Liverpool forward has FINALLY decided which club he will join
Liverpool are planning to overhaul their forward options during the upcoming transfer window. Sporting director Richard Hughes has already strengthened the right flank with the acquisition of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen but the club won't stop there.
The blockbuster £100m+ transfer for Florian Wirtz is nearing its conclusion - a move which will give the Reds an attacking totem to build around for years to come.

Hughes and head coach Arne Slot are also seeking to add a new centre-forward, with Alexander Isak, Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike among the players linked.
In order to facilitate these incomings, the Merseyside outfit require departures. Darwin Nunez, Ben Doak and Luis Diaz are among the forward options considered at risk this summer.
And one more title winner looks like he is living his last days as a Liverpool player - despite joining the club less than 12 months ago.
Federico Chiesa tipped to leave Liverpool
Federico Chiesa, 27, moved to Anfield from Juventus back in September in what was seen as an opportunistic deal. The fee for the Italian international could reach £12.5m overall but even at that price the Reds haven't got value out of Chiesa.

He played only SIX times last season in the Premier League - for a total of 104 minutes - and barely contributed on the starts he was permitted in other competitions.
The writing was on the wall for the Euro 2020 winner back in January, when several Serie A clubs came forward for the 'homesick' forward.
But Chiesa opted to remain for the second half of the season, earning a Premier League winner's medal, and now it looks like his departure is imminent.
Real Betis and AC Milan are reckoned to be keen on his signature but now a clear frontrunner appears to have emerged.

Chiesa's priority is Napoli
Italian title winners Napoli are known to be keen on upgrading their forward line this summer having lost Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain back in January.

Napoli coach Antonio Conte would like to add Chiesa to the ranks, according to reports in Italy, and now it's been claimed that the Diego Maradona Stadium is the player's preference.
"Chiesa would return to Italy,' states Sportitalia journalist Alfredo Padulla. 'If it were up to him, he would go to Napoli, because Conte respects him a lot, because the conditions could be right. Milan also like Chiesa, but his priority is Napoli.'
Previous attempts from Italy to bring Chiesa home came to nothing and that has been attributed to the player's salary demands. With a pay packet reaching a reported £120k per week, the former Fiorentina winger is out of reach for most of the league.

Sasa Kalajdzic expresses enthusiasm for potential Bundesliga return
Recently linked with a return to the Bundesliga, Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic has spoken on potentially suiting up for another German club. The former Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt man could well imagine continuing his career in Germany. Kalajdzic spoke at length about his former Swabian side in a Kicker interview. 'I even considered flying to Berlin,' Kalajdzic enthusiastically remarked when commenting on Stuttgart's DFB-Pokal Final tie against Arminia Bielefeld. 'but that would have been too difficult. I watched on TV and was extremely happy. The club and the fans deserve it, and so does the team. They play great football and rewarded themselves for a season with more ups than downs. Advertisement 'I've said many times that VfB [Stuttgart] is the club closest to my heart,' Kalajdzic also said. 'I watch almost every game. I'm still in touch with some of the players I have a lot of friends there. My wife also felt very much at home in Stuttgart. VfB is my first big love in football, and it always will be. I'm happy that the clu.b is where it is now. I hope it can climb even higher, because I believe VfB belongs at the top.' As to whether he could envision perhaps returning to Stuttgart to play someday, the 27-year-old obviously needed to note that his familiarity with the team precluded such a possibility. Kalajdzic can't hope to accuse playing time behind the likes of strikers Deniz Undav, Ermedin Demirovic, and current 'man-of-the-moment' Nick Woltemade. There's also the matter of the Austrian international's troubled injury history. 'VfB has three strikers, and all three did well last season,' Kalajdzic said. 'A loan always has to make sense. In football, it's rare or even unheard of to sign someone just because they had a great past or out of love. Everything has to fit. I'm not in a position [due to the injury history] where I can point to a club and say, 'That's where I want to play.',' Kalajdzic nevertheless did drop strong hints that he wised to play football in the country of his mother tongue and comfortable culture. His words on life in Wolverhampton surely solicited a chuckle out of most readers. Advertisement 'It's a smaller city,' Kalajdzic said of his West Midlands home, 'Life here is a bit different from what I was used to – the culture, the food, the lifestyle. In Germany, people go out to a café or eat out when the weather is nice. In England, they do that too, but there's also a big pub culture, which isn't really my thing. But that doesn't mean that life here is worse. The people are very nice and crazy about football.' The most telling quote of the interview still revealed where the two-meter-tall forward wished to be. 'I know the Bundesliga, and the Bundesliga knows me,' Kalajdzic said. 'So it would be a good fit. And I would never close any doors – but that applies in general, not just to VfB. I just want to be back on the pitch and playing! Spain, Germany, or Italy would be options for me, but I'm not ruling out staying in Wolverhampton.' GGFN | Peter Weis

