Cam Skattebo's Lack of Pro Football History Knowledge Is Shockingly Bad originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. In a Barstool Sports video that appeared on X, Skattebo was looking at photos of some of the NFL's greatest players on his phone and was asked to identify each by name.

Shockingly, the New York Giants rookie was 'scatterbrained' as he could not identify two Pro Football Hall of Famers: Calvin Johnson and Brett Favre. Johnson was later identified only after Skattebo received hints.
In addition, Skattebo was unable to identify former Saints great Marques Colston, but was able to name Seahawks Legion of Boom safety Kam Chancellor.
It is a good thing Skattebo was not looking at photos of ex-Giants running backs that came before him. How embarrassing would it be not to know your team's backfield history and recognize Tiki Barber, Joe Morris or Ottis Anderson?
A fourth-round pick out of Arizona State, Skattebo took college football by storm last season, rushing for over 1,700 yards and a whopping 21 TDs. Skattebo's effectiveness inside the red zone is the reason he is fighting for a spot on the Giants roster.

Let us hope Skattebo learns the Giants playbook better than he knows NFL history.

Chiefs cut two players as corresponding moves

The Chiefs cut tight end Kevin Foelsch and offensive guard Tremayne Anchrum Jr. on Friday, according to the NFL's transactions report. They were corresponding moves after the Chiefs signed tight end Geor'Quarius Spivey and offensive lineman Joey Lombard, agreements that previously were reported. Both Spivey and Lombard were tryout players at the team's minicamp. The Chiefs signed Foelsch, who was cut by the Texans on April 21. Anchrum, 26, joined Houston last November, signing with the team's practice squad. He did not appear in a game for Houston last season but returned on a futures contract. The Rams made Anchrum a seventh-round pick in 2020, and he has appeared in 31 career games with one start. He was on the Rams' roster in Super Bowl LIV. Anchrum also has spent time with the Seahawks and Saints. Foelsch signed nine days ago. The Eagles cut him from their practice squad near the end of last season. Foelsch played collegiately at New Haven, a Division II school, and had 16 touchdown receptions. He signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and also spent time with the Jets.
