Rebel Kid aka Apoorva Mukhija reveals she was asked to evict her house after India's Got Latent controversy: ‘The cops came to summon me'
Rebel Kid aka Apoorva Mukhija was relatively lesser known when she appeared on the panel of Samay Raina's controversial show India's Got Latent with Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani. The clips from the episode were widely circulated online and soon after, there were FIRs against the panel members for using obscene language. Apoorva, who is currently a participant on Amazon Prime Video's The Traitors, recently shared that she was asked to evict her house after the police visited her building to summon her.
In a new interview shared on Mashable India, Apoorva shared, 'Because the cops came to my house to put up a notice and to summon me, the building management raised a complaint that 'cops are coming to this building, it's wrong, that's why we don't allow bachelors, that's why we don't rent out to single women'. So somehow, I was single handedly responsible for evacuating feminism out of that building. So the owner told me to leave. I stayed in that house for one year only.'

In a vlog shared after the controversy, in April, Apoorva shared that she couldn't go back to her house after the controversy as people knew where she was living and were sending threats, and she was scared of getting attacked. 'I started reading my DMs and they were all graphic of how people want to rape me, throw acid and stuff like that,' she shared at the time.
Apoorva is currently a participant in The Traitors and was instrumental in eliminating the first 'traitor' on the show, Raj Kundra. In the following episode, she had a showdown with Uorfi Javed which happened off-camera. In another vlog, Apoorva claimed that she was just sitting by herself and crying when she and Uorfi got into an argument. Since then, the two have been in a fight on the show.
However, Uorfi, in a recent social media post, claimed that their fight was 'planned.' 'Everything is planned, guys. We have literally spoken after that incident. This was all planned, her story time, the fact that she is exaggerating it so much, and making me look bad, is what I hate. One day before, when Jannat was crying for her parents, she told me I don't understand how you can cry for your parents at this age, I am happy to stay away from them'. Also, when I went to her to console her, in front of the cast and crew, she went like beh*****d jaa na yaha se. I felt extremely disrespected. So out of anger, I said what I said!'

Sudhanshu Pandey slams Apoorva Mukhija Sudhanshu Pandey, who was also a part of The Traitors, shared an Instagram video slamming Apoorva Mukhija and expressed his disapproval for her tone. He questioned if Ashish was Apoorva's childhood friend, given how lightly she spoke about him on the show. The Anupamaa actor said, 'Apoorva, who is known as The Rebel Kid, already has enough controversies surrounding her. I'm not saying she's a bad person. She's a good kid. I'm sure she has a good heart, too. But jab aapki zubaan kharaab ho jaaye na, toh wo sab kuch kharaab kar deti hai. (Your tone and words can damage everything). Everything else goes for a toss if you do not have the know-how about what to say, and how to speak, about people who are senior to you." Watch Sudhanshu Pandey's video here- Sudhanshu quoted, "Ashish bhai (Ashish Vidyarthi) who is such a senior actor -- he's very senior to me as well. So, behind my back, she was talking about Ashish bhai, and was saying, 'Mujhe lagta hai Ashish jayega'. (I feel Ashish will go)." Sudhanshu Pandey expressed being shocked by this statement and called her out, saying, "Is he your childhood friend or what? Is he your childhood friend? What kind of way is this to talk about people — about actors who are older than even your parents? You're talking about them like this behind their back? What does this say about you? Please tell me - is this Gen Z? Is this what we think is cool? No, I'm sorry - this is not cool at all. I think this is the biggest bullsh*t, and it's like a curse on our society'. He further explained that even he has kids and they are Gen-Z. Sudhanshu pointed out how they are extremely respectful to other people. He said, "So I am sorry, I think there are a lot of problems." ‘Aamir Khan can take risks, nothing will change': Prosenjit Chatterjee on Sitaare Zameen Par's theatre-only release
Aamir Khan's decision to not release Sitaare Zameen Par on OTT platforms just eight weeks after it hit the theatre has garnered praise from Prosenjit Chatterjee. Speaking with India Today, Prosenjit said that Aamir "can take the risk" as he "understands the pulse and sensibilities of the audiences". However, he added that "nothing will change". (Also Read | Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection day 1) Prosenjit Chatterjee talked about Aamir Khan and Sitaare Zameen Par. Talking about Aamir's different approach, Prosenjit said, "He can take the risk. He has been serving the industry for many years, and he understands the pulse and sensibilities of the audiences." Prosenjit, however, thinks that this move of Aamir won't bring about any change. "To save the theatrical business and cinema, he (Aamir Khan) is a person who can think this way or take this kind of risk. Nothing will change, a film will come on OTT and then on satellite television. That's how it works, that's how we reach our Indian audiences. But let's see how this goes (Sitaare Zameen Par's only-cinema model), and I hope it works," added Prosenjit. What Aamir had said about Sitaare Zameen Par's release Recently, Aamir told India Today about exclusively releasing the film in theatres. 'I am a loyalist of cinema, and I believe in it. Yes, it's a big risk, and there's a lot [of money] involved. If I don't get that chunk of my pre-sales, and the film doesn't work, it could lead to a major loss. I did receive offers, but I turned them down because I want audiences to go to theatres and watch my film. I believe in cinema, and I believe in my audience," he added. As per trade analyst Komal Nahta, Aamir has turned down an offer of ₹ 120 crore from Amazon Prime Video for the digital rights of the film. Komal, writing for Film Information, said that Aamir has "decided to try and change the game" for films releasing in theatres. Komal said that Aamir wants people to experience the release of a film in theatres. About Sitaare Zameen Par A spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit film Taare Zameen Par, Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna, released in theatres on Friday. In it, Aamir plays a basketball coach training a team of players with special needs. The film also stars Genelia D'souza. It is a remake of the Spanish film Campeones.
