Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery Trailer Offers Clues But Not Everything
Daniel Craig returns as Detective Benoit Blanc in Knives Out 3.
The new trailer for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery provides just a few clues about the story without revealing too much.
Daniel Craig returns as detective Benoit Blanc and this time, a mystery involving something supernatural may test him. The trailer, unveiled at Tudum 2025, doesn't clearly reveal the victim's identity, but it could be Simone Vivane, played by Cailee Spaeny.
In the newly released trailer, Benoit is seen interacting with several cast members but not as much with Simone.
According to Screen Rant, the trailer creates some mystery around Simone's presence. She isn't clearly shown, but there are two shots – one from behind and another of a woman surrounded by a red light. She doesn't appear much elsewhere in the trailer, and many believe both shots could be of Simone.
Speaking about the cast of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, director Rian Johnson told Tudum, 'We've been very lucky with each of these movies to have gathered some of my favourite actors on the planet, and that's absolutely the case here. They're also all lovely folks who get along, which is the dinner party aspect of it. When you're making an ensemble movie like this, I think that's key."
The title Wake Up Dead Man comes from a U2 song released in 1997 on their album Pop. Johnson feels that the album doesn't get enough credit and thinks the song fits perfectly as the title for his film. He also shared that the phrase Wake Up Dead Man had stayed with him for a long time. He first came across it while listening to old American folk music.
Other than Daniel Craig and Cailee Spaeny, the upcoming suspense thriller also stars Josh O'Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Daryl McCormack and Thomas Haden Church. The movie will be streaming on Netflix from December 12.

BTS' Suga to establish Min Yoongi Treatment Centre for autism care with Severance Hospital, pledges $3.6M for patients with ASD
It's not every day that BTS' Suga, born Min Yoongi, makes headlines—but when he does, it's often for a meaningful cause. The rapper and producer of the world-renowned K-pop group is currently trending across K-pop Twitter (now X) after news broke of his partnership with Severance Hospital to launch the Min Yoongi Treatment Centre. The initiative aims to support treatment and promote the social independence of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The announcement was made on June 23, just two days after Suga officially completed his mandatory military service as a public service worker. Severance Hospital held a groundbreaking ceremony for the centre and shared the news publicly, along with two photos of Suga—presumably taken at the event—posing with hospital officials. Notably, this was also his first public appearance since his DUI controversy. According to reports published by Korean media outlets on Naver, the centre is set to offer a wide range of services, including language, psychological, and behavioural therapies, with a focus on linking clinical care with research. Suga's collaboration with Severance Hospital and his offer to donate 5 billion KRW His collaboration with Severance Hospital began last November when he first met Professor Chun Geun Ah of the Department of Paediatrics, a leading expert in paediatric psychiatry. Through a series of conversations, Suga learnt about the urgent need for long-term, tailored care for individuals with ASD, something rarely addressed through current short-term interventions. He ultimately agreed with Professor Chun that a dedicated treatment centre was necessary and expressed his intention to donate 5 billion KRW (approximately 3,621,718 USD) for its establishment. This marks the largest donation ever made by an artist, not just to Severance Children's Hospital but to the entire Yonsei Medical Centre. The birth of the MIND programme In collaboration with Professor Chun, Suga helped develop the MIND programme, a social skills group therapy programme that integrates music into traditional treatment. The name 'MIND' stands for Music, Interaction, Network, and Diversity, reflecting its core goals: enhancing sensory experiences through music, encouraging social communication, building supportive networks, and fostering a society that embraces individual differences. Children in the programme engage in music-based activities like singing, writing lyrics, playing instruments, and expressing their feelings through creative exercises. From March to June this year, Suga actively participated in weekend sessions with children with ASD. He even played guitar alongside them, guiding them to explore rhythm, harmony, and emotion. At times, he personally taught them how to play instruments, becoming directly involved in shaping the program's structure and impact. Expanding treatment and research at the Min Yoongi Centre Once construction is completed in September, the Min Yoongi Treatment Centre will formally open its doors and expand its offerings. In addition to the MIND program, the centre will provide social skills training for individuals with developmental disabilities, along with established therapies like Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) and speech therapy. Plans are also in place to promote clinical research, academic presentations, and the publication of programme manuals to objectively document and evaluate the effectiveness of MIND. Professor Chun praised Suga's involvement, saying, 'Beyond financial support, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the sincere talent donation and volunteer work that Suga has shown over the past several months. I have been deeply impressed by his consistent sincerity and intellectual attitude.' She added that the ultimate goal is to help children with autism spectrum disorder grow into confident, independent members of society—and to reduce the stigma surrounding ASD through increased awareness. Suga on the power of music and meaningful change Reflecting on his experience, Suga shared, 'Through the programme preparation and volunteer work with Professor Chun Geun-ah over the past seven months, I've deeply felt that music can be a valuable channel for expressing emotions and communicating with the world.' He continued, 'I am very grateful and happy that I was able to participate in the treatment process for children with autism spectrum disorder, and I will continue to work hard so that more children can become members of our society.' As fans celebrate his return from service, this initiative further cements Suga's role not only as a global artist but also as someone deeply committed to making a difference through music, compassion, and community. Suga's long-standing commitment to mental health and youth Even during his years promoting with BTS, Suga has consistently shown a deep interest in social cause, especially mental health, depression among youth, and behavioural issues. He has quietly supported various charitable efforts over the years and has often used his platform and music to advocate for awareness and understanding of mental health struggles. Ex-THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon denies prostitution allegations, accuses agency of wrongful termination
Former member of K-pop group THE BOYZ, Ju Hak-nyeon, has firmly denied allegations of prostitution and accused his former agency of deliberately framing him and unlawfully terminating his contract. The idol issued a detailed personal statement, alleging that he was "turned into a sex criminal overnight" due to manipulated information and media misreporting. Hak-nyeon admitted to meeting adult film actress Asuka Kirara, but stressed that he committed no criminal offence. He further claimed that false reports and a pre-planned attempt to expel him from the agency have left him socially destroyed and under extreme distress. In an emotional letter addressed to fans and the public, Ju Hak-nyeon wrote: "Hello, I'm a student. Before the letter of inquiry was sent to the affiliate agency by the weekly magazine, I first heard that the photo had been taken. So, I explained the situation to the affiliate agency and asked for help. I admitted the part I did wrong and wanted to make a choice that would minimise harm to potential members. I spent many days with my eyes closed, thinking about the fans who have supported me all this time, and the team members who have been like friends to me. I've been in a lot of pain. Because of this, my activities were stopped immediately, and I discussed the next steps with the company." 'However, the affiliated company suddenly demanded the cancellation of the full contract, along with signing an agreement that included paying more than 200 billion won. They even demanded a huge amount of criminal penalties that are not stated in the contract. They said there was no room for negotiation.' "The very next day, someone filed a report accusing me of sex trafficking with the investigative agency, based on that false article. It was all so strange—this whole process felt prearranged. I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was fabricating reasons to terminate the full contract. There is a growing fear that I am being blackmailed as a sex trafficking perpetrator. All of this happened within just two days." 'So I couldn't just stay silent. The reporter has been sued for publishing a personal opinion and reporting false information. We will also file a civil damages claim against the reporters and journalists involved. From now on, as soon as false reports from specific media outlets are released, I will take legal action against those who accuse me without any basis.' "As of May 30, I am not claiming that my actions were right. To the fans who believed in me and supported me as an idol, I am truly sorry for my careless behaviour. I will reflect deeply, and I will carry this with me in my heart for the rest of my life." "For the first time, I was suddenly branded a sex offender and socially destroyed one morning for reasons I still don't understand. Wherever I went, it felt like people were pointing fingers at me. My tears haven't stopped as I think about my fans, my mother, and my family, who have always supported and encouraged me. If I give up my life without revealing the truth, I will be remembered forever as a sex offender." "I will hold the reporters and media outlets accountable for falsely reporting me as a sex offender without reason. I also want to uncover who is behind all of this." "From a personal perspective, it is extremely difficult and frightening to fight against a huge company, but I will endure until the end—for the many people who care about and support me." 'Thank you for reading this lengthy post.' Ju Hak-nyeon has already initiated legal proceedings against the journalist and publications involved in spreading what he calls 'false' and 'prearranged' accusations. He also expressed deep regret to his fans while maintaining that he had not violated the law. Describing the past few weeks as harrowing, he vowed to expose those responsible for what he believes is a targeted effort to end his career and reputation.
