre, I have no reason to because it's all second homes. "Even when something does come up for sale it's ridiculously priced - nobody around here can afford it. 'Doc Martin brought a whole load of money into the village which has created jobs for people and helped this community. "But it is also a victim of its popularity and it doesn't feel like our village any more.' Tourism has long since overtaken fishing as Port Isaac's main industry. Local businesses have thrived as a result of the town's worldwide fame. 9 Local resident Anne Wilce worries about her children finding homes in the area Credit: Neil Hope 9 Locals have suggested that their home has become a 'victim of its popularity' Credit: Neil Hope 9 To some in Port Isaac, Doc Martin has brought new business opportunities including walking tours, cafes and merchandise shops John Cleave, who was brought up in the village and runs the Boathouse fashion and gift shop, agrees that the show has changed village life. "The locals talk about BDM – that's Before Doc Martin. "It was always favoured by comparatively few people who simply saw it as a beautiful, typical Cornish fishing village. "As a business you could close your doors from October to Easter and it wouldn't make a lot of difference. "Thanks to Doc Martin we now have all-year-round trade." The British comedy-drama first aired in 2004. On the outer edge of the village - next to Port Isaac's real GP surgery - sits a small housing estate containing some of the village's only affordable homes. They were constructed around 30 years ago and according to residents they were the last affordable homes built in the village. There are now just two active fishing boats remaining in the village - compared with 174 holiday lets on Airbnb alone. In the past year, semi-detached properties in Port Isaac sold for an average of £810,000, with terraced properties fetching £616,250, according to Rightmove. Shop worker Elisha Scott, 19, and her family have lived in the area for 10 years. She said: 'Nobody my age can afford to rent let alone buy a house here, all my friends still live with their parents. 'I'm not really thinking about house prices though because I don't think I'll stay here for a long time, there just aren't the job opportunities. 'Doc Martin definitely made a difference to Port Isaac, there are always fans of the show looking around the village. "What has come with that is a lot of people buying second homes here which has made it too expensive for locals.' Earlier this month a new plan was unveiled to build more affordable homes for local people. Tre Haven Community Land Trust (CLT) has started negotiations with Cornwall Council to purchase land for 25 affordable housing developments. The proposal has support from the area's Lib Dem MP Ben Maguire and local celebrity chef Nathan Outlaw. But critics point out the site sits on a main road several miles from the village - with almost no public transport links to shops or schools. Unemployed Ciaran Patching, 20, said: 'It took me two years of searching and I feel incredibly lucky to be here, before that I was living with my mum in the town. 'I would love to be able to buy my own house here but it doesn't feel like that will ever be an option at the moment. 'Port Isaac is definitely very popular in summer but in winter it can be dead. "The popularity of Doc Martin has helped a lot of businesses around here but it has made it hard for year round residents.' 9 Resident Ciaran Patching lives in affordable housing in the area Credit: Neil Hope 9 John Cleave hailed the show's positive impact on local businesses Credit: Neil Hope
