JAMARION CARLTON - Texas A&M, June 13
The race has tightened up drastically at the top with Carlton, who logged an official visit to LSU over the weekend and previously was at Texas Tech for a spring official visit. Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor are all in line to host the blue-chip defender with our attention largely fixated on the Aggies and Longhorns. Each of these in-state programs have been trending with Carlton at various points over the past few months -- with Texas A&M taking a major step forward this spring. As a commitment looms, the Aggies' June 13 official visit looms large toward their chances of winning this critical recruiting battle against the Longhorns and Tigers.

BOOBIE FEASTER - Texas A&M, June 13
Feaster wrapped up his official visit to Alabama this weekend with stops at USC, LSU and Texas A&M all on deck. Feaster has been tied primarily to SEC teams -- with LSU and Texas A&M each leading the way at various points this off-season. Our intel points to Texas A&M being the leader in the clubhouse -- with an official visit as a chance to truly separate from the pack. KEISEAN HENDERSON - Florida State, June 9
Henderson has been the face of Houston's 2026 recruiting class. The five-star QB committed to Willie Fritz last May -- and Henderson has since been an active, vocal leader representing the Cougars. Programs like LSU, Florida State and Oregon have all taken swings at Henderson, who will head to Tallahassee on June 9. The Seminoles have swung and missed on several top QB targets this cycle -- and will get their crack at Henderson later this month. Mike Norvell has pulled off some memorable flips at this position over the years -- and Henderson has the potential to follow suit.

FELIX OJO - Texas, June 13
Ojo has already logged a handful of official visits. The five-star OT has been on campus at Ole Miss, Florida, Texas Tech and Colorado -- and recently wrapped up an official visit to Ohio State. Texas is on the calendar for June 13 -- one of the biggest recruiting weekends in Austin this summer. Ojo is a priority target for Steve Sarkisian, Kyle Flood and this Longhorns' staff, and they have been playing with a lead with the in-state OL. Texas is prepared to go all-in to keep Ojo inside the Lone Star State -- and this visit back looms incredibly large toward accomplishing that.

JOHN TURNTINE III - Texas, June 20
Turntine logged an official visit to Stanford over the weekend and has big trips on the docket to Michigan, Texas A&M and Texas on the horizon. The Longhorns have remained the team best positioned with the in-state OL and made a sizable impression on Turntine and his family during their most recent visit to the Forty. Texas gets the final crack at Turntine on June 20 before a commitment later this summer.

Petition calls for California to end policy allowing transgender students to compete in girls' sports
Some female high school athletes want an end to a policy that allows transgender athletes to compete in girls' sports, claiming it has created unfair competition. "Right here, right now, we are hand-delivering a petition signed by 20,074 people," California Family Council outreach director Sophia Lorey said. Female high school athletes, their families and supporters brought a petition to a California Interscholastic Federation meeting in Costa Mesa on Friday. The California Family Council organized the petition and a rally outside the meeting. On its website, the council wrote that its mission is "advancing God's design for life, family and liberty through California's church, capitol and culture." Among the athletes was Taylor Starling, who sued the Riverside Unified School District, claiming she was demoted from the varsity cross country team when a transgender student took her spot. "Girls like me are being told to smile, sit down and be quiet and give up what we've worked so hard for," Starling said. "And now, we're the ones being excluded from our own teams. Girls' sports were made to give us a level playing field. Right now, that's not happening in the state of California." Last month, CIF rules were changed at the state track and field championships, where Jurupa Valley High School transgender athlete AB Hernandez competed. Prior to the meet, a new policy was put in place allowing an additional female student to compete and medal in events where Hernandez had qualified. In a news release, a state spokesperson said CIF made the decision to pilot an entry process. "When girls are forced to share the starting line, the locker room or the podium with males, that's not inclusion," Lorey said. "It's injustice and California girls are paying the price." CIF said its mission is to provide students with the opportunity to belong and compete in compliance with the law, irrespective of the gender listed on the student's records.
