Don't open EA FC 25 Rivals rewards instantly if you want Shapeshifters rewards

Daily Mirror11-06-2025

EA Sports has included Shapeshifters rewards in EA FC 25 Rivals rewards, but you won't be able to get them if you open your rewards as soon as you earn them
If you want to get the best players possible from your EA FC 25 Rivals rewards, then don't open your packs and player picks straight away, and wait a day longer instead.
As always, EA FC 25 Rivals rewards will become available to claim on Thursday at 12am PDT / 3AM EDT / 8am BST for all players in Ultimate Team, giving players the chance to open all the packs and player picks they've earned from playing Rivals over the last week. As you go up the divisions, the EA FC 25 Rivals rewards get better, but as we approach the end-game of EA FC 25 Ultimate Team, EA Sports has boosted all the Rivals rewards, with guaranteed promo player packs included as low as Division 8.

Guaranteed TOTS packs were released for the TOTS promo, and with the Shapeshifters promo up next, EA has now started to include Shapeshifters items in EA FC 25 Rivals rewards. Shapeshifters is one of the biggest promos in the Ultimate Team calendar, and players have been given their first taste of what to expect in the upcoming promo as part of the Season 8 rewards.

The updated EA FC 25 Rivals rewards include packs and player picks that contain either Ultimate TOTS or Shapeshifters players, and with the pack weight for Ultimate TOTS quite weak and Shapeshifters almost guaranteed to have better players, the Ultimate Team community will be praying for players from the latter promo instead.
But, with the Shapeshifters promo not live in Ultimate Team packs until Friday, June 13 at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT/ 6pm BST, if you were to open your Rivals rewards before then, then your guaranteed TOTS/Shapeshifters packs and player picks will only include TOTS players and no Shapeshifters items.
Don't open your EA FC 25 Rivals rewards
With Shapeshifters players not available until Friday, June 13 at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT/ 6pm BST, we recommend saving your EA FC 25 Rivals rewards until the Shapeshifters players are available in packs, as there will be a much better chance of you earning one of these incredible players in your rewards.
Early Shapeshifters leaks have revealed that Icons and Heroes will also be included in the promo, while players will be as high as 98-rated, so you'd be silly not to wait an extra day to open your rewards and try and earn one of these coveted items.
The Shapeshifters promo is expected to last a few weeks in Ultimate Team, meaning Shapeshifters players will be included in Rivals rewards for the next few weeks. But, it's only this week where it makes sense to hold off on opening your Rivals rewards straight away and show a little bit of patience.

Watch Flamengo vs Chelsea for free with Club World Cup clash not on UK TV

With Chelsea set to take on Brazilian side Flamengo at the Club World Cup, here's the kick-off time, streaming details and Blues team news as Enzo Maresca prepares to make changes Chelsea continue their FIFA Club World Cup campaign against iconic Brazilian side Flamengo. The Blues made a winning start at the expanded 32-team tournament, which they qualified for thanks to winning the Champions League four years ago. Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez scored the goals as Enzo Maresca's side defeated Los Angeles FC in front of a sparse crowd in Atlanta. Neto opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark before £30million summer signing Liam Delap made his mark as a second-half substitute by setting up Fernandez to seal the points 11 minutes from time. ‌ Maresca was already looking ahead to Friday's clash with Flamengo in his post-match interview. He said: "We have to recover. We have a game in three days so we will see. We are going to prepare in the best way and for sure try to win." ‌ Addressing the impact of Delap, he added: "The good thing about Liam is he knows the way we want to play so the process is quite quick. Also, we gave a chance to Dario Essugo [who completed his move to Chelsea from Sporting Lisbon before the tournament], which is another player we have, so it's good for both of them." Here's the lowdown ahead of the game, including kick-off time, live streaming details and team news… What time does Flamengo vs Chelsea kick-off? The Group D game at the 67,000-capacity Lincoln Financial Field - home of the Philadelphia Eagles NFL team - kicks off at 2pm local time (7pm BST). Where can you watch Flamengo vs Chelsea? While Channel 5 has picked up the rights to select number of games from the tournament, that does not include Flamengo vs Chelsea. DAZN are the tournament's main rights holder, with the streaming service showing every game live for free in the UK. To take advantage, viewers must sign up to DAZN's Freemium service. By signing up to the platform, customers won't be subject to hidden costs and will be able to watch the games through the DAZN App via smart TV, phones, tablets and laptops. ‌ Ad-free coverage is available for £14.99. Channel 5 will broadcast Chelsea's final group match against Esperance de Tunis on Wednesday (2am BST). What is the Flamengo vs Chelsea team news? Following a long season, including a victorious run in the Europa Conference League, Maresca refreshingly has a fully fit 24-man squad to pick from. Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix were left at home following their loan spells at Arsenal and AC Milan, respectively. However, changes will be made to the starting XI. The Blues boss said: "No injuries at the moment, but because it's a tournament and we have a game every three days, we need to rotate players. ‌ "I'm not saying we're going to rotate 10 or 11 players each game, but we will need to rotate three, four or five players each game for sure. This is because we cannot play every three days with the same players. "The ones we tried to rotate a little bit in the first game are the ones we have tried to rotate since day one: Romeo [Lavia] and Reece [James]. We also gave some minutes off to Moi [Moises Caicedo], who has played the whole season, by bringing on Dario Essugo. We will try to continue on that." What we know about EA FC 26 – expected release date, leaks and new FUT Heroes

