Has We Were Liars been renewed for Season 2? Here's what we know:
Summary We Were Liars is the latest Amazon Prime Video Original. This psychological thriller has everything from family drama and betrayals to teen angst and memory loss. Amazon Prime Video determines whether to renew a show based on various factors such as completion rate, viewership numbers, production costs, and more. As of now, there's no news regarding the renewal of We Were Liars, but we look at the possibility of a Season 2. We Were Liars is another exciting Amazon Prime Video Original that graced our screens in May 2025. With complex themes of manipulation, privilege, memory loss and burying weaknesses, it's for those who are fans of thriller dramas. The 8-episode show stars Emily Alyn Lind, Shubham Maheshwari, Esther McGregor, Joseph Zada and more. Based on the book of the same name by E. Lockhart, it is helmed by CW regulars, Julie Plec and Carina Adly Mackenzie. With bittersweet moments and plot twists, the season finale will have viewers on the edge of their seats. If you've watched the first season and want to know if there will be a second, this article has all the details you're looking for. Here's everything we know: What is We Were Liars Season 1 about? We Were Liars begins in Summer 17 with an amnesiac Cadence Sinclair trying to recall why she washed up on the beach of her summer house on Beechwood Island, injured and naked, a year ago. The Liars, comprising Gat and her cousins, Johnny and Mirren, were her best friends but haven't spoken to her all year. Desperate to figure out what went down and who is responsible, Cady heads back to Beechwood for answers. Summer 16 is happy, carefree and perfect, that is till Cady starts noticing all that is wrong with her rich and privileged family, the Sinclairs. Her mom and her aunts' sibling rivalry gets worse as they vie for the biggest slice of the inheritance. Her grandparents pit their children against each other to prove themselves. Gat seems to have gotten hot but also conscious of the Sinclairs' prejudice. And Johnny is hiding something that is more than just a kiss gone wrong. We have extensive coverage of We Were Liars Season 1 on the site, including recaps for all episodes. You can find those HERE! Has We Were Liars Been Renewed for Season 2? At the time of writing, Amazon Prime Video hasn't renewed We Were Liars for a Season 2. Amazon tends to look at views and the drop-off rates before renewing or cancelling the show, along with the critical success. Some shows are instantly renewed like Reacher or Fallout while others take years such as THEM and Upload. Popular Amazon Prime Originals do get renewals most of the time but only time will tell if We Were Liars will get a Season 2. But with the novel's prequel, 'Family of Liars' being acquired by Amazon as well, it seems like the studio is interested in renewing the show. What do we know about We Were Liars Season 2? Not much is known about We Were Liars Season 2 at the moment, given that it has not been greenlit. There are two ways it can go. If it is a prequel, it will follow 'Family of Liars'. Some of the novel's premise has already been set up in Season 1 with the mention of Rosemary, the dead fourth Sinclair sister, Carrie's addiction and plastic surgery, her friend, Yardley, Bess' apathy at Rosemary's death and Penny's sinister participation in whatever happened when they were 16. If it is a sequel, there is ample scope for that as well as Season 1 ends with Johnny getting stuck on Beechwood. If the show does return, you can expect a season with approximately 8 episodes, each lasting around an hour. Nothing is confirmed yet, but we'll be sure to update this page as soon as any new information comes in. Would you like to see We Were Liars return for a second season? Or do you think the story has run its course? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Shah Rukh Khan embraces the cast and poses for pictures at Sitaare Zameen Par screening. Watch video
Just a day prior to the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, actor Aamir Khan hosted a special screening of his latest film for family and friends from the industry. Besides stars like Rekha, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Vicky Kaushal and Jeetendra, Shah Rukh Khan also attended the event. Shah Rukh, who had previously met the cast of the film, walked the red carpet and greeted actors Vedant Sharma, Naman Misra, Aayush Bhansali and Aroush Datta, among others. SRK was spotted in a casual look, wearing track pants, jacket and a beanie. Aamir smiled in the background as the cast of the film hugged and posed with Shah Rukh. Watch | Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt arrive hand in hand at Sitaare Zameen Par screening A post shared by SCREEN (@ieentertainment) Aamir Khan is making an attempt to bring back the traditional theatre viewing experience with Sitaare Zameen Par. He announced during the press run for the film that he doesn't want to release the film on OTT, and he wants people to come to the theatre with their friends and family to enjoy the movie. Staying true to his word, Aamir also rejected a Rs 120 crore OTT deal from Amazon Prime Video. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the advance bookings for the film have reached Rs 2.32 crore without accounting for block seats. The total number with the block seats is Rs 5.76 crore. Watch | Sitaare Zameen Par screening: Rekha, Javed Akhtar, Vicky Kaushal and others rally behind Aamir Khan On the other hand, trade analyst Taran Adarsh told India Today that the film could very well make much more as the weekend dawns upon the makers. He said, 'The box office run (of Aamir Khan) currently depends on word-of-mouth. Since the promotion for the film is very light, now the film's success depends only on Aamir Khan's face-value. For the opening weekend, it could be around Rs 30 crore.' Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par features Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain and Ashish Pendse, among others. The story has been penned by Divy Sidhi Sharma, and the film has been jointly produced by Aamir and Aparna Purohit. Music for the film has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and the lyrics have been written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The Latest Update About ‘Motorheads' Season 2 On Amazon Prime Video
