After dealing with the social media trolling and coming out of the dark phase, she gained the courage to open up about the same. Looking ahead, in a recent interview, she revealed her wish to go abroad to get her Master's degree in either fashion or management. Apoorva Mukhija Reveals She Had To Vacate House After India's Got Latent Row
New Delhi: Apoorva Mukhija AKA Rebel Kid, who was on the panel with Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani in Samay Raina's India's Got Latent, came under the public ire after the controversial clip of using obscene language went viral. FIRs were filed soon after. Apoorva, who's currently a part of Amazon Prime's reality show The Traitors, revealed in a recent interview that she was forced to move out of the building after the Police came to summon her. What's Happening In an interview with Mashable India, Apoorva revealed that the building authority - where she stays in Mumbai - asked her to vacate the house after the Police came to summon her. "Because the cops came to my house to put up a notice and to summon me, the building management raised a complaint that 'cops are coming to this building, it's wrong, that's why we don't allow bachelors, that's why we don't rent out to single women'. "So somehow, I was single handedly responsible for evacuating feminism out of that building. So the owner told me to leave. I stayed in that house for one year only," said Apoorva. In a vlog shared after the controversy, in April, Apoorva shared that she couldn't go back to the house as she was scared of being attacked. "I started reading my DMs and they were all graphic of how people want to rape me, throw acid and stuff like that," she shared at the time. About India's Got Latent Row Ranveer Allahbadia found himself in troubles after he made a controversial remark about parents and sex. During his appearance on India's Got Latent show, Ranveer Allahbadia had asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever." The Internet heavily schooled him after the comments went viral and multiple police complaints were filed against him. Apporva, who was on the panel as well, also faced legal consequences. The makers of Telugu film "Uppu Kappurambu" unveiled its trailer on Thursday and its lead actress Keerthy Suresh said the unique blend of satire and heart drew her to the film. "What drew me to Uppu Kappurambu was its unique blend of satire and heart," said Keerthy. Talking about her character, she added, "Apoorva is a refreshingly different character. She's idealistic, determined, and a little out of her depth. It was an absolute joy to bring her character to life, especially in a world so rooted in our rural culture." She said that the film uses humour and local flavour to spotlight something serious, and that's what makes it hit home. The Telugu Original Movie is a satire comedy set in a fictional South Indian village grappling with increased pressure on its burial infrastructure. It also stars Suhas, Babu Mohan, Shatru, and Talluri Rameshwari. As per the statement, the film is set in the early 1990s, unfolds in Chitti Jayapuram, a seemingly quiet village with a very bizarre crisis, it's run by Uppu Kappurambu out of space to bury the dead. As the newly appointed, idealistic village head Apoorva takes charge, she faces ridicule from locals who are uncomfortable with a woman in power. YouTuber-turned-actor Apoorva Mukhija, aka The Rebel Kid, has revealed that she was asked to vacate her house in Mumbai after the India's Got Latent controversy. She said that building residents complained to the management after police visited her to summon her. Apoorva was one of the comics who featured in the controversial episode of India's Got Latent in January this year. She was part of the panel where YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made his controversial comments about parents and sex. While he was severely criticised, a clip of Apoorva also attracted negative reactions from social media users. Comedian Samay Raina, the creator of the popular YouTube show, later deleted all the episodes of the show. Samay, Ranveer, Apoorva and others related to the show faced multiple FIRs for their comments on the show. After the stir, Apoorva went off social media. However, she is back on the medium and regular in posting content now. She is also revving her career after the setback. Apoorva is currently being seen as a participant in the Indian adaptation of the reality television series The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar.
