once shared a piece of wisdom passed down by his mother that stayed with him forever: ' Stretch yourself beyond what you have today, and grow enough to cover that stretch tomorrow. And never ask anyone for anything. Teach this to your children as well.'

Born in a modest household in Delhi, Shah Rukh lost both his parents at a young age. Life threw its share of curveballs, but the lessons his mother Fatima had instilled in him — of self-respect, resilience, and relentless hustle — became his armor. Even when he moved to Mumbai in the early '90s, there were no godfathers waiting to launch him, no family connections to open doors.

I invest my own money, make my own films, and I invest it happily,' he said. For him, the joy lies not in chasing offers but in creating opportunities — for himself and for others.
He also added, ' I have been given so much that I can't ask for more.
I think if I ask, God will feel bad.'
And it's not as if the offers weren't there. Directors queued up, producers chased him, writers dreamt of penning roles tailored for him.
