Nani TROLLED For Justifying HIT 3 Success Meet Amid Rising India-Pak Tensions

Nani faced backlash for not cancelling HIT 3's success meet amid India-Pakistan tensions. His speech urging not to give Pakistan the "satisfaction" was also criticised online.
Nani, who was recently seen in HIT 3, was slammed online for not cancelling the success meet of his film amid the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. Furthermore, his speech at the event – where he urged his followers not to give Pakistan the 'satisfaction" of cancelling a press meet – was slammed by a section of social media users.
At a time when almost every possible release or events are being postponed, Nani choosing to host HIT 3 success meet was criticised by many social media users. Once on the stage, the actor explained as to why one he decided to go ahead with the event. Acknowleding the rising tension between the two nations, Nani said at the event in Hyderabad, 'Let us talk about what's happening in the country. Operation Sindoor and what followed next. I was speaking to the team today about whether it's okay to have a success event in a sensitive time like this. But I immediately felt that the situation was sensitive because those people (terrorists) tried to create a problem for us. Our Indian Army responded to them with focus, in a dignified manner."
His later part of the speech didn't sit well with select netizens. He said, 'Let's not give them the satisfaction of even feeling that a success meet in some part of India was cancelled due to what they did. We have the responsibility of making a statement and showing them they weren't able to touch us. Let's salute the Indian Armed Forces and respect everyone fighting on the front lines. We are able to leave our homes and function normally only because of them."
As the video went viral, Reddit users shared their varied thoughts. 'This is what happens when lot of people think these people are gods. They start believing it themselves," wrote a user, slamming Nani. Another added, 'Indeed it could have been avoided atleast by 1 week. Such a L move by Nani."
A social media offered fair explanation into the matter: 'I'll play the devil's advocate here: If we stop our activities that should be ongoing normally, it would be like Pak had made an impact disrupting our natural flow of things. I've seen Paks on twitter celebrating that they stopped IPL from happening. Ofcourse no one gives two shits about Hit 3 in pak that's why Nani's statement feels ridiculous. But I get the base sentiment he's trying to say." 'Why t* should people stop doing their work because of a terrorist country? what even is this argument?," a Nani fan chipped in.
Nani has yet to react to the controversy over his speech.

"In Middle Of...": Rohit Sharma Narrates Tale Of His Romantic Proposal To Wife Ritika Sajdeh

India ODI captain Rohit Sharma opened up on his romantic marriage proposal to wife Ritika Sajdeh. Rohit announced his Test retirement last month and is currently not part of the Indian team for the ongoing Test series against England. He was last seen in action during the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) season. During an interaction with former India spinner Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra, Rohit narrated the tale of how he orchestrated a surprise proposal by taking Ritika to his childhood cricket ground. Rohit also revealed that he took Ritika to the ground under the pretense of having ice cream. "My proposal was quite romantic. I took her to the place where I started playing cricket. We were here only (somewhere along Marine Drive apparently). She had brought food from home. We ate it. So, I was just sitting. Then I told her let's go out to eat ice cream, I'm bored. Then we took the car out, we left. We left from Marine Drive, crossed Haji Ali, Worli. So, she asked where is the ice cream shop? She does not know anything after Bandra. I told her there's a good one in Borivali, where I live. You've never come, so let me show you," revealed Rohit. Rohit recalled that he got down on one knee to propose Ritika in the middle of ground, a moment which was beautifully captured by his friends. "It was a ground and it was pitch dark and she didn't realise it was a ground. Then I had already told my friend to set up something there at the ground and just be there to capture the moment. We parked the car. Then I went on my knees, in the middle of the pitch. Then, I proposed to her," he added. Rohit's retirement from Test cricket came days before former India Virat Kohli also made the shock announcement that he won't be playing in the whites again for India either. Both Rohit and Kohli had also retired from T20Is last year, following India's win over South Africa in the T20 World Cup final.

Aly Goni Posts Sidharth-Kiara Meme, Writes 'Enough Internet For Today'

Recently, the Laughter Chefs contestant shared an old photo of Jasmin on his Instagram stories, where she was seen wearing a white crop-top and jeans. Aly captioned the picture with, 'Kya Jasmin chapri hai (Is Jasmin tacky)," and added a laughing emoji. In response, Jasmin shared a sketch of Aly and wrote, 'Kya Aly chapri hai (Is Aly tacky)". Although Aly was playfully teasing his girlfriend on social media, the 'chapri" comment did not sit well with netizens. Many users took to Reddit to criticise Aly, expressing their disappointment in his words. Some accused him of disrespecting his girlfriend, while others labelled him a 'red flag". 'Who posts like this about their girlfriend?" one user commented. 'This guy is such a red flag, it's unreal," another added. One netizen even described them as 'a weird couple." Another user wrote, 'They both are d**b actually. It's not even funny, but still, Jasmin posted a sketch of him, but Aly posting this picture is just gross." However, fans of Aly and Jasmin came to their defence, suggesting that since the actors have moved in together, calling each other 'chapri" on Instagram might simply be a playful dare. As for Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, the couple met on the sets of Shershaah and fell in love. They got married in 2023, and are now awaiting the birth of their first child.
