Eagles host Syracuse running back on a local visit
The Philadelphia Eagles are conducting more work on running backs in the upcoming NFL Draft.
According to his Instagram story, Syracuse running back LeQuint Allen visited the NovaCare Complex this week on a pre-draft visit. Allen is a Millville, New Jersey native, so this qualifies as a local visit.

Allen is a versatile back with adequate size and speed. He's decisive and gets what he can on most carries but lacks burst, imagination and contact force to create on his own. He's a reliable pass-catching option with natural hands and an ability to run routes and find yards after the catch. His pass-protection willingness and execution stands out against others in this class. Allen's ability to cover kicks and return punts adds to his value as a potential Day 3 pick who could compete for a role as a third-down option.
Philadelphia hosted Texas RB Jaydon Blue on a top-30 visit last month, so they're clearly interested in adding more talent to their backfield. The Eagles extended Saquon Barkley this offseason and have newly signed A.J. Dillon and second-year player Will Shipley behind him.
Kenneth Gainwell was the team's primary pass-catching back on third downs last season. With Gainwell leaving for Pittsburgh in free agency, Allen's versatile skill set could help fill those snaps.
Allen posted 2,085 rushing yards and 30 total touchdowns over his final two seasons at Syracuse.

Rams have one game ranked among NFL's 25 most watchable in 2025
When looking over the Los Angeles Rams' schedule in 2025, there are three games that really stand out: at the Eagles, at the Ravens and home against the Lions. Matchups with the 49ers, Buccaneers and Falcons are also intriguing, but those are the big three that fans will be particularly excited for. recently ranked the 25 most watchable games of the upcoming season and only one Rams matchup was listed. It's not the rematch against the Eagles, either. Lions at Rams came in at No. 16 on Bill Speros' list, earning a watchability score of 56.9. The Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl rematch is No. 1, unsurprisingly, followed by Ravens-Chiefs, Eagles-Bills and Ravens-Bills. Bookies measures a game's watchability with an algorithm that factors in betting lines, projected win totals for the season, Super Bowl odds, off-field storylines and whether a game is on national TV. Rams-Lions isn't getting the prime-time spotlight that many expected it to, but it's still certainly one of the best games on the NFL's schedule in 2025.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels upsets Eagles' fans again
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels had one of the best rookie seasons in NFL history last fall. You could argue that Daniels' rookie season rivals any in professional sports history. In addition to individual success, Daniels led the Commanders to 12 wins and an appearance in the NFC championship game. It was Washington's best season in 33 years. Washington's division rival, the Philadelphia Eagles, also had an impressive rookie class last season. First-round cornerback Quinyon Mitchell and second-round corner Cooper DeJean led the Eagles' rookie class. Mitchell finished second in the voting for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Advertisement On Saturday at Fanatics Fest in New York City, Daniels was asked about the toughest cornerback to face. He was asked about Mitchell, but said he was most looking forward to facing Denver's Patrick Surtain II in 2025. Surtain won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in only his fourth season. Of course, Eagles fans found some way to be disrespected by Daniels' saying he was most looking forward to facing Surtain. The Commanders will play the Eagles twice, and the Broncos are on Washington's slate this season. Why were Philadelphia fans mad? Just read the comments, if you choose. Since the Commanders came back late in the fourth quarter to upset the Eagles in Week 16 last season — a game in which Daniels threw five touchdown passes — Philly fans have had an unhealthy obsession with Daniels. Despite all the Eagles' success, some Philadelphia fans turn their attention to Daniels, even when he's not involved. Advertisement Why? Because they know Daniels is special. The Commanders having Daniels also means that Washington is no longer a pushover. The old NFC East rivalry is back.
