Even worse, when the character's on a different app, like Abby in this NCIS scene.
Suggested by u/Foxterriers
Similarly, when characters text using a non-messaging app, like in School of Rock, when an audience member "texts" someone using a blank document:

Qui-Gon's communicator from The Phantom Menace, which is obviously a Gillette Razor:
And Anakin's backpack from the same film, which looked like the backpack every other kid had at the time:
Speaking of The Phantom Menace — when you could tell this guy in the background was DEFINITELY not Samuel L. Jackson:

Mom-to-Be Refuses to Agree to Husband's 'Unique' Baby Names from Favorite Fantasy Novel
A pregnant woman says she and her husband are at odds over what to name their baby In a post shared to Reddit, the woman writes that the couple has been "discussing (arguing about) a name for the last 8 months" The problem? She wants something classic, while her husband wants something "unique" from one of his favorite works of fictionA soon-to-be mom says she isn't interested in compromising on a baby name with her husband, who wants something "unique." In a post shared to Reddit, the anonymous 31-year-old writes that she and her husband still don't know the sex of their baby, but have been "discussing (arguing about) a name for the last 8 months." "Now I'm afraid there is going to be a tug of war at the hospital over the birth certificate," she writes. "Stylistically, we want very different things." "I like 'classic' names," she explains. "To give a few examples for a boy's name: Martin, Silas, Calvin. My husband prefers more unique names — he suggested both Artemis and Entrari from his favorite work of fiction." The woman writes that she is not interested in naming the child "after a fictional assassin and he doesn't want to name his child after 'an old man.'" "Combining one 'old man' name with one 'unique name/fictional reference' seems to create a really weird-sounding combination and we are both arguing over the first name anyway," she continues. While she would love for them to both be "happy with the child's name," her husband "hates every single name I suggest," and vice versa. "I do feel as though I should have a little more influence over the name, if only because he automatically gets the child's last name, no questions asked," she continues. After months of arguing, she presented her husband with a compromise, telling him "that the child could have whatever name he picked out, on the condition that they get my maiden last name." However, he "refused," which she knew would happen. "I don't actually expect them to have my last name. I was just trying to express that I understand how important the last name is and I would accept his first name suggestion if I had the privilege of automatically assuming the last name," she explains. Now, the mom-to-be says she is "getting less and less excited about the arrival of the child, because it is surrounded by disagreement after disagreement." "I feel like I'm not getting to name the child something that means a lot to me, names that I have had in my notes app since I was in high school," she writes. "He said that he doesn't want to sigh (out of distaste) every time he has to call out this child's name." Fellow Reddit users weighed in on the baby-naming debacle, with many siding with the poster, emphasizing that they are "naming a person, not forcing the world to play 'guess the reference' with his favorite literary properties." One person suggested the couple each "create a list of baby names you think the other person would like." "Emphasize that you get he likes unique names, but he needs to consider your tastes as well," the person explains. "See if you can come up with a list of 'cool names' that you think he would like that aren't distasteful to you, and ask that he do the same." "Are there characters from books, comics, movies he likes that have more traditional names? Are there 'vintage' or 'classic' names that are more unique and don't sound so old-fashioned?" the commenter continued. "There is definitely room for compromise here if both of you agree that the other's opinions are important as well." Read the original article on People

Man Says His Girlfriend Is ‘Hurt' He's Going to His Son's Birthday Party Because His Ex-Wife Will Be There
A man's girlfriend doesn't want him to attend his son's birthday party because his ex-wife will be there He and his ex-wife divorced two years ago, but co-parent their two kids without any "big conflict" Reddit users were bewildered that the man felt he had to think about attending his son's partyA man has turned to the internet because his girlfriend is upset that he wants to attend his son's birthday party, all because his ex-wife will be there. In a post on Reddit's 'Am I the A------' forum, the father, 36, explained that he shares two children, age 8 and 5, with his ex-wife, whom he divorced two years ago. is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! 'There is no big conflict between me and my ex-wife and there has never been one apart of the occasional disagreements about the shared bank account of the kids,' he wrote. 'No big of a deal, just small issues. The only contact I have with my ex is whenever something has to be arranged for the kids." The man said that his son wants to have a party with six of his friends for his upcoming birthday. His ex-wife made the arrangements as he will be at her home on the day of the celebration. 'He wants to go to a big playground,' the man said of his son, adding that it was about 12.5 miles away. 'My son came up to me and asked if I would attend his party and drive half of his friends to the playground and be there when he celebrates his birthday with his friends,' he continued. 'I said yes because I feel like I can't say no to this request.' However, his girlfriend is upset that he wants to attend the party because his ex-wife will be there. 'She doesn't understand why I have to be there. My son will be playing with his friends leaving me with his mother to sit and wait,' he wrote. 'According to her, we will be giving off 'happy family vibes' which hurt her feelings. She says I'm loyal to my ex and I should have my priorities with her. ' The man said he told his girlfriend that he wanted to be there for his son and himself. 'I want to be the kind of father who is part of my kids' memories. I don't want to be the father who was never there because I let my dislike for my kids' mother prevail,' he wrote. He asked the forum if he was wrong to attend the party, and the consensus was bewilderment that the question had to be asked. 'She asked why are you going to your son's birthday.... read that you wanna be with that????' a commentator wrote. Others noted that the girlfriend was exhibiting 'red flags galore.' 'This whole situation screams jealousy and insecurity. Prioritizing your kids' happiness over her feelings is the right move. A healthy partner would support your role as a father, not undermine it,' a poster wrote. Others were more blunt in their assessment of him. 'He's an a—--- just for asking reddit,' the commentator wrote. Read the original article on People
