David and Victoria Beckham hurt by 'pointed Nicola and Brooklyn's 'pointed' move

The ongoing feud between David and Victoria Beckham and their son Brooklyn is escalating, as friends of the family have slammed Brooklyn's wife Nicola for hurting the family with her 'pointed' moves The ongoing feud between the Beckhams and their son Brooklyn is only escalating, with friends of David and Victoria's reportedly accusing Nicola Peltz of "deliberately" rubbing it in. Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola, 30, have distanced themselves from Victoria and David, following a series of snubs. Although their eldest son Brooklyn and his nepo-baby wife Nicola are keeping quiet on the situation, as are the Beckhams, the couple have been notably absent from a slew of family-centred events and social media posts – or lack thereof – have spoken volumes. The previously close-knit family has gone ahead with events, including David's 50th birthday celebrations and his long-awaited knighthood, but Brooklyn and Nicola have shunned it all by not turning up to events or acknowledging the special occasions on social media. ‌ Meanwhile, the pair have publicly praised Nicola's parents numerous times on social media. Back in April, the couple posted an Easter basket they received from her parents, with the pair issuing a 'thank-you' to them on Instagram – despite Brooklyn completely ignoring his mum on Mother's Day just weeks before. ‌ Father's Day also went without mention from Brooklyn, but Nicola gushed over her father, billionaire businessman and investor Nelson Peltz. According to a friend of the couple, it has been a particularly painful time for the Beckhams. Speaking to the Mail, a source said: "It all feels very pointed. Like Brooklyn and Nicola are deliberately trying to rub David and Victoria's noses in it." Elsewhere, a separate source recently claimed that the Beckhams' attempts to support their kids to stand on their own two feet has been taken as "tight" by the Peltzes. But, after Nicola's parents gifted her money to buy a £10.5 million mansion in Los Angeles, another source stated Victoria is concerned that her son is trapped. An insider said that the family were hoping his move to America wouldn't be "permanent", but their "house purchase quashes any last hopes". And with both Nicola and Brooklyn named on the house, he could find it difficult to up and move. A source told the Mirror: "This house has nothing to do with family dynamics. Both Nicola and Brooklyn's careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for LA Galaxy. ‌ "During that time, he attended school in LA for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. LA has always felt like home to him." But Victoria and David, who both come from working class backgrounds, have always put emphasis on the need for independence. The source added: "When it came to buying this house, of course they weren't just going to hand their son millions of pounds — what sort of message does that send?" ‌ However, a source close to Brooklyn has slammed the claims as "cruel and baseless". They claimed: "It's disappointing—and frankly absurd—that anyone would try to twist Nicola and Brooklyn's marriage, and this meaningful milestone of home ownership, into something toxic. "Their relationship is grounded in love, respect, and commitment. The suggestion that Brooklyn is 'trapped' isn't just false—it's a deliberately cruel and baseless narrative aimed at undermining a strong, loving marriage.'

Kate shares adorable photo of William with new puppies to mark his 43rd birthday

The Princess of Wales has shared an adorable new photo to mark husband Prince William's birthday. The Prince of Wales turns 43 today and to celebrate, the official Kensington Royal account posted a picture of him posing with the family dog Orla - and her new puppies. The black cocker spaniel - gifted to the family by Kate's brother James Middleton in 2020 - recently gave birth to four puppies. The photo of William, Orla and her brood was taken by the Princess in Windsor earlier this month. The caption reads: "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!" King Charles and Queen Camilla have also wished William a happy birthday. The couple posted a photo on their official Instagram page that shows him smiling widely while sat on a rock wall. It is not known exactly how the heir to the throne is celebrating today. Bu he will surely be swapping any work matters for precious family time with the Princess of Wales and their children. A year ago, William was in a very different place, as wife Kate was still undergoing chemotherapy treatment after her cancer diagnosis. At the same time, his father the King has also been diagnosed with the disease. Not only was he on hand to support them both, but he also proved to be a rock for his three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. He memorably described 2024 as "brutal" and significantly one of the "hardest of his life". But with Kate now in remission, things look different 12 months on as he turns a year older, focus shifts slightly to duty. In the past week, not only has he been at Trooing and Garter Day but also Royal Ascot and carried out a visit alongside actress Cate Blanchett to Colorifix - a Norwich-based company which creates sustainable dye for clothing, and is one of his Earthshot Prize finalists. And former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond tells the Mirror that William is "extremely serious" when it comes to the job that his life has given him. She explained: "As he himself has said, if he can't make some kind of difference, some kind of impact on issues he cares so deeply about – then what is the point of being a prince or of having such a high profile platform? "So, now that the crisis of the past 18 months has eased, he seems to be working pretty much flat out for much of the time, and I'm sure that will continue." But despite his work and duty, there is one thing that always comes first for William as well as wife Kate - family. William is a very hands-on parent, doing the school run and ferrying the kids to their various after-school sports clubs and activities. Putting family first was no more so evident than at Easter earlier this year when he and his family skipped the traditional Easter Sunday church service with the King and Queen at Windsor to spend precious family time together - all with the King's blessing. And even if his schedule may seem busier, Jennie believes this family time is something William will always make a priority. She said: "These years are a period when, without the never-ending state duties of a monarch, he can be allowed to concentrate rather more fully on his wife and children. So I think school holidays will continue to be ring-fenced as much as possible, even if he is criticised for doing so. "You just have to look at the pictures of William and his children released for Father's Day to see how much they adore him and how close they are as a family. This tall, handsome, smiling man is their dad and their protector. And William would never want to put that in any jeopardy." I tried the new viral Dubai chocolate ice cream served at a top London attraction – it was a huge disappointment

