Man denies breaching restraining order against ex-007 producer Barbara Broccoli

Daniel Wilson, 36, was prohibited from contacting Broccoli by the order that was put in place at Isleworth Crown Court on July 3 2017.
Wilson, of Mostyn Road, Lambeth, appeared on video link and pleaded not guilty to each charge at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday.

Broccoli, 64, and Michael G Wilson, 83, produced the James Bond franchise after the death of Albert 'Cubby' Broccoli until it was announced in February this year that Amazon MGM Studios will gain creative control.
It is alleged that Wilson acted in breach of the restraining order by attempting to contact Broccoli 'without reasonable excuse' on 11 dates between April 2022 and April last year.
The court heard Wilson, who wore glasses and a patterned jacket during the hearing, is currently staying in hospital.
Bail conditions had been put in place at an earlier hearing and Judge Sally-Ann Hales KC ordered that they will continue.
She told Wilson he cannot 'be in possession of any device that can access the internet' or contact Broccoli directly or indirectly.
He must also live and sleep each night in a location directed by the NHS, she said.

His trial was set for July 19 2027 and Judge Hales added: 'I'm afraid that is the earliest date that the court can accommodate.'
She granted that Broccoli can give evidence behind screens 'given the a nature of the allegations'.
Wilson is charged with acting in breach of the restraining order on April 1, April 19, May 19, May 25, June 30 and July 6 2022.
He is also accused of doing so on March 10, April 12, April 17, April 20 and April 22 2024.
The 007 franchise had been controlled by members of the Broccoli family, either single-handedly or in partnership with others, since the first 007 movie Dr No in 1962.
Broccoli and her half-brother Wilson produced the last nine Bond films, including Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Spectre and No Time To Die.
They have been honoured with CBEs, and won the outstanding British film Bafta for 2012's Skyfall along with director Sir Sam Mendes.
Amazon gained creative control of the British spy franchise following a deal which saw Eon Productions, run by Wilson and Broccoli, become co-owners with Amazon MGM Studios.

British man arrested at Disneyland Paris after trying to marry girl, 9, in private wedding

A private event had been organised to take place in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at the theme park, but Disney cast members were alerted by the sight of a child. A British man has been arrested at Disneyland Paris after an apparent attempt to wed a nine-year-old girl in a private ceremony. Disney staff alerted authorities after spotting the 22-year-old man with a young girl, who was wearing four-inch heels taped to her feet and accompanied by her Ukrainian mother, at a private event held at 5am on Saturday, before the park opened to the public. The wedding was scheduled to occur at dawn in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle, reports the Mirror. The French venue had been rented for a wedding, but the organisers did not disclose their plans to Disney. According to reports from BFM TV in France, Disneyland Paris was misled about the event's nature. The organiser allegedly impersonated a Latvian national and used fraudulent documents to secure the contract for the park's privatisation. Reports suggest guests were recruited online through advertisements seeking 200 adults and 100 children aged between five and 15 to act as attendees at a 'rehearsal' for a Disneyland wedding. BFM obtained video footage showing approximately 100 seated guests awaiting the ceremony while a female violin trio performed at dawn on a stage adorned with flowers. The event reportedly cost around £110,000. "Four people were arrested and questioned: the groom, who was believed to be the organiser of the event and is presumed to be British, aged 22; the mother of the child, a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman; and two Latvian nationals aged 55 and 24", according to a statement from the prosecutor's office in the nearby town of Meaux, France. The 55-year-old Latvian man alleges he was hired to impersonate the bride's father for 12,000 euros, only to discover at the last minute she was nine years old, as per local news reports. Disneyland Paris informed French newspaper Le Parisien its team promptly shut down the event and prevented guests from entering the venue. The nature of the wedding remains uncertain, whether it was a publicity stunt or an actual ceremony. A medical examination revealed that the young girl had not been subjected to any violence, stated the prosecutor's office. A police source indicated the groom claims to be the head of a production company and they were filming a video. An updated statement from the prosecutor's office clarified: "So it wasn't a wedding, but a staged wedding filmed with around a hundred extras. They privatised Disneyland Paris, pretending it was a real wedding." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Two suspects have been charged with 'fraud and breach of trust' against Disneyland Paris. One guest at the wedding told Le Parisien: "We all thought we were going to attend a wedding... Everyone was stunned, no one expected it. Disneyland did things very well. "They canceled everything as soon as they realised the bride was a child. We were shocked to see that." Another guest, Yeleen, who attended the ceremony with her daughter, recounted: "I saw a little girl dressed in white. I saw her hair prepared with curls and a lady picking her up in her arms. "At that moment, I was shocked. I realised when I saw the child. It was atrocious."