Aston Villa Star Is Desperate For A Move To Manchester United: Should Amorim Go For Him?
Aston Villa Star Is Desperate For A Move To Manchester United: Should Amorim Go For Him? In a recent report, The Sun claimed that Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez is desperate for a move to Manchester United this summer. It is understood that the Argentine talent is keen on sealing a move to the Mancunian club this off-season. Martinez's Impressive Form In English Football Last Season Martinez had an impressive season at the West Midlands club after he put in a series of solid performances for them in the Premier League. The Argentina international participated in 53 matches for the Villans in the previous campaign, conceding 61 goals and keeping 16 clean sheets in multiple competitions. Advertisement The 32-year-old managed to catch the eye at times for Aston Villa and did well to complete 78.7% of his attempted passes in the Premier League (stats via His current contract at Villa Park will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, Man United would have to launch a big offer if they want to recruit the Argentine custodian in this transfer window. BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA – JUNE 10: Emiliano Martínez of Argentina handles the ball during the FIFA World Cup 2026 South American Qualifier match between Argentina and Colombia at Estadio Más Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti on June 10, 2025 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. (Photo by) Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Go For Martinez? Martinez can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks when he is playing with confidence on the field. He doesn't mind putting his foot through the ball when being chased down by the opposition attacker and is a solid handler of the ball as well. Advertisement The Argentine keeper has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won't take much time to settle into life at Man United. Martinez would undoubtedly enhance the quality of Ruben Amorim's first XI. He would serve as an upgrade over Andre Onana who struggled to be consistent with his performances for the Mancunian club last season. At 32, Martinez has still got a few good years left in his locker to play at a high level. He might even help the Red Devils push for a European spot in the Premier League next season. With all things considered, Man United would be wise to go for a player of Martinez's quality and experience this summer. However, he won't be a long-term fix to their goalkeeping concerns, so Amorim might be better off signing a younger option in this transfer window.

Liverpool closing in on agreement to sign Sadio Mane 2.0
According to journalist Nabil Djellit Liverpool are close to agreeing a €1m deal to sign Sidy Bahama Ndiaye. The 2009-born 15-year-old Senegalese winger is likely to join the Reds from his academy Diambars. Advertisement This is an interesting move. Ndiaye is regarded as a big prospect, who was playing an age-group above his peers at the recent U17 AFCON and certainly caught the eye. But being 15-years-old, Ndiaye will not be able to join the club until he celebrates his 18th birthday as per FIFA rules. His birthday is in December so that won't happen until December 2027, which means the earliest transfer window Ndiaye could join the club is the January 2028 one, which will be in around two and a half years. Liverpool haven't done this kind of deal pretty much ever. But it's not unprecedented in the world of football. Advertisement Chelsea signed Kendry Paez two years ago and he's only been able to complete that move this year. It's clearly a direction Liverpool want to head towards. That's why they appointed Kyle Wallbanks as the club's Global Talent Scouting Manager. In this role Wallbanks' job is to identify the next emerging talent and recruit them, which will be even more necessary if FSG move towards the multi-club model with Michael Edwards. Ndiaye has clearly been flagged by Wallbanks as one of those potential players. And it's easy to see why. There are shades of Mane about him, who is the last Senegalese to play for Liverpool. Ndiaye has the same sheer speed. Advertisement When he runs with the ball at full flow defenders find it impossible to stop him. He's incredibly fast and the only way he could be stopped at the U17 AFCON is by being chopped down over and over again by the clumsy feet of opposition defenders. Overall, he averages 8.84 dribbles per 90, which is an extremely productive return. His end product was lacking a little but that's something that can be improved. He's still only 15 years old and has plenty of time to reach the levels he needs to reach.
