New in town: Teng Xpress – clean, light vegetarian tempura in CBD

When you're searching for places for lunch, how many vegetarian options are there? But don't worry, there's the newly opened Teng Xpress in The Heart, Marina One.
Teng Xpress is a concept store opened by Teng Bespoke Vegetarian Dining, founded in 2012. They focus on creating flavourful meals with little to no additives. Teng Xpress incorporates seasonal vegetables and vegetarian alternatives into their tempura for a fresh, light bite.
As it is a kiosk-style store, you can place your order via machines, which gives you more time to scroll through their extensive customisation options. Introverts rejoice (myself included)!
Teng Xpress's opening offers the Teriyaki Glaze Set Menu (S$9.90). It comes with cold buckwheat noodles, a choice of 4 tempura items and a bowl of miso soup. For the CBD area, I'd say this is worth the price.
The tempura ingredients vary from mock prawn (or ebi) to enoki mushrooms, asparagus, eggplant and more. Since they will bring in seasonal produce, I'm excited to see new menu items pop up throughout the year.
Apart from mains, Teng Xpress also offers snacks such as youtiao and tau huay. As they are available from 8am, you can get these for a light breakfast or a midday snack. Who could say no to youtiao that's crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, eaten with silky tau huay?
Note that there is no seating area within the store itself as it's a 'pick-and-go' sort of place. A small price for a quick and easy meal, I suppose. If you need to sit, though, there are seating areas around the mall you can use.
Within walking distance from Downtown, Shenton Way and Marina Bay MRT stations, Teng Xpress's opening provides an accessible and affordable vegetarian option. If you have yet to decide on what to eat today, why not drop by?

Kylie Kelce Says Her Daughters Are Going to Camp for the First Time — and Reveals How She'll Manage Summer as a Mom of Four

Kylie Kelce is sharing her plans for the summer The podcaster revealed that her older daughters, Elliotte Ray and Wyatt Elizabeth, are going to be going to camp for the first time The mom of four shares her children with husband, retired NFL star Jason KelceKylie Kelce is opening up about her plans for her first summer as a mom of four. During the Thursday, June 19, episode of the Not Gonna Lie podcast, the mom of four, 33, revealed that her older daughters, Elliotte Ray, 4, and Wyatt Elizabeth, 5, would be going to camp for the first time. Since they are still young, Kylie said that it's only going to be for a couple of hours and not for the full week; however, the ultimate goal is to simply get them out the house. "My kids are officially done with their school year, so I thought I'd get honest about summer break as a parent. Everybody knows that when school lets out, that means we have all day every day at home with each other," the mom of four began. "This summer is the first summer where the girls are actually going to do some camps. And when I say camps, I mean, they're 5 and 4 guys. It's like a three- to four-day situation." "I think it's maximum three hours," she continued. "We're really it's just to get them out somewhere else, anywhere else, and moving around." She went on to express the hardships of finding an activity that all of her children could enjoy, before sharing how she plans to manage summer break as a mom of four. "I will say that our age range right now, 5 to — I don't even know how old the youngest one is," she paused, before continuing, "I don't know. You get it. She's new. It's hard to find an activity for everyone." "So, as long as I can hook Finn to the front of me and everybody else has their shoes on, we just we get the heck out," she added. Kylie and her husband Jason Kelce, 37, who announced his retirement from the NFL in March 2024, are the proud parents of four daughters — newborn Finnley 'Finn' Anne, Bennett Llewellyn, 2, Elliotte Ray and Wyatt Elizabeth. The podcaster mused about Father's Day gifts that are 'actually for Mom,' during the June 12 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. One of the items on her gift guide list was 'clothes you would like him to start wearing.' Kylie then quipped that if she was going to buy Jason clothes, she would go down a more unconventional route. "I'd probably buy him a banana hammock,' she noted of the revealing spandex thong one-piece famously worn by Sasha Baron Cohen's character Borat. 'Just kidding. Four kids is enough.' is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE ahead of an episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast in April, Kylie joined host Amanda Hirsch to discuss everything from parenting to welcoming her fourth baby. Kylie opened up about the exact moment she realized she wanted a fourth child. 'I've always said that I wanted four kids, [and] room for one pleasant surprise. If we had 5 kids, I'd be like that's enough, like we really need to stop,' ' Kylie explained. 'The one thing I will say is there was this moment when our third was probably like 6 months old, where I was like maybe this is good?" "And then when she hit about a year and some change, I … had this moment of 'Oh, I forgot one' because I kept thinking like I forgot the baby," she continued. "And then I'm like 'S--- no. All my toddlers are here.' I had three kids.' 'The switch that happened was when our youngest really started acting like a toddler, and then my brain started saying, 'You're forgetting the baby,' " she said, noting that this was the moment she knew she wanted to have a fourth baby. "I did not approach our third as if it were going to be my last, and so I have this mental block now where I think that one more baby is right.' Read the original article on People

Meghan Markle Shares Prince Harry's Unique Royal Parenting Style With Prince Archie & Princess Lilibet

Prince Harry is a hands-on father. That's what Meghan Markle is making sure royal fans know — his best role in life is as Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet's, 4, dad. His proactive role in his children's lives was seen in the Duchess of Sussex's sweet Father's Day tribute to her husband on Instagram. The adorable moments were captured in a tender video and gave her followers a more intimate look at their personal lives — and they look happy! Meghan shared her love for Harry by captioning the video, 'The best. Happy Father's Day to our favorite guy.' She added a two-pink-heart emoji and added Jason Mraz's single, 'Have It All (Acoustic) to the clip. More from SheKnows Megan Fox & Machine Gun Kelly Reveal Their Newborn Daughter's Name - & It's Both Poetic & Edgy Most of the footage was from Archie and Lilibet's younger years (probably to protect their privacy), but we can't help but smile at the dad milestones Harry has been able to witness — from teaching his son how to ride a bike to taking a father-daughter beach walk with his daughter. It's the everyday activities his late mother, Princess Diana, appreciated despite her royal title. She tried to give Princes William and Harry a normal childhood even though they were very famous young boys. In the last year, the Duke of Sussex has doubled down on his decision to move to the U.S. after exiting the royal family – it was the right move for his family. 'I enjoy living [in the U.S.] and bringing my kids up here,' Harry at The New York Times' DealBook Summit in December 2024. 'It's a part of my life that I never thought I was going to live, and it feels as though it's the life that my mom wanted for me. I want my kids to grow up with the opportunity to be themselves.' Princess Diana's parenting style was imprinted on Harry at a young age even though she passed in 1997, he has never wavered from her teachings. 'My main goal is to be the best dad and husband I can be,' he added. It's not much different from what Diana told the press in her years as a royal. 'I will fight for my children on any level so they can reach their potential as human beings, and in their public duties,' she said in her BBC interview with Martin Bashir in 1995. Instead of having a household of staff raising her children, she made sure she was entrenched in William and Harry's lives. Harry has never doubted his mother's love and he's making sure Archie and Lilibet experience every ounce of that care through him — it's a way for Diana's legacy to live on. 'I can still feel the hugs that she used to give us,' Harry said in the 2017 TV documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy. 'I miss that feeling. I miss having that mother to give you those hugs and that compassion that everyone needs.'Best of SheKnows Celebrity Parents Who Are So Proud of Their LGBTQ Kids Recent Baby & Toddler Product Recalls Every Parent and Caregiver Should Know About These Podcasts for Parents of Teens Will Make You Feel Seen