Film crew spotted in Benidorm and it leaves sitcom fans with same theory

When one man saw film crews working their magic in Benidorm, he and other desperate fans all jumped to the same sitcom-related conclusion - but some disputed it Rumours are circulating in Benidorm that something exciting is happening – and it's all about the TV show of the same name. The last series of Benidorm aired in the UK in 2018. For those not in the know, Benidorm is a sitcom that focuses on the adventures of a group of British holidaymakers staying at the Solana holiday resort in Spain. Back in April, fans started speculating that the show would be making a comeback, despite the fact that the creator, Derren Litten, confirmed in 2019 that the tenth series would be the last. But when a TikToker spotted a film crew in Benidorm, he jumped to the conclusion that they must be filming the elusive 11th series. ‌ Harry, a Brit in Benidorm who posts on TikTok as @harrytokky, wrote over the top of a video of a film crew on the strip: "Breaking news. Film crews are filming right now in Benidorm outside the Red Lion". ‌ At the bottom of the video, he penned: "Wait... are they filming Benidorm series 11 right now?! What do you think?" He showed the camera crew filming, as he gushed: "Holy moly, this is unbelievable". In the short clip, someone in the background could be heard saying they thought it was Benidorm series 11. However, in the comments, people were sceptical, and one woman even put the rumour to bed with the information she'd managed to get from film crews. "I doubt they'd film in peak season," a sceptic wrote, but someone shared: "Another 4 weeks until peak season. They film in the 'Solana' with people on holiday there. They just close off one end of the pool". "They use the tourists as extras in Benidorm, it's well known," another man alleged. ‌ Others shared that it couldn't be Benidorm, because none of the beloved actors could be seen in the video. One fumed: "Not hard to tell if it's Benidorm or not." And another penned: "Not to be a Debbie Downer, but Benidorm hasn't officially been commissioned, so unless this is for an announcement ad (which I highly doubt), it's not Benidorm unfortunately". But someone argued, saying: "Makes sense it would be Benidorm though, cause Darren and all the main cast have been cryptic as f*** lately online trying to hint to the fans about a season 11 coming, wouldn't talk about it if there was no chance and now this. I'd say it's likely I can't lie". However, others said they'd seen the crew themselves and stopped to ask more questions. One tourist claimed: "We were walking down before and my dad asked the light crew. They said they can't say what it is but it's a Spanish program!!!!!" Meanwhile, someone else alleged: "They're making a film, not Benidorm. I asked them last night."

Around 200 guests are expected to attend the wedding of the 61-year-old Amazon founder and 55-year-old journalist fiancée. Ahead of the wedding in Venice, local activists displayed large protest banners, reading 'No Space for Bezos' and 'If You Can Rent Venice for Your Wedding You Can Pay More Tax'. They have also staged canal-blocking and waterside protests in a bid to stop the world's richest man from tying the knot in their city. Toninello told a crowd of 300 people: "Bezos will never get to the Misericordia", adding, "We will line the streets with our bodies, block the canals with lifesavers, dinghies and our boats." Protesters say tourism in Venice has driven housing costs sky-high, forcing many locals out of the region. But the couple's wedding organisers, Lanza & Baucina Limited, earlier hit back at suggestions that the couple's lavish wedding plans are not respectful of locals. The organisers said in a statement to Page Six: "From the outset, instructions from our client and our own guiding principles were abundantly clear: the minimising of any disruption to the city, the respect for its residents and institutions and the overwhelming employment of locals in the crafting of the events." The wedding planning company has worked with stars like George and Amal Clooney, as well as Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault. $500m superyacht, $32k-night-hotels & a $2m ring… inside the Bezos wedding of the century in world's most beautiful city Bezos proposed to Sánchez in 2023 aboard the yacht, presenting her with a 20-carat pink diamond ring worth $2.5 million. The luxury vessel, Koru - named after the Māori word for 'loop' or 'coil' - symbolises new beginnings. Measuring 417 feet in length with three towering masts over 230 feet high, Koru is currently the world's largest sailing yacht, according to Boat International. The superyacht can reach speeds of up to 17 knots per hour, powered by twin, 1,500hp MTU diesel engines. It cruises comfortably at 15 knots - about 2.25 knots faster than the average for similar vessels. Said to have been first commissioned by Bezos in 2018, the yacht was built by Dutch yacht maker Oceanco near Rotterdam and delivered to Gibraltar in April 2023. The superyacht's support vessel reportedly added another $75 million to the already staggering $500 million cost. Its exterior design was completed by Dutch company Dykstra Naval Architects, while London-based company Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi completed its interior design. Koru can host up to 18 guests in nine staterooms, along with around 36 crew members. Its full features remain unclear, but Architectural Digest reports that Koru includes multiple outdoor lounging areas, three jacuzzis and a swimming pool.
