Love Island twist as Big Brother star set to enter the villa to shake things up
Zak Srakaew is set to shake things up in the Love Island USA villa and he arrived as a 'Casa Amor boy' but fans in the UK will have to wait to see his search for romance
Big Brother star Zak Srakaew has landed in Love Island USA in a first for the programme.
The ASOS model-turned-reality star has entered as a Casa Amor boy, and is sure to shake things up. He burst onto the scene two years ago but didn't last long after becoming the second housemate to get the boot.
He moved to Manchester from Thailand when he was a child and is in the States and after finding fame on the show two years ago, he is now hunting for love. There has already been plenty of drama so far and the UK audience are keen to know what's happening across the pond.
But they will have to wait to see Zak in action - Love Island USA is not currently available to watch in the UK, but it may air on ITVX and ITV2 in the future, with previous seasons of the reality show available. Fans in America have already seen a love triangle and various arguments and a surprise performance from Megan Thee Stallion.
Last night, Love Island UK viewers watched Harry Cooksley burst into tears during a conversation with Dejon. The gold trader and semi-professional footballer was dealt a huge blow after his actions caused upset in the villa. Harry, 30, was dumped by Helena Ford, 29, when it came to light that he'd kissed Yasmin Pettet. However, things became even more tricky when it emerged that he'd not only kissed her once, but went in for three kisses, leaving Helena in fits of rage after Harry attempted to lie about his kisses.
Helena fumed she was "done" with Harry after he'd embarrassed her, but he was quick to attempt to defend his actions, replying: "We both said we were open to exploring new connections." Helena later flipped out, saying that their agreement wasn't to include going to the Hideaway and "necking" someone three times.
But it appears that Harry's actions have caught up with him, and while they weren't documented on the main show, Love Island: Aftersun revealed his emotional conversation.
Dejon said: "If I could have it my way, you and Helena would be together. You two get along, you two, I can clearly see there's a connection between you two.
"What matters is what you want, innit?" Responding, Harry said: "Yeah, we just have, like, nothing, do you know what I mean?" as he wiped away tears. He added: "Where it's just like, we were good and then it's just like, she just can't even be around me. It's just weird, man."
Former Love Island star Malin Andersson, who shot to fame on series two, has radically changed her opinion of the hit dating show, branding it 'full of toxicity' and insisting it should be axed. She took aim, saying: I haven't watched any of them. It should be axed. When I was on it, we were naive, it felt more organic – still scripted but more authentic.
"Even then, it wasn't pure, it was full of toxicity. Now millions watch it, especially young people, and their idea of love gets completely skewed. Some contestants spiral completely. Did you ever feel like that on the show? Oh, 100%. I felt disposable, like a piece of rubbish tossed aside. In there, you're fighting to be seen, to be a main character, seeking validation. It's not healthy – it creates unrealistic drama and messes up how viewers see love.
"The whole thing is toxic and should go in the bin. Let's talk about the time when you came back in to confront Terry. How did that happen? I was already partying in Spain when Emma [Jane Woodhams] went in with the TOWIE lot. They realised I was nearby and asked me to come in too. So I did the next day. Were you watching the show then?
"No. I was just partying and Tweeting stuff to provoke producers to get me back in – and it worked. How did you feel after confronting Terry? Did it bring clarity? No, it just showed me that I had been attracting terrible men my whole life until I figured out why."
