Pit Babe (Thai BL) – Season 2 Episode 4 Recap & Review

The Review Geek27-05-2025

Let the Games Begin!
Episode 4 of Pit Babe Season 2 begins with Babe taking Charlie to the lab for a test to determine what is wrong. As Chris does multiple tests, Babe gets anxious, as Charlie is still unconscious. He asks Chris to pull the lug on the tests, but Charlie wakes up.
Charlie begs Babe to let him finish, since this is important to him. Babe agrees on the condition that if Charlie's condition worsens, they will stop. Anyway, according to the tests, Charlie's powers are weakening, almost gone.
On the other hand, our cutie, Jeff, is still working on getting Alan's forgiveness. He tries to hack Alan's work laptop to get his attention, but it fails. He goes back to our resident love guru, Charlie, and asks for more advice. Thankfully, this time, Charlie advises him to stop keeping secrets from Alan. He advises his brother to trust and rely on his boyfriend.
Jeff returns home and sincerely opens up to Alan about his power and his visions. He admits that in one of his visions, he didn't see their relationship working. Still, he loves Alan and chose to stay. Hearing this melts Alan's heart, and they make steamy love. Maybe Charlie was onto something, just forgot to lay out the steps of seduction.
The following morning, Babe has the misfortune of running into Billy at his gym. Babe brings up his suspicions about Willy being involved in his accident. Of course, the little flirt denies it and challenges Babe to a spur.
Babe happily accepts, as he was looking to punch Willy, anyway. They spar for a while, and Babe wins. At the end of the gym session, Babe questions if Willy let him win because of his injuries. He also reveals that he checked Willy's alibi, and he was not behind the accident.
At the garage, Charlie excitedly tells Jeff and Alan his plans to give Babe a promise ring. He wants them to get married in the future, but Jeff and Alan tease him about the proposal. After Charlie leaves, Alan asks Jeff to consider marrying him. Jeff asks for more time to sort out the issue with his problems.
Back at the lab, Pete successfully seduces Chris. It turns out Chris doesn't mind a little attention from him either. They get hot and heavy. Please, give us a moment to pick our jaws off the floor! That love scene was something else! They are about to go for round two when Kim and Kenta pull up. Chris leaves while Pete talks to Kenta. Kenta is worried about what Toni is up to.
The next day, Kenta takes them to the place he remembers being abandoned by Toni's boys. He feels Toni's hideout must be close. As they investigate, they see a black Nissan pull over and park under the bridge. The driver seems to be waiting for something, so they confront him. He manages to escape, but Pete takes two samples of what the guy was delivering to Toni's men.
They take the samples to Chris, and he reveals that they are the same components they are using for their drug. They start to worry why Toni would be making a skill-nullifying drug and how they can stop him.
As they talk, Jeff has a vision of Toni. He falls and starts nose-bleeding. A few moments later, he tells the others that Toni is making a skill-enhancing drug. The scene cuts to Toni's lab, where another person dies during the gruelling tests.
After a long day, Charlie takes Babe home to celebrate his birthday. Babe is touched, but was hoping for a real engagement ring. He wants to cuff his man down, and we can't blame him.
Back to Toni, he meets with an old acquaintance who is currently a minister. The minister wants Toni to deliver more people with power in return for protecting Toni's secret. Toni agrees and asks Manit to get the doctor to escalate his research.
Manit grows greedy and starts making demands. Toni agrees, and as soon as Manit starts walking away, he asks Winner to kill Manit. Even though Winner hesitates, he still bashes Manit's skull in. He walks back to give Toni his walking stick.
The episode ends with Toni getting up from his wheelchair and walking. Winner is shocked, but Toni tells him the real games have just begun.
The Episode Review
Toni is too good as a villain. He is always locked in on business. The X-Hunter team better buckle up for whatever Toni is playing. In the meantime, our boys are focusing on love, and we finally got PeteChris. They came in riding for their lives, no pun intended.
I can't wait to get KimKenta next. As much as we teased Charlie for advising Jeff to seduce Alan, he was not too far off the mark. Jeff got his man back, and all is well with the Alan Jeff ship. It is a bit disappointing that we didn't get to see North and Sonic.
Other than that, this was a solid, fun episode, and I can't wait for more.
Willy is also stirring the pot, but we still have no idea what his motives are. If he didn't hit Charlie, this means he might not be working for Toni. Does this mean he just likes messing with Babe? Does he have real feelings for Babe? Also, did he fake his alibi?
We need to figure all these out. Either way, it is nice to see someone shake the status quo. Hopefully, people will remember that this is simply acting and stop taking it out on the actor on social media!

My brother died at 33 — what I wish I'd known

I remember seeing the troubling spark of recognition in the psychologist's eyes when I told her that my late brother, Charlie, had schizophrenia. We were sitting in her office going through a never-ending pile of forms as part of my seven-year-old son Eddie's autism-assessment process, including my family history. 'Did you know,' she asked, 'that autism used to be known as childhood schizophrenia?' I remember the grating rough texture of the chair I was sitting on prickling against the back of my legs and feeling the inside of my stomach flip. We lost my big brother, Charlie, in 2004 when he was 33 and he hadn't had a particularly happy life. He had been diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 18 after a period of psychosis — he had been hearing voices and became convinced that a group of people were out to get him.

