Germany Withdraws Embassy Staff from Iran
Israa Farhan Germany's Foreign Ministry has temporarily withdrawn its diplomatic staff from the embassy in Tehran as tensions between Iran and Israel escalate into open conflict, according to German public broadcaster ARD. The move comes amid growing security concerns following direct military exchanges between Israel and Iran, prompting several Western nations to reassess their diplomatic presence in the region. According to ARD, embassy officials were relocated outside Iran, while family members of the diplomatic team had already left the country earlier. The German Foreign Ministry stated that the decision aligns with similar precautionary measures taken by allied nations and is being carried out in close coordination with them. Despite the evacuation, the German Embassy in Tehran remains operational through mobile units and continues to provide consular services to German nationals who remain in or visit Iran. Germans currently in Iran have been advised to explore overland routes for potential departure, should the security situation worsen further. Germany's move follows similar announcements by the United Kingdom and Switzerland, both of which confirmed the closure of their embassies in Tehran on Friday in response to the rapidly deteriorating regional environment. The withdrawal underscores the rising risk posed by the ongoing hostilities, as concerns grow over the potential for a broader conflict in the Middle East. In recent days, Iran and Israel have exchanged missile attacks, raising fears of a prolonged escalation that could threaten diplomatic staff and foreign nationals in the region. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean News 3 Killed in Shooting Attack in Thailand

Juventus extend Adidas partnership to 2037 in $468 million deal
(Reuters) - Juventus have extended their technical partnership with German sportswear giant Adidas until June 2037, in a deal worth 408 million euros ($468 million) over a decade, the Serie A club said in a statement. The current agreement between the two parties, which runs until June 2027, will remain unchanged, the Italian club said. The new contract will then take effect from the 2027-2028 season and cover all Juventus teams until the end of the 2036-2037 season. "This renewal fills us with pride and testifies to the synergy between these two great companies," said Maurizio Scanavino, Juventus Chief Executive Officer. Juventus, famed for their black and white shirts, said the valuation for the new agreement does not include additional royalties for exceeding certain sales volumes or variable components linked to sporting results. "We're delighted to extend our partnership with the most decorated club in Italian football for a further 10 years," said Sam Handy, General Manager of Adidas Football. Juventus have won the Italian league title more than any other rival club. Juventus and Adidas joined forces from the 2015/2016 season. The German sportswear group has a long-term partnership in place with English Premier League club Manchester United which runs until 2035, and also works with other teams including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Juventus said last month that U.S. carmaker Jeep will pay 69 million euros to become its main shirt sponsor until June 2028.
