According to a report from RMC Sport, Paul Pogba (32) is targeting a return to the France national team, with the midfielder keen to be involved in Didier Deschamps' squad for the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
The 2018 World Cup winner is once more free to play football after his ban from the sport for doping charges was reduced from four years to 18 months. In January, the Frenchman was allowed to return to training, and then in March, he was allowed to play.

In November 2024, he agreed to mutually terminate his contract with Juventus. However, despite the ban coming to an end, he did not immediately return to club football and has instead opted to wait until after the 2024/25 season to join a new club. Recently, he has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 with AS Monaco reportedly close to agreeing a deal.
It would be the first time that Pogba has tasted the French top flight. Despite having spent time at the Le Havre AC academy, he was snapped up by Manchester United, where he would go on to make his professional debut.

Chiefs' Travis Kelce Reveals Retirement Update and Where He 'Failed' In 2024

Chiefs' Travis Kelce Reveals Retirement Update and Where He 'Failed' In 2024 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The 2024 season was one to forget for Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, not because of his regular-season stats, but also for how the year ended with the Super Bowl defeat. Advertisement Kelce finished the regular season with his lowest yards (823) and touchdown (three) totals since his rookie year, as he seemed to struggle more than we have ever seen him do. Then, in the 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, Kelce had just four catches for 39 yards in another poor performance. And Kelce, as minicamp gets underway, was honest about his shortcomings last season. 'To be the best teammate, be the best leader I can,' Kelce said on his expectations for 2025. 'Last year, I think I failed especially in that last game, being a leader and being the one that could step up and make plays. So, just setting the bar even higher for myself this year than I have in the past.' Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Burke-Imagn Images Kelce added that the retirement rumors are premature. Advertisement 'I got one year on this contract,' he said. 'I know that. We'll try and figure out something for next year. The Chiefs organization knows how much I love them. I can't see myself ever playing anywhere else.' More Kelce? Granted, over 800 yards for a tight end is nothing to sneeze at, but given that it is Kelce, and he has had an incredibly high standard of play for over a decade, it is jarring when he doesn't play up to it. But it is a new year, and 2024 is firmly behind Kelce as he enters his 13th NFL season looking to bounce back from a down year and be the leader and teammate he knows he can be. Advertisement And if the Chiefs are to make something of this upcoming season, and who knows, even win the Super Bowl, then we think Kelce will have a significant role to play in the franchise achieving it. But to be "that" guy again, it all starts in the offseason, and Kelce is already turning over every stone to be a better version of himself. … maybe for more than just one season. FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Botafogo stuns PSG, 1-0, in tournament's first major upset

Throughout the first round of the 2025 Club World Cup, the matchups between European giants and non-European underdogs has had a sense of lopsidedness. But on Thursday, that dynamic finally flipped, as Botafogo earned a stunning 1-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the second game of the group stage. After a decisive 4-0 win over Atlético Madrid last weekend, PSG could have secured a spot in the knockout round of the tournament. Instead, in front of a loud contingent of Brazilian fans at the Rose Bowl, Botafogo was triumphant. Advertisement PSG was, stats-wise, the better team throughout the game: They dominated possession (75%-25%), and had more shots on goal. But one goal was all Botafogo needed to get the win. Botafogo quickly squared up against PSG, holding off multiple chances throughout the first half. And then, perhaps improbably, the Brazilian club struck first in the 36th minute. Striker Igor Jesus took on two defenders on a fast break before burying the ball into the net and give Botafogo the lead. As the game progressed, PSG could not get the equalizer: Early in the second half, multiple set piece opportunities fell flat. Later on, in the 79th minute, a strike was called back due to offsides. PSG had several chances in the box that were snatched away by Botafogo's deep defending, and a few stunning saves from keeper John. Advertisement As the game moved into stoppage time, PSG seemed in place to secure that long-awaited goal, with a free kick just outside the box. But the strike from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia went over the top of the goal, keeping Botafogo's lead alive. Even in the final minutes of stoppage time, PSG was still hunting for that game-tying goal, but the club could not break Botafogo's narrow lead. This story will be updated.

Colorado Buffaloes Capture Attention with Four-Star Recruits Visiting Boulder

Colorado Buffaloes Capture Attention with Four-Star Recruits Visiting Boulder originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Boulder Bound: Colorado's Recruiting Momentum Heats Up Again The lights are bright in Boulder this weekend, and not just because of the Rocky Mountain sun. The Colorado Buffaloes are welcoming a group of elite prospects who could redefine the team's future, starting with a key recruiting weekend beginning June 20. Advertisement In a summer full of visits and commitments, this weekend's group is different. These are names that can change a program. Three of the four official visitors are consensus four-star talents, and all have high-major interest. Here are the names Buffaloes fans need to know: Preston Ashley | CB | Brandon, Mississippi Ashley, a dynamic 5-foot-10 cornerback with experience at safety, is a top-25 player at his position and the No. 9 recruit in Mississippi, per 247Sports Composite. His elite versatility makes him a must-get, especially for a defense still carving out its identity in the Big-12. He's narrowed his options to Colorado, Florida State, and Florida. The Buffs have an edge in this race as Ashley is believed to be intrigued by Coach Prime's defensive pedigree and the opportunity to play early in a hybrid role reminiscent of Colorado's former standout Cam'Ron Silmon-Craig. Advertisement Rodney Colton Jr. | LB | Newnan, Georgia Colorado is also all-in on linebacker Rodney Colton Jr., who would be the Buffs' highest-rated linebacker commit under Coach Prime. Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 200 pounds, Colton is explosive off the edge and aggressive in coverage, and is exactly the kind of game-changer Colorado needs at the second level. A former South Carolina commit, Colton has Colorado in his top five alongside FSU, Penn State, Ole Miss, and UCLA. He's announcing on July 12, and this weekend's visit could tip the scales. Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders leads out the team before the game against the Cincinnati Bearcats at Folsom Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders leads out the team before the game against the Cincinnati Bearcats at Folsom Field. CJ Sadler | ATH | Detroit, Michigan If there's a prospect who mirrors Travis Hunter's dynamic impact potential, it's CJ Sadler. Ranked as Michigan's top player and a top-10 national athlete, Sadler is electric on both sides of the ball. At 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds, he projects as both a slot receiver and inside defensive back. Advertisement Sadler has kept his official visits limited to Colorado, North Carolina, and Maryland, despite offers from Alabama, LSU, and Michigan. That's telling. His commitment is scheduled for August 15, but Boulder could leave a lasting impression this weekend. The Underdog to Watch: Maurice Williams Don't sleep on three-star CB Maurice Williams out of New Orleans. Already a Liberty commit, Williams is fresh off another visit with the Flames, but his trip to Boulder, combined with recent Power Four offers, makes him a dark horse flip candidate. He helped lead Edna Karr to a state title in 2025 and brings track speed and physical instincts to the cornerback position. A strong visit could shift his trajectory. Advertisement Colorado's Weekend Could Spark a Recruiting Surge The Buffaloes know what's at stake. This weekend is about more than tours and photo ops, it's about laying the foundation for a top-25 class and flipping the script on last season's depth struggles. With high-profile commitments looming in July and August, the Buffs' pitch in Boulder needs to hit home. If Colorado can land just two of the four prospects on campus this weekend, it could be the recruiting turning point that fans have been waiting for.