EA FC 26 will be the next EA Sports FC game to be released, with the game projected to drop in a few months. With EA FC 25 coming towards the end of its cycle, all eyes are now turning to the future, with EA FC 26 the next game to be released by EA Sports. We're rapidly approaching year three of EA Sports ' EA Sports FC era, with EA FC 26 set to be released this fall, as confirmed by EA in its Q4 and FY25 results. A tough start to life for EA FC 25 saw EA admit at the beginning of the year that EA FC 25 had 'underperformed' financially in its preliminary Q3 FY2025 results, but after an impressive gameplay update, the game seems to be back on track, giving players of the game some optimisim ahead of EA FC 26's release later this year. Based on past releases, we should start to get our first official look at EA FC 26 in July, but once again, leakers have beaten EA to the punch, with lots of EA FC 26 information starting to circulate on social media. ‌ From new game additions to when EA FC 26 will be released worldwide, leaks are appearing more and more each day, so here's everything we know about EA FC 26 so far, and all the leaks we've found on social media in one place. ‌ EA FC 26 leaks round-up Here are all the EA FC 26 leaks we know so far. There seem to be endless amounts of leaks out there at the moment, so we've whittled it down and included leaks from sources that have proven reliable in the past. EA FC 26 leaked release date and expected price Starting strong, one of the most reliable leakers in the game, @FutSheriff, has revealed the EA FC 26 release date, with the leaker claiming that the EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition will be released on September 19, 2025, while the EA FC 26 Standard Edition will be released on September 26, 2025. Debunking any theories of an August release, the leaker has a proven track record when it comes to leaks, and the majority of EA's past EA Sports FC and FIFA have been released in the last week of September, so this looks to be nailed on. Price-wise, there have been no leaks as of yet, but as reported by Esports Insider, EA CFO Stuart Canfield confirmed during an earnings call that EA isn't planning a change in its current strategy, meaning EA FC 26 should be priced the same as EA FC 25. So, we can expect that these will be the EA FC 26 prices when the same is released in September: EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition (PlayStation, Xbox, and PC) - £99.99 / $99.99 / AU$149.95 EA FC 26 Standard Edition (PlayStation, Xbox, PC) - £69.99 / $69.99 / AU$109.95 For Nintendo Switch players, the EA FC 25 Ultimate Edition was released at £69.99 / $69.99 / AU$119.95 while the EA FC 25 Standard Edition cost £54.99 / $54.99 / AU$89.95. But, with Nintendo Switch 2 now available, we expect EA FC 26 will likely be priced the same as the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions of the game. ‌ EA FC 26 leaked FUT Heroes More of a potential slip-up by EA rather than a leak, but some of the new FUT Heroes coming in EA FC 26 may have already been revealed, and it's been there for all to see since March. As we reported a few months ago, Nexon, one of the developers of EA Sports FC Mobile, a PC and Mobile version of EA Sports FC, which is only available in South Korea, China, Thailand and Vietnam, posted a bunch of unseen FUT Heroes in a blog post. 19 new FUT Heroes were being added to the game, but eight of them are not in EA FC 25, so they could be coming to EA FC 26. The eight FUT Heroes are as follows: Cesc Fabregas (Spain) Michael Carrick (England) Marouane Fellaini (Belgium) Mario Mandzukic (Croatia) Andrea Barzagli (Italy) Jan Koller (Czech Republic) Estaban Cambiasso (Argentina) Gilberto Silva (Brazil) ‌ EA tends to add a handful of new Heroes to the game each year, but this doesn't mean that all of these players are guaranteed to feature in EA FC 26. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. EA FC 26 leaked Ultimate Team changes @DetectiveFUT is the source of the majority of FC 26 Ultimate Team leaks, with the leaker having a proven track record with Ultimate Team leaks during EA FC 25. According to the leaker, we could be set for a big shake-up to some of the biggest game modes in EA FC 26 Ultimate Team, including a change to FUT Champions. According to @DetectiveFUT, Champions Play-Offs will be scrapped, meaning you will no longer have to qualify for FUT Champions Finals before playing. But, there will now be two different FUT Champions events each week instead – FUT Champions and FUT Champions Challengers. ‌ Players who are in Division 5 or higher in Division Rivals will qualify for FUT Champions, while players in Division 6 or lower will qualify for FUT Champions Challengers. The leaker has also revealed a change is coming to Division Rivals in EA FC 26. Checkpoints are being turned into 'Stage Events', with each Stage Event featuring an objective that can give out extra rewards. For example, the objective may be to score first in your next game, and if you do so, you could earn some extra rewards. If you go on a win streak, you will earn double Rivals points, while there is also relegation protection for tough runs. The leaker hasn't elaborated on the latter, so we'll have to wait and see what the criteria is for that. The leaker also reported that EA is testing a penalty system for players who quit too many games to try and stop players from regularly leaving games. This may be the best addition of them all if true. ‌ Lastly, @DetectiveFUT has claimed that a big focus for EA in EA FC 26 could be Live Events and Tournaments in Ultimate Team. According to the leaker, there will be up to two tournaments per week, both competitive and friendly. Qualification for tournaments may be needed, and winning the tournaments could give you bonus rewards on top of early access to SBCs. The leaker also claims that these tournaments will be in the form of Live Events and that it's not a new game mode. EA FC 26 leaked gameplay updates Once again, coming from @DetectiveFUT, the leaker has revealed some new additions coming to EA FC 26 gameplay, including new Player Roles, updated PlayStyles, and a new Tactical Focus. Here are all the new additions in full: New Player Roles CB: Wide Back CDM: Box Crasher LB/RB: Inverted Wingback ‌ We guess that Wide Back will be most useful for left and right centre-backs in three-at-the-back and five-at-the-back formations, Box Crasher will instruct your CDM to make late runs into the box to meet crosses, and Inverted Wingback will have your fullbacks play high and central, almost as two extra attacking midfielders. PlayStyle Updates Enforcer (NEW) Aerial - Aerial Fortress Flair - Trailblazer Trivela - Inventive We don't really have any idea what these new PlayStyles could mean. We predict Enforcer could be a PlayStyle best suited to defensive midfielders, while the updated names for Aerial, Flair and Trivela may simply just be name changes. New Tactical Focus A new Tactical Focus called 'Versatility' is reportedly coming to EA FC 26. We predict this could be a set-up that allows your players to adapt to opponents' tactics, but this could limit player familiarity with certain roles and positions. EA FC 26 cover star The EA FC 26 cover star will be announced when EA starts to reveal information about the new game in July, and as always, there's lots of speculation over who it could be. Jude Bellingham? Mohamed Salah? Lamine Yamal? Well, we already know for a fact it can't be the latter. Yamal was revealed as an ambassador for eFootball, previously known as Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), earlier this year, meaning the Spaniard cannot be on the cover of EA FC 26. Bellingham will likely feature on the cover once again in EA FC 26 after making his debut on the front of the game in EA FC 25.

