
VITB wraps up week-long FDP
Bhimavaram: The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Vishnu Institute of Technology (Autonomous) (VITB) here in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University College of Engineering, JNTU-Kakinada organised week-long Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 'Modern Trends and Technologies in Mechanical Engineering' from June 16 to 20.
Distinguished speakers including Dr M Ravi Sankar (IIT Tirupati), Dr P Vamsi Krishna (NIT Warangal), Dr T Babu Rao and Dr T Karthikeya Sharma (NIT-AP), Dr SVAR Sastry (HBTU Kanpur), Dr P Sudhakar Rao (NITTTR Chandigarh), M Sridhar (TCS Engg Services), M Lakshmi Kanth (BHEL Vizag) delivered expert sessions on advanced topics such as Machine Learning in Metal Deposition, Compact Heat Exchangers, Hybrid Machining, AI in Manufacturing and Environmental Sustainability.
The FDP was jointly coordinated by Prof Dr D Linga Raju, UCE, JNTUK and Dr K Anupama Francy, Associate Professor, VITB, reflecting the strong academic partnership between the two institutions.
Principal Dr M Venu and Vice-Principal Prof M Srilakshmi of VITB also attended the valedictory session.

Five-day faculty development programme begins
Bhimavaram: Principal of SRKR Engineering College Dr KV Muralikrishnam Raju stated here on Monday that before teaching new topics to students, teachers themselves should be trained in those subjects and be well-prepared. A large number of faculty members from the Godavari districts attended a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 'Custom and Semi-Custom IC Design Using Cadence Tools,' organised jointly by the ECE Department of SRKR Engineering College, JNTU- Kakinada (Spoke Academy), and the NIT Warangal Electronics & ICT Academy with support from the Union Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. The programme runs from June 16 to 20. Dr N Uday Kumar, Head of the ECE Department, presided over the event. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal explained that JNTU-K gives high priority to faculty training, and this offline training is more beneficial than online training, which is why it was organised. He emphasised that renowned software experts from across the country would be sharing new technologies, and participants should make the most of this opportunity. Dr N Uday Kumar mentioned that many faculty members are taking advantage of this opportunity given to SRKR Engineering College in the current academic year. Sudhir Kumar Katta and Pulavarthi Rajendranath, Senior Application Engineers from NTuPle Technologies Private Limited, Bengaluru, will be imparting new technologies to the faculty.

KSRM College's eighth Graduation Day conducted
Kadapa: The 8th Graduation ceremony of B Tech students of 2021-2025 batch of KSRM Engineering College (Autonomous) was held grandly at KOR Auditorium in the college on Wednesday. Chief guests Padma Shri Dr MYS Prasad, Indian scientist and former Director SDSC, Sriharikota, and Prof Durga Prasad, Director of Academic Audit, JNTUA, Anantapur, presented degrees to the students and presented certificates to the branch-wise toppers.