Frozen fans can now relive the magic of the West End musical, starring Samantha Barks The Masked Singer winner Samantha Barks' "must-see" film is now available to stream. Samantha famously clinched the title in the sixth series of the popular ITV singing contest in February, with Gregory Porter and Marti Pellow coming in second and third place, respectively. ‌ Concealed behind the memorable Pufferfish mask, Samantha delivered a variety of pop and musical theatre classics. ‌ Viewers will recall her captivating performance of Chappell Roan's Good Luck, Babe, Teddy Swims' Lose Control, and Don't Rain on My Parade from Funny Girl. In the grand finale, Samantha performed a breathtaking duet with McFly's Danny Jones, belting out Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler, reports Surrey Live. Samantha first shot to fame in 2008 as one of the finalists in I'd Do Anything - the BBC talent hunt for a fresh face to play Nancy in the West End revival of Oliver! Since then, she has graced the stage in several hit musicals, including Cabaret, Chicago, and Pretty Woman. After portraying Éponine in Les Misérables on the West End, producer Cameron Mackintosh selected Samantha to reprise the role in the 25th Anniversary Concert of the show, and in the 2012 musical film. ‌ Her rendition of On My Own remains one of the most celebrated performances to date, even making it onto the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release. Most recently, she played Elsa in the West End production of Frozen, which ran from August 2021 to September 2024. ‌ Frozen enthusiasts can now experience the enchantment all over again as the stage production, captured at the stunning Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London, is available to stream. The acclaimed Broadway and West End musical, which draws inspiration from Disney's hit film, was recorded early last year and made its debut on Disney+ today (Friday, June 20). Samantha takes on the role of the enchanting Queen Elsa, with Laura Dawkes portraying her lively younger sister Anna. ‌ Completing the principal line-up are Jammy Kasongo as Kristoff, Craig Gallivan as the lovable Olaf, Oliver Ormson playing Hans, and Richard Frame as the Duke of Weselton. Audiences can expect a dazzling display of music and magic on stage, complete with awe-inspiring surprises and top-notch special effects. In addition to the beloved original songs, the show introduces 12 new musical numbers. ‌ In a conversation with the WhatsOnStage podcast in March, Samantha expressed her delight at the prospect of her 20-month-old son, Rafael, being able to see her performance on Disney+. "It's really exciting. It was a really beautiful moment when we found out we were going to do that because you're doing a show like Frozen, which means so much to me professionally and personally," she said. ‌ "Having Raffi, I was thinking, 'Oh, he'll never see it'. And then you find out you're going to be filmed for Disney Plus, and it's like, 'Wow, it'll live on forever'. My nieces can watch it everyday and Raffi can watch it if he wants to." The West End production has been showered with accolades, as one theatre-goer exclaimed: "Magnificent is an understatement. I was overwhelmed with emotion at the whole thing, loved every minute." Equally impressed, another remarked: "I was blown away by the West End production. The singing is stirring, the orchestration is phenomenal, the visual effects are stunning! I was moved to tears," while someone else proclaimed: "It's the best stage musical. A truly must see production of this generation." Frozen the Musical is available to stream on Disney+

BBC Breakfast halted as Charlie Stayt pulled off air mid sentence

BBC Breakfast was hit with a series of awkward blunders live on air on Thursday morning's show BBC Breakfast faced a mishap on Thursday (June 19) when presenter Charlie Stayt was unexpectedly pulled off air. During the latest edition of the popular morning show, Charlie and co-host Naga Munchetty were live on the iconic red sofa, covering key news stories from across the UK and around the globe to viewers across Britain. In addition to the main news coverage, regular presenter Mike Bushell appeared in the studio to present the sports segment, while meteorologist Matt Taylor brought the weather report live from a scenic lavender farm in the Cotswolds. ‌ Among the significant issues tackled during the show were the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the government's recent change to the Warm Home Discount scheme and the widespread impact of soaring prices in the UK, the Express reports. ‌ Later in the broadcast, conversation shifted to a more personal topic, mental health. The presenters began to discuss celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal about his bipolar disorder diagnosis. An emotional clip was then played, in which Blumenthal spoke candidly about his experience and the emotional and psychological struggles he has faced. Following the segment, Naga took a moment to direct viewers to mental health support lines for those who may be going through similar issues. However, just as Charlie was prepared to speak about the segment, he managed to get half a sentence in before he was suddenly taken off air. The show was hit with an unexpected blunder, causing confusion as the broadcast switched to local news. It was not confirmed whether the cut was due to a technical issue or a production error. ‌ This was not the only awkward mishap on today's programme, as during the weather forecast, presenter Matt's microphone produced a noticeable echo through the studio. Similarly, the situation continued during an interview segment when political correspondent Joe Pike's microphone failed entirely, cutting him off during an interview. In addition to the audio issues, the show suffered several different sequencing problems. ‌ These ongoing issues caused a lot of confusion among BBC viewers, as many of them took to social media to express their annoyance at the situation. Viewers turned to X, formally known as Twitter, to share their frustration. One person expressed: "Poor Charlie being cut off during the local news announcement, on his birthday too." As another said: "Looks like the interns have taken over the production room this morning. Sequencing issues, sound problems and cutting people off mid-flow," while a third simply stated: "The mics need upgrading." A fourth viewer shared the same opinion, saying: "The microphones are doing their own thing today," with someone else concerned, writing: "What is happening with all these technical issues?"
