Man shot dead in front of his wife in 'gangland hit' at Bali villa

Metro4 days ago

Three suspects face the death penalty for plotting the murder of an Australian man gunned down in a gangland-style hit at a villa in Bali.
Zivan Radmanovic, 32, was killed just after midnight on June 13 after two men broke into his villa near Munggu Beach in Bali's Badung district.
Sanar Ghanim, 34, was also shot in the attack and remains in hospital, while a third man was badly beaten.
Radmanovic was shot in a bathroom, where police found 17 bullet casings and two intact bullets.
His wife, Gourdeas Jazmyn, 30, told police that she suddenly woke up when she heard her husband screaming. She cowered under a blanket when she heard multiple gunshots.
She later found her husband's body and the injured Australian, whose wife has also testified to seeing the attackers.
Mr Ghanim was previously in a relationship with the step-daughter of the late Carl Williams, a prominent Melbourne underworld figure, according to reports in Australia.

Williams rose from a low-level drug dealer to one of the kingpins in the city's bloody gangland wars of the late 1990s and early 2000s which were later dramatized in the hit TV series Underbelly.
He was convicted in 2007 of ordering several killings and was serving a life sentence when he was bludgeoned to death by a fellow inmate three years later.
Reports link Mr Ghanim to the criminal underworld, stating he had served jail time over a non-fatal shooting in Melbourne in 2014.
Police earlier said they had detained two suspects, but further investigation led police to arrest a third man who helped them to prepare the killing, Bali Police Chief Daniel Adityajaya said.
He added: 'The three suspects are Australian men, and they are now being held and questioned for further investigation.'
At least three witnesses at the villa told investigators that two gunmen, one wearing orange jacket with a dark helmet and another wearing a dark green jacket, a black mask and a dark helmet, arrived on a scooter at the villa around midnight.
Mr Adityajaya said the evidence collected so far means 'we have confidence that the three (suspects) are the perpetrators'.
Two of the men were arrested late Tuesday in Singapore and at Jakarta's Soekarno Hatta International Airport, while trying to flee.
Indonesian police didn't say where the third suspect was apprehended. More Trending
Mr Adityajaya said the men are now being held in Bali and can face various charges, including murder and firearm charges, that could carry up to a life sentence or the death penalty if found guilty.
He said police are still investigating the motive and how they got the weapon as firearm ownership and use are heavily regulated in Indonesia.
'We are still investigating the possibility of other suspects,' Mr Adityajaya said.
He praised the collaboration between Indonesian police and immigration agencies in tracking the whereabouts of the suspects with the support of the Australian Federal Police and Interpol in the Southeast Asia region.

Kanye West's wife Bianca Censori defiant in candy bikini after 50 Cent attack

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Bianca Censori has stepped out in yet another ultra-revealing ensemble, wearing just a tiny candy bikini on an outing with husband Kanye West. Since the Australian model, 30, married the rapper, 48, in 2022, the public has become accustomed to seeing rather a lot of her, whether it be her totally sheer Grammys dress or a barely-there underwear set. Consequently, concerns have been raised for her welfare, with the internet convinced that Ye is dictating what his spouse wears, especially given that he will always be fully clothed next to her. But as speculation about the nature of her marriage to Ye rages on, Bianca turned heads once more on Saturday with plenty of skin on show. She and the Yeezy fashion designer were seen exiting a chrome Mercedes-Maybach before arriving at the Mercer Hotel in New York, later making their way to a Brooklyn studio. In just her bra and a thong, Bianca's skimpy attire was made entirely out of sweets, not holding much in. Whether or not it was real, edible candy is anyone's guess, but we can't imagine it's the kind of look you'd see an Oompa Loompa rocking in the Chocolate Factory. The brunette wore her long locks in a sleek, straight style, was clutching her phone, and added a pair of metallic silver heels. In stark contrast, walking beside her, Ye was entirely covered, wearing black trousers, a grey hoodie, and tan boots. Maintaining his usual stoic expression, he covered his eyes with shades. The appearance marks Ye and Bianca's first public outing since rap star 50 Cent made a dig at the Gold Digger hitmaker's wife. Last week, Ye unexpectedly arrived at court as Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial continues. He faces serious federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, which he has denied and pleaded not guilty to. Ye's appearance is said to have been short-lived, as, according to CNN, since he was not listed as an official attendee, he was directed to an overflow courtroom. After watching the proceedings via closed-circuit video for less than an hour, he exited the building and was seen driving off. Afterwards, 50 – real name Curtis James Jackson III – made it known how he felt, with Ye's arrival being widely interpreted as a display of support for Combs. Taking to Instagram, the Candy Shop hitmaker posted an AI-generated image of himself wearing a white ensemble similar to Ye's court look. In a savage caption, he dragged both Ye and his wife, making a reference to her nearly naked Grammys frock from earlier in the year. 'We are wearing white in honor of the freak offs,' he wrote. 'Damn Ye, you should have brought your dirty little wife with that Grammys outfit! @50centaction.' The 'freak offs' comment was seemingly a jibe at the unsettling sexual assault allegations surrounding Combs, who allegedly held days-long sex parties, which also involved ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. While famously loose-lipped on social media, Ye did not retort. He has, however, not made a secret of his friendship with Combs, having ignited rumours that the two had worked on a song together, on which he wanted daughter North West, 11, to feature, much to the fury of her mother, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. In March, the exes' latest row went public when Ye released a track titled Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine, which he said was a collaboration between Diddy, North, King Combs, and Jasmine Williams. Ye posted text messages online between himself and Kim, in which the Stronger rapper accused his former partner and her family of limiting his access to the children. More Trending It's been said that Kim, who was married to Ye from 2014 to 2022 and shared four kids with him, has displayed solidarity with Bianca during the time she has been with her ex. While reports recently claimed that Bianca was hoping to end their marriage due to living in an 'aggressive situation', the couple seemed to patch things up. However, Skims founder Kim reportedly wants Bianca to know she is there for her, with a source telling Page Six that she has shown 'support' for Bianca and has let her know she's there to 'talk if she needs'. An insider claimed to the outlet that Kim 'feels like she's the only other person on this planet who truly knows what Bianca has been through'. Got a story? Beauty and the Geek star forced to deny she is involved in grisly murder case

