With defensive reinforcements imminent, BILD believe Malick Thiaw is the name headlining Bayern Munich's transfer list.
There is initial contact and considerations about the defender, but no concrete offer as of yet has been made.
Thiaw is said to feel comfortable in Milan, but if Bayern make a serious push, he'd be open to a return to Germany.
Bayern are not alone either, with Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen also interested in the defender valued at €25-30million.

Virgil Van Dijk's: The Constant in Liverpool's Historic Success of Recent Years

Virgil van Dijk Remains the World's Best Defender Virgil van Dijk's brilliance has become so reliable that it now risks being taken for granted. While new Liverpool manager Arne Slot made headlines by winning the Premier League in his debut season, and Mohamed Salah dazzled once again, Van Dijk was the constant force holding everything together. His influence is quieter now in the wider football narrative, but it remains just as powerful on the pitch. Advertisement In his second season as Liverpool captain, Van Dijk stepped up following Jurgen Klopp's departure and filled the leadership void left by Jordan Henderson. He didn't just cope with the pressure, he excelled under it, guiding Liverpool to a league title with composure, consistency and class. Photo: IMAGO Rock at the Back Van Dijk made 49 appearances across all competitions, anchoring a defence that was often rotated due to injuries and tactical changes. He didn't just survive the chaos, he provided calm through it. While he had the odd slip, such as a mistake against West Ham, his responses were swift, often followed by commanding performances or crucial goals. Advertisement His presence changes Liverpool's entire defensive line. When he is missing, the team visibly suffers. His positioning, reading of the game and aerial dominance are unmatched, making him a truly irreplaceable figure in the squad. Passing Range and Leadership What often goes unnoticed is Van Dijk's incredible passing. His long diagonals to Salah, Diaz or Gakpo are not just clearance kicks, they are measured attacks in themselves. This level of precision turns defence into attack instantly, giving Liverpool a key weapon in transition. As captain, Van Dijk has brought poise and unity to the club's new era. He rallied the players and even urged fans to create a sea of red in support. He's not only a tactical leader, but an emotional one too. Recognition Long Overdue Despite his impact, Van Dijk has not been widely included in Player of the Season discussions. Much of that is due to Salah's consistent brilliance, but it's also a reflection of how fans become desensitised to greatness. Advertisement Van Dijk is not just still world-class — he's still the best in his position. As Liverpool prepare for their future under Slot, Van Dijk's new contract is a massive boost. He remains the foundation of the team and the perfect leader for this next chapter. This is an abridged version; the full article is available on our 'It Was Always… Liverpool' Substack page:

Ex-Premier League midfielder predicts Saints to 'struggle' under Still

FORMER Premier League midfielder David Dunn has predicted Saints will struggle in the Championship under new boss Will Still. Dunn, a one-time England international, believes new Southampton boss Still faces a real challenge in charge of the recently relegated side. Advertisement Saints are currently the second-favourites to win promotion from the Championship, behind Ipswich, who won 10 points more than them in the Premier League last season. Speaking to OLGB, Dunn said: 'I watched him on Monday Night Football a couple of months ago. He came across well. I think he's done well in his previous job. Will Still cut his teeth in Belgium before making a new for himself in French football. (Image: Southampton FC) READ: Saints fans are right to be excited about Edwards following QPR loan "But again, English football is totally different. I think it's going to be a real challenge, if I'm being honest. Advertisement "He's got to get a real buy-in early doors from the group. I think it's going to be tough. I think Southampton could struggle.' Saints won just 12 points in the Premier League last season, cycling through two managers before appointing Simon Rusk in interim charge until the end of the season. Belgian-born Still has never worked in English senior football, but joins Saints after guiding Lens to an eighth-place finish last season, missing out on Europe by five points. The 32 year old, who has signed a three-year deal, has set out to win promotion in his first season at the club.
