Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders issued citation for driving over 100 mph

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders was pulled over and issued a citation early Tuesday morning for allegedly driving over 100 mph.
According to Strongsville police records obtained by The Athletic, Sanders was pulled over at 12:24 a.m. on June 17. Police say he was driving 101 mph on 71 North, 41 miles over the speed limit. He can appear in court to fight the ticket or pay a fine.

Sanders was considered a potential first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft but ended up a fifth-round selection by the Browns. He is competing with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel as well as veterans Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco for the starting quarterback job in Cleveland.
The Browns wrapped up mandatory minicamp last week. Training camp begins in late July with rookies reporting on July 18 and veterans reporting on July 22.