Beauty and the Geek star, Kiera Johnstone, has taken to social media, refuting allegations she is involved in a murder case, which was reported in Australia last week The winner of dating show, Beauty and the Geek, has vehemently denied her involvement in a grisly murder in New South Wales, Australia. Kiera Johnstone, 26, who appeared on the Australian version of the series in 2021, insisted she has nothing to do with the shocking case after reports surfaced on Friday that a woman who starred in the reality TV show had been charged with a murder in Port Lincoln. A man's body was discovered in a home in the coastal town in Australia after emergency services were called to a property at about 3:25pm local time on Thursday following reports of a small fire. When crews arrived, they found a man dead inside the residence. A 34-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder. A suppression order preventing the publication of any information that could identify the woman, the victim, or the specific details surrounding the man's death was issued. However, after the news broke, speculation surfaced online attempting to link Keira with allegations stemming from the police report. Telling her followers there were rumours she had been involved in the murder for "reasons beyond my understanding", the reality star took to her Instagram Stories today. Insisting she wanted to be "absolutely clear", Keira said: "Hi everyone. A former contestant from Beauty and the Geek has been charged with a very serious crime. "Although no names have been released, for reasons beyond my understanding, there has been speculation online suggesting that I am involved. "Let me be absolutely clear: I am not involved in any way. I have not been charged with a crime. I have literally never even had a parking fine. The allegations being discussed have nothing to with me, and the fact that I even need to says this is incredibly upsetting. "It's deeply disturbing to see people spreading false information, making assumptions and sharing screenshots. I understand the internet can be quick to judge, but this kind of speculation is damaging and invasive and is something I take very seriously." Asking anyone 'fuelling the gossip' to "please stop", she continued: "If you are part of the group fuelling this - sharing, gossiping or silently watching - I ask you to please stop. "This is not entertainment. This is a serious situation, that involves real victims. you're literally sick if you think this is at all funny. "As this has nothing to do with me, this will be the only time I speak on the matter. Thank you to those who reached out with kindness and common sense." It comes after The Courier Mail reported on Friday that the woman arrested for the alleged murder was once a contestant on reality show Beauty and the Geek. South Australia Police have confirmed the victim and the accused knew each other and had been in a relationship. The woman was refused police bail and remains in custody. Assistant Commissioner Parrott said a cause of death had not yet been established and no further details could be released, as the victim's family had not yet been notified. The woman did not apply for bail and has been detained under the Mental Health Act. She is expected to return to court in December. The suppression order regarding the accused's identity is set to be reviewed by the court next week.

Crime drama with 'one of the best twists of all time' finally available on Netfl

A crime drama that viewers have declared 'one of the best they've watched in a long time' has now been made available on Netflix. First airing in Australia in 2023, North Shore was created by Mike Bullen, who was also behind the comedy-drama Cold Feet. The six-part series follows a British and Australian detective who must team up and investigate the murder of the British trade minister's daughter after her body is found in Sydney Harbour. The politician, Abigail Crawford, is played by Downton Abbey and Breathtaking's Joanne Froggatt. In the middle of negotiating a major deal between Britain and Australia she is told the devastating news about her 19-year-old daughter Sophie's (Bailey Spalding) death. Invited to help investigate the case is London based detective Max Drummond (Game of Thrones' John Bradley) who flies across the world with Abigail and her husband Simon (Dan Spielman). However, once he arrives, it's made clear by DS Meg Driscoll (Kirsty Sturgess) that she will be taking the lead, with their personalities and cultures quickly crashing. Despite their icy introduction, the pair must overcome their differences to work together, which then sees them uncovering a 'complex conspiracy with international political consequences'. Several suspects then emerge, including Sophie's boyfriend and his best friend, while questions are also raised about Abigail's relationship with her old friend Greg Hardy, the leader of the Australian opposition party who looks likely to be the nation's next leader. Since tuning in, many viewers have shared what they thought of the drama. A simple whodunit with a great twist at the end!' thenorthcotes shared. 'It doesn't sound cliché or cheesy like a lot of modern murder mysteries do lately, and it's just the right amount of thriller and mystery to keep you wondering, with little hints of comedy to spark your mood,' thewatcher17 added. The series was initially acquired by ITV in the UK, streaming on ITVX following its initial release on Australian television in 2023, but its dropped on Netflix in the UK today. 'Just binge watched North Shore One of the best series we've watched in a long time! Here's hoping they'll be another series!' Ian posted on X.
