Report – PSG Inching Towards Extending Contract Of Inter Milan Target
PSG are inching towards agreeing a new contract for Inter Milan-linked goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the parties are moving forward in talks, although there is still work for them to do.

At the moment, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until the end of next June.
The Italian international is still on the same five-year deal he signed in 2021. That was when he joined on a free transfer from AC Milan.

Should Donnarumma not sign a contract extension with PSG, he will be available on a free transfer in twelve months' time.
That would certainly present a tempting opportunity for a number of clubs.
Inter Milan are certainly among the clubs to have shown an interest. The Nerazzurri are no strangers to big name free transfers – and Donnarumma would certainly be a major replacement for Yann Sommer.

However, for Inter, everything would be dependent on Gianluigi Donnarumma leaving PSG for free next summer.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Parisians are very much working to tie the 26-year-old on a new deal.
There is still no agreement on an extension with Donnarumma. However, the negotiations are ongoing, and according to Sky, making progress.

NBA star Kevin Durant has purchased a minority stake in Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain, the French soccer club said Friday. Qatar Sports Investments, PSG's majority shareholder, signed an investment and strategic partnership agreement with Durant, the club said in a statement. Financial terms were not disclosed. The announcement comes amid talks between the NBA, FIBA and other entities about the potential of adding a new league in Europe. UK Athletics permanently bans coach over relationship with athlete, racist comments
UK Athletics (UKA) has permanently banned a coach from the sport after being found guilty of an intimate relationship with an athlete, sending sexually inappropriate images and racist slurs. After being charged in April, a disciplinary committee found Chris Barnes guilty of nine charges that breached the coaches code of conduct, all of which he admitted to. Advertisement A disciplinary report published by UKA showed its disciplinary panel found that between March 2019 and January 2021, Barnes conducted an intimate relationship with one of the athletes that he coached. In that same time frame, he was found guilty of sending two sexually inappropriate images and sexually explicit messages to an athlete he coached. Between February 2020 and June 2020, Barnes also conducted an intimate relationship with another athlete, having not told them he was married. The report said Barnes was also found to have made numerous racist comments between September 2013 and August 2020. 'Bloody p*** shop worker,' he said in 2020. 'It's simple, tomorrow I'll just blame the p***s for losing our license,' he said months later. The former coach and events organiser made multiple comments bringing athletics into disrepute and being demeaning over athletes' weight, including calling an athlete a 'f***ing heffer' and 'chubby f***er'. He told one athlete to run three miles all between 7.15-7.30 'or no sex ever again'. Barnes also refused to take a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check after a 15-year-old athlete joined Ribble Valley Running Club, where he was a coach. UKA's chief operating officer Tom Solesbury said: 'This was a very serious case, and we are satisfied that the outcome reflects the gravity of the behaviour involved. It demonstrates that regardless of your role or position, if you are active in our sport and your conduct falls short of the standards we expect, we will act to address it. 'The vast majority of coaches in our sport uphold the highest standards and make a hugely positive contribution to athletics — and we owe it to them, and to everyone in the sport, to ensure a safe, respectful and supportive environment for all.'

Magnus Carlsen, world chess No. 1, signs St Pauli contract extension for 2025-26 Bundesliga season
World chess No. 1 Magnus Carlsen will continue with Bundesliga team St Pauli for the 2025-26 season. Carlsen joined the German team in May 2024. Nicknamed 'the Mozart of Chess', the former world champion helped St Pauli to a 12th-placed finish in the 15-team standings, cementing their top-flight status in their debut season following promotion. I'm looking forward to the team's continued development – and to contributing to it.' Carlsen's arrival at St Pauli came with significant fanfare, his stature and reputation in chess attracting an oversubscription in interest for tickets and his matches were covered by the majority of German newspapers and several television channels. The Norwegian's arrival also meant each of the top-10 chess players in the world were playing in Germany. Both St Pauli's football team and its amateur chess team won promotion to the top-flight in 2024. Carlsen attended a St. Pauli match at their stadium, the Millerntor, when they were a struggling second-division team, and he cited the 'relaxed and joyful atmosphere' as a factor in persuading him to become a part of the club.
