Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mission to make India a developed nation by 2047 would thus be accomplished, he said.While addressing 'Youth Townhall' on ONOE at Rudraksh Convention Centre here on Sunday, he said frequent elections bring many problems to the country, from which it should be liberated.
"Our goal is to make India a developed nation by 2047. All speed breakers like frequent elections should be removed to meet that objective," said Bansal, appealing to the youths to launch mega public campaign for ONOE.With ONOE, he said, there would be more development and less politics, creating more opportunities for the new generation. The youth should advance this initiative to make it a people's movement, as frequent elections disrupt country's development and welfare schemes. Frequent elections create an atmosphere of division in society. He said ONOE was not Modi's or political party's agenda, adding that it would save the country money that could be invested in development.In every election, millions of govt employees are assigned election duties, affecting their regular work, while imposition of the model code of conduct repeatedly halts development work. He said ONOE would give govt a clear five-year period to advance
development projects

He mentioned how frequent elections create difficulties for the central and state govts in policy-making and decision-making. If administrative machinery is busy conducting elections and preparing voter lists, good governance and welfare work for poor are affected, leading to policy paralysis.Bansal said a high-level committee had been formed by govt to discuss all aspects of this bill.
The committee sought suggestions from a total of 62 political parties, with 47 parties responding. He referred to how a huge amount could be saved with ONOE and utilised to increase the country's GDP.Dynastic parties might face challenges, but voting once every five years would enhance the power of the vote, he said, adding that good governance would be promoted in administration. "Pollution caused during electioneering, including air and noise pollution, and others by using a large amount of posters, banners, and other promotional materials, can also be checked with ONOE," he said, adding that time and energy of govt machinery as well as the general public would also be saved.Bansal also spoke about Operation Sindoor, followed by killing of innocent civilians by terrorists in Pahalgam and said, "We have seen how India's brave army is targeting those who attack India's dignity. The entire nation is standing with the PM and our armed forces. Everyone wants India to teach Pakistan a lesson and the whole world has seen that if anyone provokes India, it will not spare them," he added.Earlier, Padma Bhushan Prof Devi Prasad Dwivedi highlighted how ONOE was in the interest of the country and its people. Chairing the event, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University Vice Chancellor Prof Bihari Lal Sharma termed ONOE as a solution against the wastage of the country's resources made on conducting frequent elections. The event was also addressed by international athletes Priyanka Singh Patel and Renu Singh.Important among others present were, BJP Kashi region unit president Dilip Patel, UP ministers Ravindra Jaiswal, Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu, Mayor Ashok Tiwari, city Pradeep Agrahari, MLC Hansraj Vishwakarma, MLAs Neelkanth Tiwari, Saurabh Srivastava and Awadhesh Singh.

INS Tamal, India's last imported warship, to be commissioned on July 1

The Indian Navy is all set to commission its latest stealth multi-role frigate INS Tamal on July 1 at Kaliningrad in Russia. This will be the last warship of Indian Navy to have been built outside India and the eighth in the series of Krivak class frigates inducted from Russia over the past two decades. The ceremony will be presided over by Western Naval Commander Vice Admiral Sanjay J. Singh in the presence of several high-ranking Indian and Russian government and defence officials. INS Tamal has been built at Yantar Shipyard in Kaliningrad, Russia, and is the last warship to be inducted from a foreign source, in line with the Government of India's impetus on 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India' initiatives. India, as part of the broader contract for Tushil class, is also building two similar frigates called the Triput class at Goa Shipyard Limited with transfer of technology and design assistance from the Russian side. By the conclusion of this series of ships, Indian Navy will be operating 10ships with similar capabilities and commonality in equipment, weapon and sensor fit over four different classes. The ship has 26 percent indigenous components, including the BrahMos long range cruise missile for targeting both at sea and land. The vessel has significant upgrades in its arsenal in comparison to its predecessors. The crew, comprising of over 250 personnel have undergone rigorous ashore as well as afloat training in extremely challenging winter conditions of St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad in Russia. INS Tamal has successively completed extensive sea trials undertaken over three months, proving its systems, weapons and sensors. The 125m long, 3900-ton warship, packs a lethal punch as it features an impressive blend of Indian and Russian cutting-edge technologies and best practices in warship construction. The ship's new design provides it with enhanced stealth features and greater stability characteristics. The number of Made-in-India systems have more than doubled to 33. Upon commissioning, INS Tamal will join the 'Sword Arm' of the Indian Navy, the Western Fleet, under the Western Naval Command.

The missions organised the first batch of evacuation from Israel as the Indian nationals living in Israel constantly grappled with the sounds of sirens, frequently taking cover in bunkers and fortified safe rooms from incoming missiles and drones from Iran. After completing immigration and border formalities at the Israel-Jordanian border, the group proceeded to Amman Airport , another 120 kilometres ride. Arvind Shukla, a researcher from Hebrew University who was evacuated on Sunday morning, praised "the smooth and carefully planned process" by the embassy under "difficult circumstances", and told PTI: "I have completed the visa process and have already moved to the Jordanian side. The embassy was extremely helpful in facilitating our journey, and we were looked after well." The Israeli and Jordanian governments extended crucial support in ensuring the safe and orderly transit of Indian nationals across the border, the mission in Tel Aviv said. The Embassy of India in Jordan played a key role in receiving the evacuees at the border to further facilitate their onward journey to Amman Airport, it said. Special flights from Amman to New Delhi have been arranged by the Ministry of External Affairs to safely fly Indian nationals home. Some flights are also planned to leave from Egypt in the coming days, as there are many Indians living in the south of Israel. "These efforts reflect not only India's growing global stature but also its operational readiness and deep sense of responsibility toward its diaspora," an embassy official said. "The Government of India continues to accord the highest priority to the safety and security of Indian nationals abroad. The government will continue to monitor the situation closely. The embassy remains continuously in touch with the community to extend all feasible assistance," the official said. The Indian mission in Israel once again reached out to its citizens on Sunday to register for ongoing updates and assistance, and provided a 24/7 helpline number. There are over 40,000 Indian nationals in Israel working as caregivers, construction workers, students, professionals and others.
