Former BJP MP's son dies by suicide in Rajasthan's Udaipur
A former MP's son allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room in a library in Rajasthan's Udaipur, police said on Saturday.
Ashish Bhagora, the son of former BJP MP from Salumbar Mahaveer Bhagora, was a library operator in Amba Mata area and was living in a room of the library for some time. On Saturday morning, he was found dead in his room.
The body was lying on the ground and a piece of cloth was hanging from the ceiling.
"Prima facie, he hanged himself from the ceiling last night and the body later fell on the ground. The body was shifted to the mortuary of the government hospital for postmortem," police said.
His father Mahaveer Bhagora died due to corona infection in 2021.
The matter came to light when some students reached the library and called him. When there was no response, they somehow entered the room and found him dead.
The matter is being investigated to ascertain the causes of the suicide, the police said.

The Amritsar Commissionerate Police dismantled a Pakistan-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror module being operated by UK-based handler Dharam Singh alias Dharma Sandhu with the arrest of a local operative. They also recovered six sophisticated foreign-made pistols from his possession. Director General of Police, Punjab, Gaurav Yadav said that the arrested accused has been identified as Onkar Singh alias Nawab, a resident of Jalalusma village in Amritsar. The weapons, smuggled via drones from across the Indo-Pak border, include four 9 mm Glock pistols and two .30 bore PX5 pistols. Yadav said that the foreign-based handler Dharam Singh alias Dharma Sandhu, who has been operating the terror module, is a close associate of Pak-based terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda. Further investigations is underway to establish forward and backward linkages in the case and unearth the broader network, he said. Sharing operation details, Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said. "The accused disclosed during interrogation that the weapons were delivered via drones and were meant for disruptive activities," he added. He said that preliminary investigations revealed the accused was part of a sleeper cell activated by foreign-based handlers to destabilise the state. "The weapons were to be distributed among local operatives to execute targeted killings and terror activities in the State," he said. A case was also registered on June 21 under section 25 of the Arms Act at Police Station Maqboolpura in Amritsar. In a separate operation on June 21, the Amritsar Rural Police intercepted a separate consignment from Lopoke village, as Lovepreet Singh alias Love and Balwinder Singh alias Bobby were arrested and one PX5 (.30 bore) pistol, 6.15 kg of heroin and Rs 10,000 in suspected narco-funds were recovered from them. A case was registered at the Lopoke police station. While earlier this month, eight foreign-made weapons, including four PX5 pistols made in Turkey, were recovered on June 5 from Sukhchain Singh of Daoke and Jugraj Singh of Bhakna Kalan by the Amritsar police as the two alleged accused. These weapons were allegedly dropped by a drone sent by a Pakistan-based handler, Noor.

Meghalaya honeymoon murder: Indore property dealer held for concealing evidence
INDORE: The Meghalaya police have arrested a property dealer from Indore for allegedly concealing crucial evidence in the case of murder of local businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, an official said on Sunday. The property dealer allegedly concealed a bag belonging to Raghuvanshi's wife Sonam, who hid it in a flat here after the incident, according to police sources. Indore-based transport businessman Raghuvanshi married Sonam on May 11 here and the couple left for their honeymoon in Meghalaya on May 20. Raghuvanshi went missing on May 23 and his mutilated body was recovered on June 2 from a deep gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra area of East Khasi Hills district, also known as Cherrapunji. Sonam, accused of conspiring with her alleged lover to kill her husband, surrendered on June 8 before police in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur district, while four other accused have been arrested from different locations in MP and UP. "The Meghalaya police have arrested Shilom James, a property businessman from Indore, for allegedly hiding evidence related to Raja Raghuvanshi murder case," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotiya told PTI. James is accused of concealing a bag belonging Sonam at a flat in Indore's Dewas Naka locality after the killing. The bag is believed to have contained key evidence linked to the murder, according to sources. The flat was rented out to murder co-accused Vishal Chauhan by James, who runs a property management firm in Indore, they said.
