Lorna Luxe, 42, reveals her first relationship before she met husband John, 63, was with a woman but she was 'so ashamed of being a lesbian' she hid the romance
Influencer Lorna Luxe , 42, has spilled all on the significant relationships in her life, revealing for the first time that her first major romance was with a woman.
The star, real name Lorna Andrews, is the latest guest on We Need To Talk, the podcast from Paul C Brunson, during which she discusses her hugely successful social media career as well as her 15 year marriage to husband John, 63.
But during a conversation about her romantic relationships, Lorna confessed that she was in a two year romance with a woman whilst at university, but nobody knew.
Explaining how she 'became a woman as opposed to a girl' at uni after a tricky first year trying to be independent, Lorna said she was 'fighting a lot of conflicting thoughts around that time.'
'My first major relationship at university was with a woman,' Lorna told Paul. 'I was so ashamed of, you know, being a lesbian that I hid her from my friends and everybody for a couple of years.
'My flatmate never knew, I really cared for her and I kind of screwed it up because of being afraid to be who I want to be and she got sick of it in the end and she sacked me off, fair play to her, and I mean we're still friends now but I understand why she did that, I didn't at the time.'

'It was a real important thing to happen to me because it wasn't about being gay or straight or whatever you want to label it. It was about the fact that I was somebody that could connect with anyone. I didn't define myself even at that age and that set the ball rolling for how my relationships played out when I grew up.'
Lorna would go on to have a relationship with 'a semi famous sportsman' whilst living in Brighton and working as cabin crew after university - another relationship which she says shaped her greatly.
'He was a professional sportsman with a public profile so it almost like gave me credibility, he gave me street cred,' she said. 'It was a vehicle for what I needed at the time and it was great in that sense but was I emotionally fulfilled? Not really.'
'I think what it made me realise was that I wasn't necessarily attracted to a man or a woman I was attracted to the person.'
She added that of the romances in her life, her relationship with a woman and her marriage are the only two where she has 'felt that connection to the person.'
'One's been a man one's been a woman but I think the other people I was dating was just to try and tick a box or fill a gap or fill a void.'
Lorna and John met when she was 25 and in the midst of her eight-year stint as a Virgin Atlantic air hostess, before marrying in NYC shortly after and going on to live together in Hove, East Sussex, and later Horsham and now Warwickshire.
While John previously worked as a banker, following his stage three cancer diagnosis in 2023 and Lorna's continued success as an influencer, he gave up his job to focus on his health and helping his wife work.
Last year, Lorna spoke to The Times about their relationship and how they divide their cash and work flow, saying: 'When I met him I was an air hostess on £12,000 a year. So there was definitely an imbalance of cash...
'But we just share everything, and as it's tipped over the other side, it's never been an issue. It got to the point where John going to work every day was costing us money, because we were having to turn down jobs and he couldn't take my photos...
'So we made an executive decision that he would leave the bank. It took him two years. He left in December, and then he got diagnosed with cancer in January.'
In May 2024, Lorna revealed John's cancer had moved to his brain as well as come back in his adrenal gland.
He recently had a month long stint in hospital, fighting a severe infection.

Every baby in England is to have a DNA screening to avoid fatal diseases and receive personalised healthcare as part of the government's £650m investment in DNA technology, it has been reported. All new parents are now offered a blood spot test for their babies, normally when the child is five days old, to check whether they have any of nine rare but serious conditions. The newborn's heel is pricked to collect a few drops of blood on a card that is sent away to be tested. Along with a greater focus on prevention, the 10-year plan is expected to include Streeting's other 'shifts' in the NHS, from hospitals towards more community-focused care and from analogue to digital services. Last week the chancellor, Rachel Reeves, announced that the government would increase NHS funding by £29bn a year in real terms over the next three years. A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson said: 'Our 10-year health plan will be published soon and will set out details for a range of initiatives to advance the NHS and make it fit for the future.' In October, the NHS in England announced it was to screen 100,000 newborn babies for more than 200 genetic conditions in a world-first scheme aimed at bolstering early diagnosis and treatment.

Musical Evita facing growing controversy after multiple members of the public fall ill
THE latest performance of West End musical Evita is facing a growing controversy. On Thursday evening two ambulances raced to The London Palladium after multiple members of the public fell ill - with one being whisked to hospital. Large crowds of up to 200 people gathered outside the venue for hours to see actress Rachel Zegler, 24, perform Don't Cry For Me Argentina from the balcony. But as the country baked in blistering heat members of the public struggled to cope resulting in emergency services being called just minutes before Rachel was due to belt out the hit. A source said: 'As word spreads more and more people are flocking to the Palladium to see Rachel's performance and it's turning into a bit of a nightmare. 'Crowd control is bad enough on the public street but with the heat it's becoming really dangerous. 'Ambulances were parked outside the venue for almost an hour before racing to the hospital just minutes before Rachel appeared.' A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We were called at 8.16pm yesterday to reports of a person unwell in Argyll Street, central London. 'We sent two ambulance crews to the scene. 'While treating the patient, our crews were called to help a second person who was unwell nearby.
