New York Giants' Jalin Hyatt named potential under-the-radar star
New York Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt has yet to come through with a breakout campaign, and he now enters the most crucial season of his career.
After showing some flashes during his rookie campaign in 2023, posting 23 receptions for 311 yards, Hyatt took a major step back in Year 2. The Tennessee product was a non-factor during his second season, recording just eight receptions for 62 yards.
Hoping to connect with new quarterback Russell Wilson, who is known for his deep ball, Garrett Podell of CBS Sports named Hyatt as a potential under-the-radar star for the 2025 season.
Things could be different for Hyatt in Year 3 though with the Giants moving on from Daniel Jones and bringing in three quarterbacks who love to throw deep: 10-time Pro Bowler Russell Wilson, one-time Pro Bowl quarterback Jameis Winston and 2025 25th overall pick Jaxson Dart, who led college football in yards per pass attempt (10.8) in 2024. Yes, OTAs are noncontact, but Hyatt appears to be building a nice early rapport with Wilson, who is slated to begin 2025 as the Giants starting quarterback. If New York can actually find consistency throwing deep now that Jones is gone, then perhaps Hyatt could take a major leap.
Hyatt's inability to crack the starting lineup behind Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, and Wan'Dale Robinson has limited his chances to break out. All three will be back to lead the wide receiver room again while Hyatt fights for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart.
The Giants have lacked the ability to connect on the deep ball with Daniel Jones under center. However, both Wilson and Jameis Winston have been known for their abilities to make plays down the field, which could allow Hyatt to finally make an impact.
Even though Hyatt still has two more seasons left on his rookie contract, he's likely entering the campaign that will decide the rest of his NFL career.

NFL top 100 rankings: Arizona Cardinals TE Trey McBride comes in at No. 42

Pete Prisco ranked the top 100 players of 2025 in the NFL. Only Trey McBride makes the list for the Cardinals. Every offseason, we see player rankings — top 100, top 101, top 50, whatever. Every year, we see where Arizona Cardinals players land. CBS Sports' Pete Prisco gave his top 100 list entering the 2025 season. Only one Cardinals player made the list — not Budda Baker, not James Conner. The only Cardinal to make the top 100 was tight end Trey McBride, coming in at No. 42, moving up from No. 83 a year ago. McBride finished fourth in the league with 111 catches in his breakout season. He had just two touchdown catches, which is a number that will go up this season ... count on it. McBride 100% should be on this list. He has entered the conversation as being the best tight end in the NFL. It is true that his two touchdown catches were simply fluky. He did rush for a touchdown and score once on a fumble recovery in the end zone. He was a frequent target in the red zone, but because of a couple of drops and a couple of missed throws by quarterback Kyler Murray, he didn't end up with six to eight touchdown grabs. Of course, while McBride is an easy choice for this list, two Cardinals players are notably snubbed — Baker and Conner. Baker continues to play at an elite level at safety and gets Pro Bowl nods year after year, a sign that coaches and players respect and value him. Conner's absence is disappointing because he produces among the best running backs, reaching nearly 1,100 yards last season and continuing to be a big-play runner as he advances in his career. Looking ahead to next offseason, hopefully McBride isn't alone. It would be good to see McBride, Baker, Conner, quarterback Kyler Murray and receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in Prisco's rankings in 2026. Verlander has been in a relationship with Upton since 2014, with the two tying the knot three years later in Tuscany, Italy. The couple had their first child, Genevieve, in November 2018. Tom Brady ‘spits' on Jets jersey, rips up Eli Manning one in Fanatics Fest WWE heel entrance

Tom Brady just embraced his inner villain. The legendary quarterback had the chance Friday to do a WWE entrance at Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center — and he decided to go full-blown heel. With WWE star Cody Rhodes' entrance music blaring, Brady began his entry by spitting on (or at least appearing to), discarding and stomping on a Sauce Gardner Jets jersey. For an event taking place in New York City, Brady certainly had some fun with the local football teams. 5 Tom Brady rips an Eli Manning jersey in half at Fanatics Fest NYC. X/WWE While Jets fans were reminded of their disdain for the former division rival after Brady showed up in their city and discarded a Gardner jersey, Manning and the Giants fans can likely laugh the moment off, knowing that Manning is responsible for two of Brady's three Super Bowl losses. The moment playfully reignited the NFL rivalry that saw the two legendary Super Bowl matchups, where Manning famously took down Brady both times — including once to halt Brady's Patriots from completing a perfect 19-0 season. Advertisement Widely considered as the greatest quarterback of all time, Brady went 7-3 in Super Bowls. Manning also made a WWE entrance of his own at Fanatics Fest, electing to walk out to Roman Reigns' signature — but he elected not to destroy any jerseys as Brady did. Brady's former teammate, Rob Gronkowski, has made an actual WWE appearance in the past, and with how Brady's villainous entrance looked, perhaps it could be his turn next.