British and Irish Lions tour fixtures, morning kick-off times and TV channels

The British and Irish Lions are set to take on the best of Australia in the 2025 tour with Andy Farrell taking charge of the squad for the first time against Argentina on Friday The 2025 British and Irish Lions tour has been a tantalising prospect for months. Now the time for talking is almost over and game time is upon us. Andy Farrell's squad will face Argentina in Dublin for their first match on Friday night, before jetting off to Australia to challenge the finest rugby talent Down Under. After the game, the Lions will depart for Australia on Sunday, with the inaugural tour match scheduled for Saturday, June 28. ‌ With the 2025 Lions Tour arriving, here's everything you need to know about the trip to Australia. ‌ What time are the Lions tour matches on TV? During their stay in Australia, the Lions will compete in nine matches, including a three-match Test series against the Wallabies towards the end of the tour. All matches commence at 11:00 BST. The only exception is the Friday night encounter in Dublin, which begins at 20:00 BST. You can catch all the action live and exclusively on Sky Sports. There will also be extensive same-day highlights and analysis of every match. Expert commentary is expected from Warren Gatland and Dan Biggar, while Joe Marler is tipped to be joining the pundit team. Full Schedule Friday, 20 June - Lions v Argentina, Dublin (Aviva Stadium). Saturday, 28 June - Lions v Western Force, Perth (Optus Stadium). ‌ Wednesday, 2 July - Lions v Queensland Reds, Brisbane (Suncorp Stadium). Saturday, 5 July - Lions v NSW Waratahs, Sydney (Allianz Stadium). Wednesday, 9 July - Lions v ACT Brumbies, Canberra (GIO Stadium). ‌ Saturday, 12 July - Lions v Invitational AU and NZ, Adelaide (Adelaide Oval). What's the plan if the scores are tied? One innovation being considered for the latest Lions Tour is the introduction of a golden-point overtime system. Following the finish to the 2017 series, Rugby Australia's Phil Waugh has put forward the idea to The British and Irish Lions board, eager to prevent another "anti-climax", a term used by former captain Sam Warburton to describe the drawn series eight years ago. The British and Irish Lions board continues to deliberate on the suggestion. ‌ Waugh is backing the implementation of the 20-minute red card rule for the series as well, following its effective application in this year's Six Nations, which allows a team to substitute a player sent off with a red card after 20 minutes. Full Lions Squad In early May, head coach Andy Farrell unveiled the 38-player squad jetting off to Australia. Here's the full roster for the Lions: ‌ Forwards (21) Tadhg Beirne (Munster Rugby/Ireland) Ollie Chessum (Leicester Tigers/England). ‌ Jack Conan (Leinster Rugby/Ireland) Luke Cowan-Dickie (Sale Sharks/England) Scott Cummings (Glasgow Warriors/ Scotland). ‌ Tom Curry (Sale Sharks/England) Ben Earl (Saracens/England). Finlay Bealham (Connacht/Ireland). ‌ Tadhg Furlong (Leinster Rugby/Ireland) Ellis Genge (Bristol Bears/England). Maro Itoje (Saracens/England)(C). ‌ Ronan Kelleher (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). Joe McCarthy (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). Jac Morgan (Ospreys/Wales). ‌ Henry Pollock (Northampton Saints/England). Andrew Porter (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). James Ryan (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). ‌ Dan Sheehan (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). Pierre Schoeman (Edinburgh Rugby/Scotland). Will Stuart (Bath Rugby/England). ‌ Josh van der Flier (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). Backs (17) Bundee Aki (Connacht Rugby/Ireland) ‌ Elliot Daly (Saracens/England) Tommy Freeman (Northampton Saints/England). Jamison Gibson-Park (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). ‌ Mack Hansen (Connacht Rugby/Ireland). Huw Jones (Glasgow Warriors/Scotland). Hugo Keenan (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). ‌ Blair Kinghorn (Toulouse/Scotland). James Lowe (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). Alex Mitchell (Northampton Saints/England). ‌ Garry Ringrose (Leinster Rugby/Ireland). Finn Russell (Bath Rugby/Scotland) Fin Smith (Northampton Saints/England). ‌ Marcus Smith (Harlequins/ England) Sione Tuipulotu (Glasgow Warriors/Scotland). Duhan van der Merwe (Edinburgh Rugby/Scotland)
