A seven-time Super Bowl winner, five-time Super Bowl MVP and three-time NFL MVP — among many other accomplishments — Brady has won it all in his legendary 23-year pro career.
Before Brady established himself as the greatest NFL player of all time, however, there was one player whom many considered as the greatest: San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice.
In fact, back in 2010 when the NFL released its top 100 list of the league's greatest players, Rice landed at No. 1.

Brady, for his part, has nothing but admiration for Rice. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback made that abundantly clear during the Fanatics Fest, while he was opening a pack of sports cards on Friday.

After he pulled a Rice card from the pack, Brady couldn't help but look back at his younger days when he was watching the wide receiving icon. Not only did the 47-year-old Brady say he was the biggest Rice fan, but he also loved the Niners because of him.
"Gotta love me a Jerry Rice," Brady said while showing the Rice card he got. He then proceeded to say that the 13-time Pro Bowler is the "best receiver of all time."
For what it's worth, Jerry Rice himself has shown great respect toward Tom Brady in the past as well. In 2021 after TB12 won his seventh Super Bowl ring, Rice appeared to pass the GOAT torch to Brady.

"When you got seven rings, you're doing something right," Rice said at the time, per Bleacher Report. "I think with Brady, he still wants to play. He said something about playing until he's 45. I think he can do it now in this league because players are so much more protected. So, yeah, he can have that GOAT status. I never wanted that status anyhow."
It is interesting to note that Rice also replied to Brady's statement in the comments section of Topps' video on Instagram, saying, "Thanks G.O.A.T."
Indeed, greatness recognizes greatness, and Brady and Rice have certainly shown that.

(AP Photo/Jeff Chiu) San Francisco Giants reliever Sean Hjelle has been accused of abuse by his wife, and MLB is now investigating the allegations, according to a statement the Giants put out Saturday. According to The Mercury News, Hjelle said Saturday that he doesn't have an official comment at the moment but that he'll eventually make a statement after speaking with his agent and lawyer. Advertisement Hjelle's wife, Caroline Hjelle, posted a TikTok on Friday of her with the couple's two children. The video's caption read, "When my MLB husband abandons us on Mother's Day a week after this [video was taken] once I finally found about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse, so I've been raising two boys alone." The Giants said in their statement Saturday that they are 'aware of these serious allegations' and have been in contact with MLB, which is looking into the situation. 'Obviously we're aware of it,' Giants manager Bob Melvin said before the Giants' 3-2 win over the Boston Red Sox Saturday, via The Associated Press. 'He told me about it last night. We talked to MLB. At this point, it's in their jurisdiction right now so I really can't comment on it further." Advertisement Melvin also said before the game Saturday that Hjelle would be available to pitch. He didn't make an appearance, however. Hjelle, a 28-year-old righty, made his debut with the Giants in 2022. The organization drafted him in the second round in 2018. This season, Hjelle is 1-1 with a 4.66 ERA in six outings, the most recent of which took place Friday night in a 7-5 loss to the Red Sox. Hjelle was responsible for the defeat after allowing a tie-breaking home run to center fielder Ceddanne Rafaela in the sixth inning.