Motorheads You may have seen the series Motorheads floating around Amazon Prime Video's top ten list the last few weeks, and even if it rarely, if ever, hit the top spot, it's been a successful series both critically and among audiences. Now, we have at least some amount of information about the status of season 2. Motorheads doesn't have many reviews in to land its 75% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, but it has a very promising 92% audience score, indicating fans liked what they saw, and that may be a sign they watched the 10-episode series all the way through. So, season 2? The last update we have is promising on one hand, somewhat perilous on the other. Motorheads creator John A. Norris told a fan what was happening on Twitter: User: "New fan, keep the show going please lol don't just one season us…love brother" John A. Norris: "Thanks! Fingers crossed. Season two is written." Past that, Norris also talked about a potential story development that will happen in the second season: Other cast members have talked about how the show ends on a somewhat maddening cliffhanger, especially if it does not return. Here's star Michael Cimino: And star Melissa Collazo: And we know she does, in fact, start driving, according to the showrunner who has already written that episode. Motorheads It's not unusual for cast members to express interest in returning for a second season. I mean, obviously. What is unusual is to have an entire second season written before renewal by a streaming service, as that's a fairly big risk if you do not already have a deal in place. But I suppose that's how passionate Norris is about the project. The problem is that these updates are from May, and there have not been that many new developments since then, and things are all quiet on Amazon's end. It's not late enough to start worrying, as these things can take time, a month, or even multiple months, but I'm feeling pretty positive about things given its performance, reception and the fact that it could start filming right away with a script already in place. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi Apologises After Claiming Ahmedabad Crash Survivor Was 'Lying': 'I Was Misled'
Last Updated: Suchitra Krishnamoorthi apologizes after falsely accusing survivor Vishwas Ramesh of faking his role in Ahmedabad plane crash. Deletes tweet, cites false info. Actress and singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, best known for her role in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa alongside Shah Rukh Khan, found herself at the centre of controversy on Thursday after questioning the credibility of Vishwas Kumar Ramesh — the sole survivor of the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash. The incident, which claimed over 270 lives, left the world reeling, with Vishwas's miraculous survival becoming a rare moment of hope amid devastation. However, in a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), Suchitra cast doubt on Vishwas's account, referring to a social media rumour that falsely accused him of fabricating his story. 'So this #vishwaskumarramesh lied about being a passenger on the plane & the only survivor? This is seriously weird. Didn't his family in the UK corroborate his story? What about his brother's funeral that he was seen giving kandha to?" she had written, further suggesting that if the rumour were true, Vishwas 'deserved serious punishment or a mental asylum." The actress quickly came under fire for spreading unverified information, with many social media users and journalists pointing out that Vishwas's survival had been officially confirmed by the hospital in Ahmedabad and covered extensively by credible news outlets. Within hours, Suchitra deleted the tweet and issued a public apology. In a follow-up post, she wrote: 'Took out my last tweet on the Air India crash survivor. Seems to be false news circulated for God knows what reason. My apologies." She also clarified that the misinformation had been shared by a friend on social media and she regretted not verifying it before reposting. Took out my last tweet on the air india crash survivor. Seems to be false news circulated for God knows what reason. My apologies— Suchitra Krishnamoorthi (@suchitrak) June 19, 2025 Vishwas Ramesh, a 40-year-old British national originally from Diu, had travelled to India with his brother Ajay to visit family. The two were returning to London on the ill-fated Ahmedabad–Gatwick flight on June 12 when tragedy struck. Vishwas, who was seated beside his brother, survived the crash with injuries and was discharged from Ahmedabad Civil Hospital on June 17. The very next day, despite being bandaged and visibly hurt, he led his brother's funeral procession in Diu, performing the last rites. Suchitra, who has remained active on social media in recent years and frequently voices opinions on political and social issues, faced backlash not only for spreading misinformation but also for the insensitivity of her remarks. While her prompt apology helped temper the situation, the incident has sparked renewed calls for celebrities to act more responsibly when engaging with public discourse online. On the work front, Suchitra was last seen in Amazon Prime Video's legal drama Guilty Minds in 2022. While there's no official announcement on her upcoming projects, the actress continues to maintain a steady presence in the digital sphere. First Published:
