JADE hints at Little Mix reunion as she wows at first solo concert at Radio 1's Big Weekend
Jade Thirlwall hinted at a Little Mix reunion while performing the girl group's 2018 hit 'Wasabi' at Radio 1's Big Weekend.
The 'Angel of My Dreams' singer played her debut solo show at the youth radio station's annual gathering, which took place at Liverpool's Sefton Park this weekend.
As well as doing a medley of their greatest hits - 'Shout Out to My Ex', 'Sweet Melody', 'Woman Like Me' and 'Touch' - earlier in the set on Sunday (25.05.25), while performing 2018's 'Wasabi', JADE switched the lyrics to: "I bet they gonna break up ... It's a hiatus!"
The lyric swap suggests the girls - also including Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock - have plans to get back together after going on an indefinite break in 2022.
JADE - who has ditched her last name for her solo career - also thanked her bandmates for getting her where she is today.
She said: "Guys do you remember I was in a girl band, oh gosh you're still going, I just want to say I love the Little Mix girls with all my heart.
"I'm so so grateful to the girls. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here today on my own. So shout out Little Mix!"
The set saw JADE deliver the live debut of unreleased solo song 'Plastic Box'.
JADE is set to release her debut solo album, 'That's Showbiz Baby!', on September 12.
Despite their huge fame and earnings, Little Mix were rocked by Jesy Nelson's decision to quit the group in December 2020.
Leigh-Anne previously said the remaining three members of the band secretly sought therapy after Jesy's abrupt exit.
She said in her autobiography 'Believe': 'It was a complex and painful thing to come to terms with. We all felt it, that pain and sadness. 'The whole thing felt like a weird break-up, and I wasn't prepared for it."

According to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column, Jade said: "Something that Jordan taught me, whenever I'm feeling anxious or my self-saboteur is coming out, Jordan is always like, 'Just think of Little Jade, and look at what you've achieved. "'Little Jade from South Shields has done this? That's crazy'. That's always stuck with me. I have words of affirmation in my bedroom and one of them says, 'Little Jade is really proud of you'. "Any time I feel like s*** that really gets me through." Jade explained that Jordan's words of encouragement have helped her just as much as self-help books. She said: "I feel like you read every self-help book, you have therapy, you speak to people but sometimes you forget about yourself. "You forget that there was a little version of yourself and if they were watching what you've done with your life now they would be like, 'Oh my gosh, I never thought I could achieve this'."

Jesy Nelson brings babies home from hospital
Jesy Nelson has finally brought her twins home from hospital. The former Little Mix singer and partner Zion Foster welcomed daughters Ocean and Story into the world on 15 May, over eight weeks before their due date, and were being treated in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), but the couple were delighted to have their girls discharged ahead of Jesy's 34th birthday on Saturday (14.06.25). Sharing a photo of herself looking at her daughters - who wore personalised babygros featuring the slogan 'Happy birthday mummy' - Jesy wrote on Instagram: "My babies made it home for my birthday [teary and white heart emoji] (sic)" The Boyz singer announced her daughters had been born a few days after their birth. She wrote on Instagram at the time: "So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days. It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We've never felt more in love. "Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. (sic)" Jesy's Instagram post also included photos of herself and Zion cradling their baby girls. Two weeks ago, Jesy - who was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, which can put one or both babies at risk, during her pregnancy - opened up about how heartbroken she has been to have such little physical contact with her children while they were in NICU. She wrote alongside a photo of her cradling both babies while Zion beamed at the camera: "Nothing or no one will ever be able to prepare you as a parent for NICU. It's the most scary overwhelming feeling of emotions not being able to feel like you can protect your babies. Naturally as a mother you just want to hold them and comfort them when they cry but you can't because there are what feels like a million wires coming out of them and tubes and masks in the way with people poking and prodding them it breaks your heart into a million pieces." The photo marked the first time the tots hadn't been in separate incubators. She added: "But slowly as the days go by and they get stronger and wires start to come away, moments like this feel like a dream. Having them reunited for the first time ever today was the most magical feeling I will never be able to describe. Holly Johnson 'felt there was homophobia involved' in Relax banning
Holly Johnson "felt there was homophobia" involved after the BBC temporarily banned 'Relax'. The Frankie Goes to Hollywood frontman believes it was "a bit of a storm in a teacup" when the then-BBC Radio 1 DJ Mike Read branded the lyrics of the gay anthem as scandalous. The corporation then banned the song from playing on the radio and TV for a few weeks in early 1984, before eventually lifting the censorship as the track rose to number one on the UK Singles Chart, where it stayed for five weeks. Holly, 65, told The i newspaper: "I felt there was homophobia involved, and they let their imaginations run wild with themselves thinking, because I'm gay, 'It's all about gay sex, and we can't have that.' "There's no reference to gay sex, really, in the record." Holly believes the situation was totally overblown by the BBC. The music star said: "I thought it was a bit of a storm in a teacup." 'Relax' was a massive hit, and the band - formed of Holly, Paul Rutherford, Mark O'Toole, Brian Nash and Peter Gill - continued their success with the release of 'Two Tribes' later in 1984. The track spent nine weeks at number one in the UK Singles Chart, and the group's feet "didn't touch the ground" with the constant touring and TV interview appearances. He said: "I entertained the idea for a while after, but it seems to have gone away now."