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) NEARLY every food brand has hopped on the Dubai chocolate trend - and I tried out the most recent one that has gone viral online. Made up of a concoction of pistachio cream mixed with shredded filo pastry, all coated in a silky chocolate case - it's no surprise this choccie bar has taken the world by storm. 4 I went to Borough Market to try out the new viral ice cream Credit: Alamy Chocaholics across the globe are so enamoured by it that Dubai's Duty Free sold an eye-watering $22million (£16million) of the bars in just the first three months of 2025. And now, the viral creation has landed in London's Borough Market, served in ice cream form. After clocking the gelato treat on social media - several chocolate-y scoops dripping in lashings of pistachio sauce and served in a pistachio-rimmed cone - I couldn't resist giving it a try. Afterall, we are in the midst of a heatwave and what better way to cool off? The treat hails from a small cafe, Gelateria 3Bis, at the edge of the market, which also sells flakey pastries and baked goods. I was pleasantly surprised to find no queue on a Tuesday lunchtime in 25C sunshine, but perhaps I should have taken that as a sign of things to come. Behind the counter were neat slices of apple and almond tart, slathered in a shiny glaze (£3.50); wedges of a crumbly looking walnut tart (also £3.50); and stacks of cannolis with thick ricotta filling oozing out of each case (£2). They certainly got my stomach gurgling. 'One Dubai chocolate please,' I say. I practically drooled as the lady leaned into the metal tub to scoop the chocolate-y mixture into my cone, waiting for the pistachio magic to happen. Foodies race to buy new Dubai chocolate Easter egg in popular supermarket - the 'filling is crazy' and it's selling FAST 4 The ice cream cost a huge £6.50 But then, nothing. That was it - and a rather naked-looking gelato was handed over to me. Where was my pistachio sauce? Where were the sprinkles I'd seen decadently splashed over the top? And, more importantly, where was the pistachio and filo filling that makes Dubai chocolate what it is? After shelling out a staggering £6.50, I walked away realising that this was a classic case of Insta vs reality trickery. Perhaps I had misordered, I thought. But it couldn't be that. I'd even mentioned that I'd seen it advertised on the cafe's Instagram. Unlike the sensation I'd seen on social media, my two-scoop treat was lacking in decadence. 4 The ice cream was delicious but not what I thought 4 It looked nothing like it I'd been asked if I wanted a 'special cone', not realising that the pistachio cone I'd seen wasn't part of this category – it had apparently been placed in a league of its own. The special cones cost an additional £1.50 and are essentially just a traditional waffle cone dipped in chocolate and then covered in some form of topping like hazelnut or sprinkles. I'm not sure why the pistachio hadn't been offered to me, but when I saw the price - over £2 - I was a little relieved. In terms of flavour, it hit the mark for a decent chocolate gelato: creamy, smooth and indulgent, but not too sweet. And after tucking in, I did notice the odd fleck of green accompanied by a few pastry shards, but these were minimal and the pistachio flavour did not come through at all. I didn't have time to ponder over how little filling was in there, though, as my scoops were melting rapidly. This is the sign of a well-made gelato, I am told, but this seemed a bit extreme. Barely a minute had passed and I was already frantically wiping the melt from my hands and arm. As for the cone, the chocolate rim added a little extra zing to the overall flavour. But I wouldn't be willing to shell out an additional £1.50 again. Perhaps I can't blame it all on the ice cream itself. Maybe the sauce costs extra and the sprinkles do too. But i couldn't see it advertised on the boards and the fact that staff didn't point it out to me when I ordered seems an oversight, not least to say, financially-daft. I reckon if I'd have had the full shebang I would have ended up forking out close to a tenner. So, Dubai chocolate ice cream? Let's not spoil something good. Especially not for prices like this. Here are three other ways to enjoy the Dubai chocolate trend.
